Thanks mate, yea Sharks have been thick over summer, the most I have ever seen, not entirely sure why. Yea I’m just going to be myself and share some tips while I’m fishing 👌
Hey James … great videos 😊 … great sounder too.. what are your thoughts on the live scope technology.. I have a Lowrance 9” .. fitted the live scope but it’s more trouble than it’s worth I think .. I maybe I persevere? Steep learning curve.. cheers .. congrats on the 3rd place in video comp .. love the bass .. Steve
James I think we both know what those fish could have been. I hate to say it but they could have been gold with whiskers. They have a very distinct fight, with that massive unstoppable run in the beginning. Also, you’ve seen them caught first hand recently. Haha anyway sick vid as per usual, please get these to us as often as you can.
Some big threadys up that way mate they prefer prawns over most other baits when ya hook one they almost spool ya on first run if ya don’t have gear to turn their heads they go hard nice jack 👌🇦🇺
I’ve been lucky got 2 in all years I’ve lived both well over meter one weigh 11 kg 115cm they school up on that shallow corner at mouth 2nd lake just before they spawn in jan feb I think ?.. I think they all live in lake cooroiba feeding in shallow warm water scoffing prawns all day 😜good luck to anybody trying finding them in that lake 😜but your prawn lure should fire em up I reckon as they prefer them over most other offerings 🤙🇦🇺😎
From Experience on the outer reef, if the prop or motor is painted white. Sharks will smash anything white or yellow when they are in a feeding mode. ( that also includes snorkeling or diving fins) when spearing
@@holtproductionsfish Yeah but at least there are still fish around. Where I am its around 1 fish per 30 hours of fishing! Im heading over to SEQ in a few months though and it sure looks like there are a lot more fish around there!!
Living the dream. Catching unreal fish on your own lures . Doesn’t get much better

Good video mate 🔥
Cheers mate! 👊
Had a great white grab onto my electric motor last year and wouldn’t let it go
Hey mate, just curious what reels you use on your light rods? Thanks.
Great vid Holty, you sure get some good fish in the area. Im surprised by how many sharks are lurking in the river, are those bull sharks?
Thanks mate! Yea they are Bull Sharks, feels like they are outweighing fish numbers some days 🤦♂️
@@holtproductionsfish Yeah but at least there are still fish around. Where I am its around 1 fish per 30 hours of fishing! Im heading over to SEQ in a few months though and it sure looks like there are a lot more fish around there!!
@@ArbyCreations You can hope so lol.
What model rod and brand do you use? cheers great vid
What fish sounder are you running on your boat?
Hey mate, Humminbird Solix gen 3, 10” at the console and 15” up the front
As a catch and release fisherman sharks piss me off.
me being 14 and my first jack was 59 cm
Hey mate, I have asked before, what is the rod that you use?
Hey mate, I’m using a few different rods through out the video, Miller rod (light rods) Grub Freak, Daiwa Gekkabajin, (heavy rod) Daiwa Battler
What areas are you fishing in mate ?
What sort of weight line/leader/rod do you call light?
The light set up in this video is a 1-2kg rod, 6lb braid and 10lb leader
Those sharks are frustrating
Yep 100% it’s been hard to land anything or size, last couple of sessions the water has cooled down and they don’t seem to be as savage
bull sharks endangered my ass
Hahaha, if they ever invaded us each human would have to fight 40 Bull Sharks, I’m convinced of it 😂
