Chevrolet all day but if I got a good deal on a gmc I would go for it, bottom line I’m a gm guy cause they put out the best most dependable trucks out there.
6.2 has always been a small block. GM hasn’t used a big block in a half ton truck since the 454SS trucks from 1990-1993. Also you can get a 6.2 with the 10 speed in an LTZ. I seen one on a local lot.
I've always liked the GMC Denali line over any "appearance" packages Chevy comes up with. Also have always liked the additional capability or options GMC has. For example, the 3.0 DURAMAX is going to be available in all GMC Sierra trim levels unlike Chevy. So, for me, GMC all the way!!!
Actually for 2019 the Denali doesn't have magnetic ride anymore. It got switched out for Adaptive Ride Control (ARC), it no longer uses magnetic fluid. It's similar in function, but works in a different way.
@@anthonymacneil2279 Yes, I work for used vehicle sales, and Denali trim gets 2 times more demand request than High Country. I personally like the 2015 Denali and down. My personal daily driver is the 2015 Denali Duramax. If I had a choice I would pick the Silverado for that year model. The 2019 Denali is starting to look like the Nissan Titans. 😮😮
Same truck... they come down the line right next to each other...only difference is more chrome on a GMC and the fancy folding tailgate and fancy doodads in the interior... otherwise drive train, frame, motor , transmission .. identical .... I have been in the flint assembly multiple times...comparing the 2 is like comparing apples to apples...
Saving up to buy me a good used Denali. Just love this truck to pieces. So many options, packages & creatures of comfort, I'll never drive another "normal" vehicle again!!
When i bought my truck last year.. I looked at them all... I didn't want to look at chevy or gmc, very much a Toyota guy. After test driving everything, i stopped by gmc, that tailgate did not impress me... Surprisingly, my last stop was chevy. I walked non rhe lot and was surprised when I saw the Silverado i bought.. yep, bought. I liked it. Looks better than gmc. The package and price was great. If I had to do it again, I will probably get a 2500 /250. Ford or Chevy not sure yet. I test drove a ford 250 and I really liked it. I just completed a road trip where I put over 5,000 miles on my truck. A Silverado did exceptionally well and I'm impressed. I don't trust American vehicles, but they're winning me over at least.
tough call. i picked a silverado myself simply because of the deal on year end clearance with a good medley of options. Also, I like the painted front grille compared to all chrome. I had a Nissan Titan and eventually blacked out the grill and it looked sooooooo much nicer w/o chrome.
As already has been mentioned the 6.2 is available on the LTZ/SLT trim levels but by not making it an option on the LT/SLE trim its affectively a $10,000+ option meanwhile you can option a single cab long bed F150 with the 3.5 eco boost . . . come on GM
I bought the 2021 high country a week ago. Freaking amazing truck not to mention the duramax 6.6 Thats right 6.6. It has absolutely everything the Denali as and more.
Magnetic ride is a game changer, was even better across rough fields than AT4 with Ranchos. Magnetic ride is adjustable for 19/20 and notably better than a 2018!
Like the GMC compared to the Chevy. What were they thinking when the High Country changed its front end and fender design into a mess? Going to get my first GMC instead of a Chevy.

There are at least 3 differences you didn't mention. As far as interior luxury differences there is real wood and aluminum trim in the Denali instead of the plastic in the High Country. And the Denali has the Adaptive Ride Control suspension that the High Country doesn't offer. The power-up tailgate on the High Country may be more important to luxury truck buyers than the Multipro tailgate though. Questions: 1) Is the gauge lighting still red in the GMC? 2) Does the Sierra have the aerodynamic wind curtain feature hidden beside its fog lamps that are obvious on the Silverado?
How come you stopped doing videos with the new truck models at this dealership i liked the content and seeing yours and everyone's comments on the new truck bodies and stuff
The tailgate is my favorite part so far of my slt gmc. I had the last two body styles, I actually prefer the looks of the 14-18. I’d still have my 12 slt with old school tech though if a druggie didn’t total it
The Silverado hc with the 20 inch wheels comes only with offroad tires. That's another difference between the two. The hc can still have all the offroad gear while the Denali is strictly built for paved roads. But like he said the AT4 is about 90% of the Denali, but also has offroad tires and has a lift so I guess options are plentiful for the consumer.
Two questions...is the two tone interior offered in all exterior colors or just the havana?...and the back glass does it come with the option for a solid back glass?
