Err... this is Huun-huur-Tuu, a group from Tuva - not Mongolia. They often perform this song, titled "Prayer". In this particular case, they perform jointly with the Bulgarian women's choir. I have watched them perform live on three separate occasions. A completely awesome group of musicians.

His name is Temujin, the blacksmith. And he did forge the mongols from a nomadic race of internal squabbling to a race of conquerors and kings. I respect the Great Khan not because he was the greatest conqueror who ever lived, but a man inspite of such acute adversities still became the man he became. On his dying bed, he was happy coz he was convinced that his sons and grandsons will have good food. Such was the humility of the Great Khan.

This is not Mongolian. The group is called Huun Huur Tu. They are from Tuva (Tyva), since 1944 it is the subject of Russian Federation. Song is sung in Tuvan language which belongs to Turkic language group. This song is from their album Early Music (Lachrymae Antiquae). It was recorded in 1997 with Bulgarian State Television Female Vocal Choir Angelite which they recorded in 1997. Amazing belending of throat singing and traditional Bulgarian song!
