In 2021, wanting to acquire a new vehicle that would not empty my funds, I window-shopped and test-drove both Peugeot 2008 (at their Santo Domingo branch) and Honda HRV (at the Manila Bay branch). Both are super nice across a number of indicators and would have wanted to get the two if i followed my darker side. Eventually I went for Honda HRV--and I have only good things to say about HRV which I call a highly-charged adolescent, or humaharurot sa bilis, in its own category. Also, Honda has more dealers in the Philippines than Peugeot so servicing and parts aren't much of a problem.
You didn't mention the 2008 has mood lighting, 2 USB ports sa rear, speed limiter integrated with the speed recognition, lane keep assist that's integrated with the blind spot monitor (wala sa Honda). Also rain sensing wipers, proximity Keyless entry and walkway.
The conservative me is leaning towards the HRV due to its safety features and with a turbo engine to boot. However, I believe the base HRV is enough for us. Sayang din yung halos 350K na savings. 🙂
Why not consider the base model civic so you'll still get the same turbo engine from the RS variant? the only downside I see is the ground clearance since mas mataas ng unti kay HRV.
Peugeot at 1.5m? Hirap talaga pumili pero it's more on your preference as an owner and driver. HR-V is still on top for me after watching multiple reviews.

I think, if it is the sole car, choose the HR V (bec of more dealerships and service centers). As an alternate vehicle, choose the 2008.
for me, I would choose the Honda HRV V Turbo 💪

@@monching6919 Exactly, sobrang hassel ng low ground clearance due to our ill-maintained roads and unhumane road humps.🤕🤬
Awesome comparo, thanks for sharing this video, i must admit, my vote goes to the HRV 🤔👍
Hyundai creta boss pa review naman saka mga bagong kotse ng hyundai under new management.
I’d take the honda only because of the more powerful engine. The 2008 looks more premium though
good choices for the price point.
French car you will be the one to adjust and familiarize on system.

ill choose creta than these two SCCs
Safety first, it’s HR-V for me.
₱1.75 Mil na ang Peugeot 2008 compared sa HR-V V Turbo na ₱1.65Mil
umm it's honda for me! simple pero rock!
2023 Peugeot 5008 hands down
pwede maging imporsinator n Bella Flores si Stanly Chi.😂✌️
i choose honda hr-v
Sir feusio ung pronounce po sng sasakyan

Summary: Peugeot is for adventure like a spirited teen while the HRV is more of a family oriented man =))
Lets wait for the Peugeot 2023.. wrong timeline kasi Peugeot 2008 kasi year 2022 na. haha
