Hello Tamas. Yes, this grill does have the optional graphite coating and it does appear to be a high temperature paint of some kind (not anodization). So far, the finish has held up well but this grill is usually stored indoors. I hope this helps and have a dandy day!
Always enjoy your videos. I also recently got the bug to play with charcoal and bought a webber kettle. Looking forward to hearing your views on the PK once you have more time on it. The bear was also a nice addition, lol.
Hello LockedNLoaded and thank you! Can't tell you how many times I almost bought a Weber Kettle and, in the end, I might anyway. I'm curious to see how a direct comparison of the two might turn out. Thanks again!
@@boomerantics9586 iF you do, I'll look forward to the comparison video. Also, if you go with a weber, I'd recommend the slow and sear. I have enjoyed using it on the Weber.
You need to order some Bird Bombs and some Cannon Fuze. You will have to order separate but they are 10 times more louder than any Firecracker you will ever hear. European Hunters use them to flush out birds. 1 will blow a watermelon or cabbage into tiny pieces.... I would suggest throwing one of those half distance of closer to the Bear and I PROMISE YOU any Bear will RUN and they won’t ever come back to your area. It’s loud! Either that or start investing in some Electrical Bear Tape. Use the tape kind of electrical wire so they can see it and not accidentally disable your system by accidentally freaking out and twisting up in the fence. Bear won’t mess with an electrical fence long or repeat.
Stay tuned, I have a black powder cannon bored to fire golf balls and a mold which has also been used to cast lead cannon balls of the same diameter. The bears respond very well to it.
That is one nice looking grill! how did the steaks turn out? Did they taste any different or was the cooking experience different. Have fun and loving the vids. cheers
Hello Marky and thank you! The steaks turned out great, especially for a first cook -beginner’s luck? The only difference I noticed was the slightly different flavor profile the hickory imparted which is a pleasant change of pace. Otherwise, the cook went just like it might on one of the larger pits. Thanks again and looking forward to seeing what you’re up to next!
Sorry but I really like your smoker/grilling videos..... and I do have a life. All the best from Copenhagen / Denmark
Very kind Martin, thank you!
Is there a coating on it, paint maybe? Did it develop visible scratches? Thanks.
