Something I keep in my kit is an eye dropper bottle with white vinegar in it. Put it on the bee stings right away and it helps to neutralize them. Give it a try I think you'll find it works quite well. I like your idea of the Gatorade bottle tops on your oil and gas can.

I’ve used the Grizzly triple scabbard for a few years, it’s decent and well built, only real gripe is if I bounce around or take a tumble id sometimes lose a wedge…. And you can’t really stick double taper wedges in it, the bigger 4 wedge pouches look like the ticket tho 👍 I also have their axe scabbard, I’ve beaten the hell out of it and it still holds its shape, I actually find it a fair bit easier to get my axe in and out than on my fancy weaver axe pouch…. You mentioned "Stro's", I'm assuming you mean Gransfors Bruks Stroax axes. Put them in your gun safe! They have become collectors items. The last 5 lb. Stroax that I saw on Ebay went for $767! I have several of them. Think I paid around $40 for them back in the late 70's, early 80's. They have now become this old fallers retirement plan. LOL Oh, and we have found that if you repeatedly swish Jim Beam whiskey around the inside of your mouth and then swallow it, after a while you barely even notice the yellow jacket stings. Also, if you need attention in a crowded hospital emergency room and don't want to wait around, tell them you got stung on your tongue- you'll get in really fast! I know. It happened to me once. Learned this the hard way too. We were packing in in the dark on a hoot owl day and I stopped to free up some coffee. Yep, you guessed it. Right on the end of "Mr. Happy". Great place for anyone that is interested in this type of stuff.🤟🏻🇺🇸
also, just wondering if you have a bar and chain oil you prefer, especially when you know you're going to be using it for several days all day. I've picked up on a couple of great cutting tips that I hadn't seen before on your channel. One thing, also, I noticed when I was looking at the Stihl 500 is their website shows it only goes up to a 25" with a 0.063 gauge with a 3/8". I have a 261c that came with a .325 18" bar and chain and last fall upgraded to a 20" 0.063/3/8" bar and chain. I'm much happier with the 20" by far. I got to looking at the 500 after seeing you use a 36" in it, but the Stihl website only offers a 25" bar and chain with it. It was the only 500 I saw on their site. I was wondering if maybe it's a different model or if I'm missing something? Thanks for sharing the knowledge!

Awesome video guys. Is there any particular/preferred Model of McDonald full brim aluminum 6 point suspension helmet to get ??
McDonald made the 6 points early on thinking 40’s to 60’s
Sometimes they would stamp the size inside with a S M or L
The 4 point McDonald’s came out after that they are great too
They have a taller center and sit higher but still a great hat and new liners are easy to find on line 👌
Hope that helps you out picking one
@@westcoastsaw1368 truly appreciate the info. You guys mentioned your 6 point suspension keeps helmet low which is next to impossible to find with modern helmets making ya look like you’re wearing a 10 gallon hat
@@FYMM69 agreed. Maybe just cosmetic, but I can't stand a high ass hat upon my head
@@cameronb76 got your system Gordie. Nice stuff bud. Now to find the right colour to paint it because aluminium in the mirror don’t work haha
Hey! I’m stoked your still using that ratchet scrench! That’s so cool to see! Thanks for the video bud. Good to see everything’s going well. I’m gonna have to order that wedge pouch. 👌
Hell yes that wrench has been all over with me I don’t let it leave my sites 🤣thank you again buddy
Do those blue madsens wedges stack well like the K&H ones?
G'day WCS, is that middle size holder suitable for aluminium wedges ? I only use a single plastic wedge for Bucking and two aluminium wedges 12 inch for felling thanks 👍.
You need to talk to Kurt Sills at Blue Alpha Gear about getting some proper dual belt rigs. They're pistol rigs but a collab would be great for fallers.
Nice, really fun to watch! Do you know that Säter axes were made in Sweden? I've got a bunch of them, use a few when I fall aswell. Cheers from Sweden
Thanks for sharing your setup! Carry some meat tenderizer for bee stings.
Got to love getting those hulk hands at the end.
Grizzly Peak axe scabbards are great.
I like the gas can set up with the split tank! Yeah, too bad they don't make anything like that anymore.
They also sell them hard hats at “The Work Wear Place” in Issaquah right off of Gilman Boulevard by Rite Aid full brim and half brim aluminum and carbon fiber for all you local Washington people great family owned store they sell damn near any high viz you could want including rain gear boots and so on! Great place for anyone that is interested in this type of stuff.🤟🏻🇺🇸
Come to Canada, combo cans are available everywear!
Hey Gordy, what size are the bottles you use for the piggys
Depends on which saw. Fat Gatorade & the gas station minutemade bottles are perfect for an ms660.
also, just wondering if you have a bar and chain oil you prefer, especially when you know you're going to be using it for several days all day.
Those 500i saws are the real deal! The 462 never caught on like the 500i did!
Hell yea I will always tune in love all your vids man
Hornets are not nice, and they don't give up easy.. glad you didn't get it too bad
Keep up the good work!
I like the products and I like the info! Keep doing what your doing!
hey Gordy where did you get your red beard saws hoodies that's a very nice hoodie
Great to see you on TH-cam Gordy!
Thanks Gordy. Appreciate it.
Where exactly is this cut? It's not a familiar view of Rainier for me.
And I love the axe and wedge scabbords I got from you recently, thanks.
Above Mineral Lake
Amazing video Gordy😎
Great showcase about the setup
And nice show of the diffrent wedge holders
This video will help me alot on my way and probarly alot of others
Ps when you get stung by bees/hornets
take some Antihistamine right after your stung it will reduce the swelling itching ect alot
My small tip to you 😇😁
Kudos and kind regards,
Johan
Hey man, you should do a walk through of that Cummins swapped square body
Do U like the aftermarket air filters better than the OEM Stihl 500 set up?
Who builds your saws? I have one I want to have ported. Also I like that last part showing the wedge pouches.
