@@FatalKitsune Same honestly, it was incredibly unexpected. Honestly other ones later still got me because they're not as well hidden so you can just turn around and see them lol. Their airport also has like a shadow person that got stuck for me that constantly creeped me out every time I walked on the back area
I can picture it now He's just having a random conversation about something unrelated and any sees the duende and just like freezes in place and pauses the game . Then he'll use this deep serious voice saying that he's been tricked. Then reads a few chat messages and then reluctantly continues while still getting scared of the alien

I'm only 30 minutes in but I realize... this is like a weird, spooky Pokémon Snap and the idea seems really obvious in hindsight, I'm amazed that nobody did this exact game before. Or I just missed it.
It seems inspired by Afraid Of Monsters a bit and perhaps Fatal Frame and Umarangi Generation

I thought of Fatal Frame too but it almost feels too "involving" to be like Pokémon Snap, Interior Worlds almost feels "chill" because nothing threatens you and you play the game pretty much at your own pace
There's a cutesy horror Pokemon Snap type game called Penko Park. While it's definitely more cute, it has that horror feeling.

That camera looks like it was modeled after an old Canon AE-1, even with its film rewind noise. Very cool!
They went through the trouble of modeling an AE1 but the viewfinder looks like a camcorder with the zoom and exposure buttons.
Pretty sure it's based on the FT actually, the exposure dial and bare metal winding lever give it away

Its crazy that when Vinny mentioned his school nightmares they were surprisingly similar to mine! I can never remember what specific class but my worst school nightmare has me realizing I haven't attended a class for months and that I need to finish all of my homework before the big test taking place later that week. My entire time as a student and I don't think I've ever even skipped a class though! The last few times it happened I managed to realize that I was dreaming before my stress levels got too high and woke up.
Thats how everyone’s are pretty much. Mine have graduated now to “I forgot to clock into work for three hours, but for whatever reason my bosses didn’t fire me”.

The oddest vending machine I've ever encountered was at a food hall a friend of mine and I like to stop at sometimes. The vending machine sold: small ziplock bags of random pokemon cards, single VHS tapes with and without their covers, and tacky novelty items like bacon scented soap.
that sounds like its probably a small business owner, or even a regular entrepreneurial type person who bought a vending machine to sell whatever they wanted and convinced a mall to let them set it up

An interesting thing about Patrick Bateman and Travis Bickle is people will often identify with those characters without realizing the social commentary.
Like Travis Bickle is about the alienation people feel in their everyday lives potentially leading them to do horrible things in a warped sense of justice. He's sympathetic because that really does happen to people, but it's not a good thing. It's a sign of a broken system.
Patrick Bateman was kinda about the utter depravity of the ruling class and the casual way the rich and powerful can basically get away with treating people like bugs. Ironically tho, those people are also alienated from the world around them in that they've walled themselves off thru their exploitation of others. Patrick seems to be aware of this on some level and it drives him crazy.
But yeah these aren't good people. They're products of their environments as we all are and I think that's the point. The fact that you have young people identifying with this stuff just shows how sick our society is. These are the Frankenstein's monsters of capitalism.

Roosevelt Field is NOT a failing mall. It’s one of the few that’s actually doing well.
The background music and sound design are outstanding, really add a lot to this game.

i think the whole "people aspiring to be characters" bit is really just a meme. yeah there are maybe some people out there that genuinely wish they could be senator armstrong i guess, but i'd say the vast majority of it is people just dicking around, or finding qualities about those characters that are actually likable/relatable and clinging to that.

Seriously, as someone who isn’t a big anime fan, the Ghibli movies are some of the greatest movies out there in my opinion. I would totally recommend Spirited Away especially.

I have seen a good pizza vending machine. If you happen to visit Hiroshima, look for Fukuromachi Park, about ten blocks south of Hiroshima Castle. On the south side of the park, in a little nook between buildings, there's a vending machine that will bake you a pizza over about five minutes. It won't be gourmet pizza, but expect about halfway decent frozen pizza quality. I got it once for the novelty, and it was pretty alright.

I travel with a group & none of us can tolerate sharing a room let alone a bed, so renting one house is cheaper & more comfortable than a hotel suite with 2 beds & a cot, or separate hotel rooms. I also cook to save money, so a hotel kitchenette won't cut it. I also find that house rentals are a helluva lot cleaner, & you don't have to put up with noise from people above or next door.

A quick google search reveals that New York City alone has a third of the entire population of Australia, the country I live in.
How could anyone stand being around that many people is beyond me. My entire state has 1.7 million people in a 379,725 square mile area.

I don't live there, but having been for a while it really does not feel like that many people live there. At any given time, most people are
1. Not near you.
2. Inside the buildings, which are extremely tall and packed so closely together that there aren't even any alleyways (at least in Manhattan).
At any given time, most main sidewalks are full, but at some point it just becomes like background noise. Individual people are lost in the sea you're a part of and you kinda stop paying attention to them. It's nuts.

iirc something to do with copyright claims and whatnot, so the VODs on Twitch have to be manually reviewed and then reposted a day later.

Well, tbf, Armstrong in MGR:R was really persuasive and written pretty nicely as a character. Even if you don’t agree with him, you can’t deny he had good points. The game built everything up to the final battle in a pretty good way and the music accompanying the whole thing was phenomenal.
As for Banjo from Banjo Kazooie, you can learn from him just by knowing what happened. He slept in for the morning and woke up to his sister kidnapped by a witch who wanted her youth, does no bullshitting in starting his journey to save her with Kazooie who was an absolute big help, while saving a bunch of other people in the process. Plus, in the title screen, you could see Banjo cooking up something presumably for everyone in the house which was really sweet.
