I've found that I get a great shave with my Leaf razor. I use the bottom and middle slots for my blades. If you're just starting out with this razor, start with the top and middle slots until you get used to it.
I cant give a direct comparison but if I remember right it does not have a moving head where the leaf does and from my experience its just way harder to keep the correct angles when shaving your head so you end up having to do multiple passes. for this reason I think leaf probably had a hand up on them.
I’ve been using the Leaf for head shaves for 3 years and although I regularly use a Rockwell 6S, the Leaf is the one razor I would recommend to anyone. I’m one of the lucky 25 people in the world who have a fully CNC’d stainless steel version of the Leaf, if that tells you how much of a fan I am. Would love to see you use it more and give some more updates on your progress. Happy shaves 👍
@Graymage69420 hey look through my head shave playlist I ha e a video that compares all head razors. I'd give the link but currently on my phone so not too easy. I also have reviews of all the razors individuals.
@zeuskhan91 it may look like I was being aggressive bit I assure you I was not. I may try the other blades though anyway. thabks for the recommendation
I've been using the Mach 5 Gilette for a while now and I get anywhere from 5-20 shaves out of 1 cartridge, always a very smooth and comfortable also super close shave. I've been wanting to try the leaf for a while it's just money has been tight with my health issues but I'll eventually get my hands on one.
I really wanted to like the leaf but after much research, I have decided to narrow it down between the head blade Moto and the defender. I have a safety razor but lathering up twice just doesn’t fit the bill for me at this time.
what was it about the leaf that you didnt like in your research? I did not have to lather up twice when using the leaf to shave my head. I usualy dont need to when i use a saftey on my face either.
@@30DayReviews I find that most people who use safety razors tend to shave twice. Of course this is not true of all people. I saw some very good reviews on the defender razor and I have been experimenting with the head blade Moto. I own a safety razor and would only buy something like the leaf if I found that I was successful with it while shaving my head. So far it is not a very good shave even on my neck. Maybe I just need more practice. I appreciate your reviews.
I think a part of why people that shave with safety razors have to go back over there head is because safety razors dont have a moving head and its really hard to keep the same angle on a safety razor to get the perfect shave everywhere. I do believe that leaf has a warrantee that if you dont like it up to a certain amount of time that you can return it no questions asked, may be something worth looking into for yourself.

Probably a very old question... can we get your top three double edged safety razor preferences?

Thanks for sharing! why do you skip the top blade?
@@30DayReviews found I don't need the top slot. Also if you break a normal blade I only need one blade.
thats interesting that a broken blade lets you do with one. i would think you could probably get it done with one regular blade in that case as well.
I like the leafs a lot, I use to shave much quicker then I should & that’s where I discovered the mistakes lye
Yea shaving with the leaf is a much slower possess then with my other razors thats a fact. but its hard to beat a 39 second shave lol

Does Leaf win over Defender for idiot proof head shave?

that version is a good looking one for sure congrats on having one.
Been shaving my head almost 20 years & have tried almost every type of razor. I find the good old Mach 3 is the best for me. Either disposable or cart
yea i know that the mach 3 is a popular one for head shavers that use a standerd razor.
How does the halftime razor compare to the Headblade, if you’ve used it?

Daym you're way too aggressive with the Leaf lol. Try Astra or Feather blades.

I think you will like it. I can get about the same form the half time razor
