@@Furzkampfbomber Honestly this setup made me very nervous because in many stories like this the cute romantic interest meet horrible/tragic fate so the happy ending is definitely not the most likely one
@@Furzkampfbomber that could of easily been a setup for a tragic end. So them just ending up happily together is not super common.
fun fact: woodear (assuming that is how the towns name is spelled) is a type of fungus, named because it grows on wood (sometimes it is parasitic when on living trees but usually it just grows on dead wood) and because it looks kind of like an ear. its all wrinkly and its super cool, some (if not all) kinds are edible! we get it here (eastern nebraska) after heavy rains out in the forest

Bro I actually live in Whittier. I can promise we are a lot nicer of a town then this story tells.
As a plumber, the part about the septic connecting to the shower threw me off cause that's how it's supposed to be and it's most likely just backed up
yeah i was thinking "wdym why is it connected to the septic tank?? WHERE ELSE WOULD IT GO??"
My theory: The town was looking in a bad state and was half abandoned because of the people that went missing there due to the static creature and people leaving town for the same reason. Since Malcom loved to party he mightve not cared about the siren and was outside during that time, and even then nobody knows a single thing about this creature of sorts, all they have is the right equipment to alert people about it and that's it. The creature does not fear the siren, the creature just doesn't bother kidnapping people from their houses/hideouts, that is what keeps people safe, away from him.
Great story though, gave me goosebumps!
The creature could be one of those monsters that’s made of thousands of people creating a giant person that makes people want to become one with it

Whenever you upload, it's gonna be a good day at work for me. My job allows me to have earphones on while we work, and I listen to your stories like a podcast. Whenever you get to the chilling parts, and if it's really good it sends shivers down my spine, it becomes an adrenaline boost and I become even more alert and productive in my work. Every story has this one detail that lets you know about the danger ahead. For this one, it's the lady's warning at the front desk about the siren. And after having listened to a bucket load of stories, I instinctively pick it up and eagerly wait for the danger.
But the story of how Jeff and Olivia met is written in such a captivating way that I completely forgot about that warning up until the "siren went off"! I almost forgot this was a creepypasta!
First time a story managed to ambush me like that... I'm amazed, truly impressive story telling! Kudos both to Head of Spectre and Lighthouse Horror!

Every story that you narrate I close my eyes and try to imagine that story of events. The background scenes don't let you create the picture in your mind. I enjoy your stories and can't even imagine what these people went through! Thank you for sharing these awesome stories! I would love to hear any updates on the missing people.
I wish the locals would have talked and explained what that static entity was and why they were so lucky to get a visitation from time to time. But I guess it’s the not knowing that makes it more horrific. Great story and your narration is goose bump tingly on point. ❤️ it!

This reminds me of something weird that happened here where we live. We had a bad storm with powerful thunderstorms ⛈ & lightning ⚡️& the news told everyone not to leave our homes 🏡. It's likely because lightning can kill people, would you want to be outside and get hit suddenly? Absolutely not.
@@mary.1984 lady...use some actual common sense instead of just blurting out what first comes to mind. Storms happen every damn day lady and while some ppl do get struck by lightning(rare) the news don't advise ppl to stay inside during thunderstorms...life goes on during thunderstorms.

I'm glad I live in Canada 🇨🇦 in the middle of nowhere. I definitely don't have to worry about much other than moose bears and Bigfoot. Yes we have sasquach here. I've never seen one but my dad did and I've heard some weird sounds out in the hills

I listen to your stories every night before sleep, and I still haven't come across a story that would've disappointed me. I don't know how you manage to only have fascinating stories but it is very much appreciated! Especially the fae stories, the one about the talking crow, and of course the vampire hotel story, just perfection!👌
As soon as I heard the siren, I knew it was a siren head story
I had this one small town experience that creeped me out! It was on a long road trip and I was running on empty so I searched a gas saving app for the closest station and drove 20 minutes into the woods to find this super small abandoned looking town and luckly the sole pump there took card because there were no people around there.
Finally! someone that listened in a horror story .They said don't go outside he said ok I'm alive from listening 😆

Awesome Story Stephen, I really enjoy the Gigantic Creature/Sirens stories . There are a few of them about, all of them pretty well written and generally come with a ...high body count. As it will be my birthday in just under six hours I am going to claim this one as my birthday creepypasta. Many thanks hahaha. I have to say I did like the road trip angle, I have been fortunate enough to enjoy many over the years and still like to escape on one every now and then and also that a pretty girl used a card trick to introduce herself , nice reversal.
