It seemed like a one-off gimmick the first time, but the more I hear Vinny use reverb for his voice the more I want. Kinda makes me wish game engines had an option to pipe mic input through the audio system and back out to OBS/Xsplit/etc. somehow so streamers' voices automatically sounded like whatever environment they were exploring.

They are often even in front of oncoming trains and even in front of street lights to help either guide or warn individuals not to go forward. Of course, they provide guidance for those who can see them as well since they're bright yellow. I see individuals using it now that I live here but I actually never saw anything like it back in my home country.

Was at Shinjuku station last year and spent about 40 minutes trying to re-find the luggage locker we'd left our suitcases in, because we needed a specific elevator to go down to its location while all the other elevators in the vicinity only went down to subway platforms (which you had to use your train card to pass through).
Vinny is the guy who escapes the eldritch horror location by incidentally doing the exact sequence of actions that let him escape and thereby not noticing any of the scary shit.
If the WR is 1 minute they probably just kept trying until every single hallway was an anomaly and they just instantly turned around every time and won that way

Having just visited Japan for the first time, this game is oddly comforting to me. So many details are exactly like memories I have of the winding corridors between platforms, and how impeccably clean everything was.
Wow, the "liminal" games have really stepped up their-redundancy not intended-game as of late! Really liked this arcade-style approach to this concept, and the encouraged replayability with finding all the anomalies. Being able to revisit the prior hallway to catch your mistakes was a very nice QoL feature, actually :) Also wow, Melpertsaucebert unironically did pretty good during those speedruns--several times he was catching anomalies I had to pause to notice at all. True Vine Gaming moment.
It would be cool to see a perfect transition because I feel like no matter what even if you transfer through from one stage into the next, it could just be an anomaly of the first anomaly.
I love Vinny, but man watching him play this was kinda hard. Chat told him “the most minute details might be an anomaly” and he continued just not really looking over everything when that’s.. kind of the fun. It’s great when you spend a few minutes looking through each loop and then getting jumpscared by a tiny detail.
