  • Bolos levedos
    5 lbs flour
    3 cups sugar
    10 eggs
    ½ cup butter room temperature
    2 tbsp salt
    3 tbsp yeast
    4 cups warm milk
    1 cup warmer water
    In a small bowl put, yeast 1 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp flour and water. Mix well and put aside. In a large bowl place flour and salt. In a mixer place butter, sugar and eggs beating well until fluffy. Add egg mixture and yeast mixture to the flour making sure it's well mixed. Cover, let rise for 15 minutes, after giving a few folds to start pulling the gluten to stretch the dough. Cover again and let the dough rest to rise or until doubled in size. Warm up the electrical grill and set at 300 degrees. Pull small pieces of dough shaping into tennis ball size and place aside to rest. Shape all the dough once done then start cooking the first one that was shaped. The balls will flattened on their own once they are flipped. Cook for 5 minutes per side on until golden brown and they feel firm to touch.

    ½ xícara de manteiga em temperatura ambiente
    2 colheres de sopa de sal
    3 colheres de sopa de fermento
    4 xícaras de leite morno
    1 xícara de água mais quente
    Em uma tigela pequena coloque o fermento 1 colher de açúcar, 2 colheres de farinha e água. Misture bem e reserve. Em uma tigela grande coloque a farinha e o sal. Na batedeira coloque a manteiga, o açúcar e os ovos batendo bem até ficar cremoso. Adicione a mistura de ovos e a mistura de fermento à farinha, certificando-se de que esteja bem misturada. Cubra, deixe crescer por 15 minutos, depois de dar algumas dobras para começar a puxar o glúten para esticar a massa. Cubra novamente e deixe a massa descansar para crescer ou até dobrar de tamanho. Aqueça a grelha elétrica e coloque-a em 300 graus. Puxe pequenos pedaços de massa formando uma bola de tênis e coloque-os para descansar. Molde toda a massa depois de pronta e comece a cozinhar a primeira que foi moldada. As bolas ficarão achatadas sozinhas quando forem viradas. Cozinhe por 5 minutos de cada lado até dourar e ficar firme ao toque

    This bread is so good. I always bring a bunch back when I visit family Massachusetts. My wife is Chinese. She and her family also love the bread with the cheese inside. I’m definitely gonna try to make this. Thank you for sharing.
