When I connect the 24 pin power connector to the board isn't the RGB lights on the board to light up? As nothing lights up on mine just the CMOS button on the back just stays lighting.
I ordered mine just today, the board is beautiful, cant wait to get it and start building my new 3900x rig :D I've been an Asus fan for years but Gigabyte Aorus has been winning me over the last couple years! Need to upgrade my gpu and monitor soon and I've been eyeballing the Aorus products like crazy :D
This thing is VERY HEAVY..... i think this is because the HEATSINK that cooling the m.2 and all those stuff. But believe me you WONT regret it when you bought this thing. Especially the connectivity and the premium component they put in here..... i put my ryzen 9 3950x in there and dual aorus 2tb gen4 Nvme.... so worth it
It's a beautiful board and it was the one I was planning on getting since X570 hardware was starting to be announced. I really loved the 90-degree connectors and the fact that it uses a heatpipe on the chipset rather than a fan that can potentially fail. It's just a very clean-looking motherboard. $700 is a little too steep though.
AORUS it’s by far the best looking of any X570 board to date. It was pretty genius the way you put all the connectors on the right side and at 90°. It should make for some very clean-looking builds with the right case. I’m still considering saving for a little longer. If not, There’s always the Master!
Good looking board but eTeknix did a X570 motherboard benchmark and the Gigabyte X570 Extreme was very average and was beaten by much cheaper boards... Sad.
"Better"? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. Even with all true phases on the VRMs, the Xtreme is MUCH SLOWER than the MSI Godlike, which does a better job of over-clocking. Truth is, both boards suck. There aren't any good flagship boards for x570. Hopefully the Rev. 2 boards will fix all the glaring errors.

hey, nice tricks on disappearing boxes, GIVE YOU ADVICE friend, I am a Professional Videographer and Video Editor, you should not move your arms, ask somebody to pick/clean those boxes on your table, so you maintain your seating position. And not to mention, you need proper lighting in front, especially on the product your holding, your video is quite dark. The reason for me to watch this video, cause I will have that motherboard tomorrow morning, so I know WHAT IS IN THE BOX, you need to study more of standard calibration on your Monitor, so you will know if your video is dark or overexposed. Take it from, I've been doing this video editing professionally 6-8years already and doing videography since I was in High School, including video editing. Learn to calibrate your Monitor, use Spyder or other monitor calibration
Soooo..... Does the Fan Commander in this case increase the amount of fan connectors? And also the first X570 MOBO which doesn't have f****ng chipset fan. And you know there is other motherboard called ASRock X570 Aqua, which doesn't have chipset fan either.

Would you recommend using the heat sink on this board to cover your new AORUS NvMe gen 4 ssd, or should I take off the top heatsink on the board and use the copper heatsink that you guys send with the ssd? No Thunderbolt 3???? This has 16 true phase VRM...but is still much slower than the MSI Godlike which is 14+4. What's the point of true phases if the system is slow? This board has a couple of advantages over the Godlike, just not the ones that really matter. That's disappointing, because I was leaning toward getting this mobo. Is there a reason it only has 4 RAM slots rather than 8? Also, what RAM modules are recommended? I'm talking BEST high speed, low latency for 64gb total.

Is there a difference performance wise to go with 4x8GB vs 2x16GB RAM for this board? I read about the dual channel daisy-chain topology but find conflicting information on its effects.
Assuming the same memory chips are used in both and daisy chain topology mobo. In theory you can run a bit higher (like 1 tick higher) memory clock with 2x16GB. But that may not happen and may you end up using the same speed, then performance would be very similar. This happens because this is dual rank vs. dual rank. If you find 16GB single rank then you could clock it higher, but the downside is that performance is better in dual rank and you would need much higher memory clock to compensate. The second downside is that 16GB single rank certainly wouldn't be with Samsung B-die, so you also loose performance because of loose timings. For Ryzen 3k and 5k series it is important to stick to 1:1:1 ratio and that is maxed out at 3800 and 4000 respectively (and depending on silicon lottery) otherwise you get latency penalty. That penalty can be reduced with very high mem speeds, like around 5000. Unfortunately that isn't easy and I'm pretty sure is only achievable with 2x8GB single rank memory modules. So considering all the aspects to maximize performance on Ryzen platform, you should look for Samsung B-die memory modules capable of 3200 CL14 or 3600 CL 14 with maximum of 32GB total capacity.
From what I've read, the infinity fabric tends to go a-sync above 3600mhz. 3200 w/ timings if 14~16 and 3600 w/ timings of 16~18 tend to be optimal, any higher frequency or timings will increase latency
Oh wow, and ouch. And how come this product not available at any store unless you want to buy from "resellers" for double the price? And how come it has so many negative reviews regarding quality and QA, BIOS, the lack of Tech support, etc... Not good

I got a question 4u!: Is it true, that soon (in 1-2 years) DDR5 Ram sticks will be on market and that your new x570 Xtreme and your TRX-40 motherboard does not support those new DDR5 Rams? If so, it is kinda not worth to buy your two new motherboards! That is so fuking sad, man!
I got an X570 extreme. The board is decent, but the software for it by Aorus is trash. It caused my system to blue screen. After reinstalling windows and NOT installing the Aorus software it works fine. If you're wondering how bad the software is ... the error messages have grammatical errors in them like "No Any Updates". And you'll have a similar experience if you contact Gigabyte's E-Support. I'm frankly never going to buy an Aorus product again. It's been a terrible experience! I had a B350 motherboard before this, and it's making me this that board more and more each day. Really regret support Aorus
I got an AORUS X570 Extreme Funny enough it was working fine. UNTIL I installed all the Aorus drivers and software. NOW my PC keeps crashing and RGB fusion keeps fighting for control over the lighting of my Corsair Ram. ( also have iCue installed, because I use their keyboard, fan kits and mouse ) RGB Fusion could very likely be the WORST RGB program. Sure you could avoid the software, but then you wouldn't be able to use all the features ... IMO, avoid this motherboard and any other AORUS product. I also got the AORUS RTX 2080 SUPER and it's not much better. The Aorus engine is TERRIBLE! The quality of these products frankly do not matter, because it's completely eclipsed by terrible AORUS software!

Great question! Our Xtreme heatsink is big enough to cool our AORUS Gen 4 nvme SSD! So either way you are covered!
