Had the same problem, after the doorbell working flawlessly for 6 months. I reset the batteries, and that worked...until the next morning when that doorbell-cam was again off line. I measured the voltage of the batteries. Each was over 1.5 volts, but I replaced both with new batteries of the same type. So far so good. Try turning down the sensitivity setting on that camera. Your batteries should last longer - less activity, less recordings, less communication with the sync module. My 2 cents...
I have learned that Blink is no good. Went through 2 Blink Doorbells. I have 8 cameras and Blink cannot keep up, it only records one at a time and the whole system is busy until that camera is done. I started buying Alfred cameras and they do not have these issues. If there is motion you got live view immediately, not 3 minutes later. Blink no good.
I had some similar issues as well, but with a wifi booster took care of the connection issue. As for the delay in the notifications, you can change it to notify immediately instead of after recording is complete in the Alexa app. I also ended up having this doorbell finally kick it, but amazon sent me out the newest version under warranty at no charge.
Open Blink app, clink on settings, clink on Device and system, clink on device giving you problems under system, clink on all devices, clink on device under cameras, clink on General settings, link on network and reconnect. Not going to lie. It took me 6 hours to figure out 😅
One of my batteries was near 0, the other 1.5v and the red light was blinking. Didn't expect there to be a indicator light with dead batteries, but now we all know. I put in a AA NiMh 1.3v and it works temporarily.
The same happen often with my blink doorbell. The bad part is the fact I’m continually should keeping an eye tracking about the doorbell working status, it is crazy…
I have a blink doorbell and I did everything on the app it tells me to do, and nothing, and I did everything on your video too but it just KEEP on blinking red what's up with this it's driving me nuts
Actually, it’s just a reset🤷♂️, but I just had this again and it didn’t work. Had to call tech support and they found the doorbell was dead. They sent out a new unit under warranty with no issue. New video showing the design updates just uploaded.
Having same issue... it is only two weeks old. I don't think it is WiFi related because it worked flawless until today, and it should theoretically reconnect itself. I also don't think it's batteries as its only two weeks old. I wish there was an easier way to reset it than having to take it off... Also, does the app ever say the batteries are low before it dies?
Yes the app will show estimated battery levels. If it’s that new though call the tech line. I ended up having this happen again a little while later and they walked through the steps and determined it was an issue with the unit and sent a new one out under warranty.
My problem started with my module green light solid blue blinking. I move a battery replacement and I restarted the entire system. Doorbell rings but comers are all offline.
I had the same issue, but I deleted the camera from the system. Now, it doesn't show up when I try to re-add it. I go to the Wi-Fi settings, but the camera isn't there to connect to, so I can't go any further. I have tried taking the batteries out and pushing the reset button. The red light flashes, so I think the batteries are okay.
You may have to go back through the setup process of scan the QR code to add it back into the system and then you can find it. Hope this helps, figure its worth a shot.
If you have an iPhone try this: Settings\ scroll down to blink\ turn off local networks then turn it back on\ open blink app\ scan QR code then it should connect again
My father-in-law is having an issue where his b Blink camera will go offline for several hours in the middle of the night (when he actually wants it to serve as eyes as movement around the exterior of his home. I have reset it and we moved the sync module closer to the particular camera. It works for a time then goes back to the same behavior. I am wondering if upgrading to a mesh wifi system would help in keeping a more consistent signal to the this camera which is over his garage and driveway. The camera is currently 30" from the module with two walls between the location of the module and the camera. I have not had this particular issue with my own Blink cameras, so I can't replicate the issue. Any suggestions?
I added a wifi booster to my home, as I have cameras around the house and some were having this issue with signal strength. After adding the booster, the issue was resolved. It sounds like your father-in-law may have the same issue. I did make a video on the booster, hopefully this helps.
Mine is hardwired. It doesn't go offline, but it stops working. When I first installed it (hardwired), it rang the inside bell, but said the voltage was too low. It stopped working completely. I upgraded the voltage transformer. It worked on the first ring, then nothing. I tried the reset by removing the batteries. Again, it worked on the first ring, then nothing. When I remove the camera from the hard wiring, it will work on just batteries (just not when it's touching the hardwire contact points.) Any ideas what might be causing the problem? I also had to bend out the contact points on the camera.
I live in Michigan so our temps put it through a pretty good test last winter and it held up just fine. I had one offline issue and have replaced the batteries once.
my wired blink doorbell wont connect to my new wifi that is 5GHz however I found out they dont work on this so I changed my wifi connection to 2.4GHZ and it will not recognize the blink. I did all steps and the blink is not on the wifi list. I have contacted customer support probably 20 times by email and they have not given me any other solutions. Very disappointed. Should I get my money back from Amazon and try another system?
If you have an iPhone try this: Settings\ scroll down to blink\ turn off local networks then turn it back on\ open blink app\ scan QR code then it should connect again
So I have a question about the Blink doorbell. Does the old indoor chime ring every time you press the button on the Blink? I want to fit one for someone with a hearing problem and callers often need to ring more than once. She has an Echo Show 5 but no smart phone. We tried with a Ring Wired, but when you press the doorbell button it sounded the Ring Chime but wouldn't "re-arm" for a minute so the chime wouldn't re-sound and after a minute the visitor has given up and left. Thanks.
You can increase the volume setting for the chime, and also in my house I have added echo dots in our master bedroom and basement that also announce when someone is at the door and we are to far away to hear it. So you could add those to common areas she is at to help her hear it.
@@BusyBeeLiving Thanks, and apologies for hijacking your video! But my question is "Does the existing mechanical chime go off EVERY TIME you press the doorbell button?". On a Ring doorbell this is not the case; it's locked out for around a minute after the first press.
@@jonathanInLondonUK Yes it does, there is a setting that you can have it between 10 to 60s. Mine is set for 10s but I just went and hit it 5 times repeatedly and the existing chime rang every time.
@@BusyBeeLiving Looks like I'll be buying one :) Just need to sort out the fact that UK door bells run at 8V and not 24V but that's not insurmountable. Grateful thanks.
@@BusyBeeLiving My power went out last week and have not been able to reconnect the sync module. Tried a million times and kept telling me the wrong password. I will try the battery removal and see if that helps. I love the blink system and their customer service is pretty good, but wondering why my original sync module stopped connecting?
The contact plate or spring might be bent out of position, but be careful not to snap them. As for securing to the wall, this can be tricky but try to get it as tight against the mounting bracket as possible and then slide it downward until you hear it click into place.
Mine is 75% offline and sometimes 25% online. WORST. Also no matter how many doorbells I make or minutes I wake, it never goes online… I have to wait till it randomly does.

@@BusyBeeLiving ; Well, as I said, I purchased three of the doorbell cameras. The one I installed at my front door works okay. The ones I have at my side and back door very rarely work. My router setup is closer to the front door. I guess thats why that camera works better than the other two. But, my house is fairly small, one story, 1500sq ft.. Never have a problem with my wifi in any part of the house and my tablets even work outside in the yards. So I dont believe my internet service is the problem. I’ve tried resetting the other two cameras. I’ve tried taking out the batteries. I’ve tested the batteries with a tester and they are full. I would first pull the batteries and let it sit for a bit. This resets the system and sometimes you’re good to go after that.
