- It’s been way too long since my last video, so I wanted to get out this update even though the video quality is terrible and I don’t look great. But the saga continues, and now we’re on our second clinical trial.
So glad you posted today. I to am struggling with stage 4 terminal colon cancer, given 6 to 12 months. I am now in month 10. I wanted to let you know how much your words of encouragement mean to me. I so look forward to your videos. You are such an inspiration. Wishing you well and sending love and prayers.

I am so angry 😠 at your employers! Ugh … why don’t you take some kind of leave - on your own terms - or work on your own terms - no more pushing yourself to the brink. This is ridiculous! They should be showering you with praise that you haven’t already resigned. Please don’t worry about replying to us. We will always be here. We appreciate it more than you know when you do say hello! We worry when we don’t hear from you but please don’t push yourself. We will always be here. And we love you so very much ❤❤ snd realize you put all your heart into everything you do. But your employers need to step it up - or you will have to take a step back for your own sake. ❤ ❤❤

I'm so sorry you are going thru this. I'm 66 and have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer (long bones, ribs, spine, lung and lymph mets). I'm just at the two year mark for my "cancerversary" when I was diagnosed, and doing ok so far. I'm not in pain yet. I'm still walking and able to eat. I lost 80 lbs total from before diagnosis to after my IV chemo. I'm now on targeted therapy (hormone blockers) and blood and tumor markers are all ok for now. All of this is like being in a holding pattern. The strangest thing of all for me is that my lifelong depression actually went away. I don't feel joyous every day but I don't feel bad. I feel...content, accepting. There's nothing much I can do but push forward and hope for the best.
I also have some sort of bizarre rash but mine seems to be atopic dermatitis (eczema) which suddenly appeared out of nowhere. I'm using cortisone ointment and refused big steroids. The rash is limited to a few places and is actually starting to heal and stop itching in the past week. I think for most of us with stage 4 cancers, we have lots of annoying things that keep cropping up for treatment. I've had rashes, severe diarrhea, pleural effusions, breathing problems, fatigue beyond anything imaginable, and weird side effects from my oral meds. I can totally empathize with you, TYP.
I'm not afraid of what's ahead. Maybe I should be, but I'm not I believe in the power of prayer and have a strong faith in God. I'm praying for you, TYP, stay strong. Just know that you're not alone. Hugs!

Hey Megan! Great to see you! Glad to hear you have been able to be in those trials. So sorry that those side effects are so rotten. You're a trooper and it's hard to be a trooper. It's ok to rest and as you say, be good to yourself. And sometimes, that means cake. Will be thinking of you, honey.

Hang in there, you're dealing with so much right now. Covid takes it's toll on the body I had it over a year ago and I'm not convinced I'm back to normal yet.

Hi. Just found your channel. I teach meditation for a wellness non profit cancer organization. I have seen wonderful success stories so please don't lose your determination. If you can, practice calming the mind because all of your thoughts affect every cell in your body. Take care of your mind health. Its the one area most people ignore, or they think there is nothing they can do about their thoughts. All of your power lies within your thoughts. You can make this trek ( I dont call it a journey, which sounds enjoyable), i see it as putting on your hiking boots, grab your walking stick and start the climb. The view at the top is stunning!. Love You and be good to yourself!!!

Also, I understand about the carbs. I can do really well without carbs for a while, but then I end up binging. Not to, but it’s so difficult. Anyway, my prayers are all set with you. Like I said in an earlier post, if you can, please let us know how you’re doing so many of us care about you.

I’m not 100% sure but I think I picked it up from a family member. I saw them the week before and he had a cough, but told me, “don’t worry it’s not COVID.” 🙃
