- Nothing more exciting than the first session in a new system, and that is what I went out to do this day. Although not massive in size, they made up for it in numbers and stunning markings and colourations! Enjoy!
The prolure clone prawn is my favourite. Just been my go to. Caught river GT, Jewish , Flathead, Bream. Still haven't got a jack yet though. Need to get out on the yak and fish some structure. 🤙🤙🐟🐟
Cool little zone! Those pro lure prawns are smick 👌 good to see ya again brother 🤙🎣
Cheers mate! Yea although no massive ones this day, I’m sure the bigger ones aren’t too far away! Like where is their mother?!?
Yea those prawns are amazing. Super realistic
@@dang.fishing haha definitely mate. There good little zones to get out of this wind we have had to! I got the next two days off and bought another kayak (3 now) haha so with this wind around I'll be doing the same 🤙
Good stuff! Thinking about having a crack at some jack!
You definetly should! They can do your head in some days but are so worth it
Sick vid mate 🤙
👌
Great stuff mate, I liked that prawn, I should get a couple for next time 😉 you work that splash prawn way slower than me, maybe I should try to slow down a bit…
The clone prawns are super realistic! Slowly becoming one of my confidence baits!
And yea this particular morning I told myself to slow down heaps. I was caught up in earlier sessions not giving it enough time in the zones!
❤❤
Eels travel to the salt water to spawn
Well there you go!
That they do yes...they grow & head to salt..migrate.
Planning to get a mmd splash prawn 70mm soon, what pound leader do you use for them?
Around 10-20 depending on what I’m targeting
@@dang.fishingcheers mate, just planning to throw it around the Gold Coast land based and do not wanna lose the lure
What was the setup
Awesome video
Mentioned it all at the end of the vid! But basically a 3-5 kg rod with a 2.5k reel and between 10-18lb line
Pretty unnerving to see those hobo meth tents up little creeks hey. I've seen a few of them up some little creeks and they always creek me out.
Can be sometimes! Spoke to some locals and apparently it’s home to a local aboriginal who is well known in the area. Looked abandoned when I paddled past but who knows. Apparently super friendly and has chats to everyone in the area
@@dang.fishing good to know, thanks.
Nothing compared to my 3 meter flatty
These are big flatty snacks
