I had a 2017 Silverado with the 6.2 and was my favorite vehicle ever! Zero to 60 in smoking time and 22-26 mpg on the highway. Best kept secret ever with GM. I almost kissed the salesman after I’d had the truck for several months and was in for an oil change. Loved the power and ridiculous mileage with a crew cab 4 WD truck!!! And this was the 6 speed transmission.....crazy! Nice review👍
It's a badass truck! Test drove one last night and bought it. Picking it up today. The interior is a little plain and boring,.but the extra features make up for it, and the 6.2L motor really puts icing on the cake
Getting used to the auto stop, it startled us the first few tests it started. Just got the same truck with tech package, 22" wheels and cat back performance package. Love everything about it.
I think auto buyers, from even one generation ago...can't fully appreciate, what a quantum-leap forward, these pickups are. Until you have driven, hauled, towed-with, and lived-in one...it is difficult, to simply describe. I love my '97 Fleet side, with 400k, on the clock. But by comparison, the '97, is a crop-duster...and the '21, is a Learjet.
If I ever bought one of these it would have to be USED for sure.....I feel like 65-70 grand for a pickup is just CRAZY! You can buy a fixer upper home for that! Thanks for posting and showing all the features.....it is a beauty of a pickup!
Just picked up one two days ago.....mind blown! Autostop is fine when you are in "Normal Mode" (Read that "sane" mode) around town....in "Sport" mode (read that monster mode), you just turn it off for the stop light grand prix ! The oddest thing I have ever seen in a vehicle is when you are sitting still, the tack reads about 100 RPM, and you cannot tell...17 modes of engine operation and a 10 speed transmission and it is completely seamless. You have to be careful when you jump on it because you will be going 2 1/2 to 3 times faster than you would guess....I broke the tires loose on a wet road when I briefly hammered it....the 10 speed was racking down.....in the heads up display.....90 MPH. (Before you jump on me, it already had 550 miles on it from the dealer, so I was at 850 miles, when I did this little stunt).
Good evening was wondering if this vehicle that you showed off on TH-cam has lumbar support for the passenger also question number 2 was wondering how much a 2019 high country would cost today in 2023 as of September ps. Love the presentation and the video

Good video. I drove a car in Europe that had start/stop. It was terrible. This one seems to be much better. Will be interesting to try. I have a new LTZ w/ 6.2l coming this week (hopefully). We really liked the High Country package, but could not see spending the extra $10K. Our LTZ is well loaded and less than $50K.
I love the high country especially with the umber interior. My friend just got a 19 Havana brown. Jealous. As far as the start stop it’s a bit gimmicky to me. For the amount of time the engine is off it probably takes as much fuel to restart the engine. Probably not making a huge difference in economy. Excellent video and I wish I could afford a high country.
WRONG! The starter has zero, zip, NADA to do with restarting your engine when your vehicle goes into a auto stop mode. So your worries about wearing out your starter is without any merit what so ever. Actually, the engine restarts with a battery! That's right a battery refires your engine. Yes, that is a FACT!
Bob Hirdes that’s funny. When I stopped at a red light last week and forgot to turn the switch off. The engine restarted like I was cranking it when I took my foot off the break...so how exactly would a battery re crank your truck with out a starter?

Yes, of course it works in sport mode. The engine can only go into a auto stop mode if you come to a complete stop with your foot on the break. If you drive in the range selection mode the engine can not go into auto stop mode.
rgman2858 Range Selection mode is when you put the gear selector to low and you can manually shift up or down the gears. Only in drive mode can it go into a auto stop when you are at a complete stop with your foot on the brake.
The only 2 thing I dislike about the GM twins is they made the fuel tank smaller and the stereo is weak. I don't hate stop/start, I hate cylinder deactivation.
