I am 76, near death and to me this great song is the song of life, with it's highs, it lows and it's continuing grace. I have great sympathy for our native brothers and sister. There is a great line from the movie Dog Solders. What happened to the American Indian was inevitable. The way it happen was unconscionable. A lesson on how not to treat our fellow journeymen in life.

This makes me feel like i can do so much more with my life. It also makes me feel like crying. The hard times have tested me and ive survived, for this i should push harder. I dont want to settle, stagnation is unacceptable. I can, i will be better. For my wife, my kids, myself, and for my parents. For all those before me who paved the way and suffered. I must be a better role model for my sons. Good isnt good enough. Keep challenging, improving, pushing. this is not the end....
Saw this in a big theater and it was so loud you felt it through your whole body and you could hear the leaves moving in quiet parts. Everything about this movie has stuck with me all these years later.
Yes I know! The final scene before leaving the Huron encampment; even Duncan who, arrogant as he was, cements his role as an honorary British officer through the ultimate sacrifice. My God! I first saw this movie as a child, it remains one of my favourite movies (and pieces of music), but it hits so differently as an adult when you're in a relationship, the hope of having children some day and likewise, a deep awareness of consequences, of past and present choices and their effect on the present and future of oneself and those around/closest to us, as well as the experience of losing loved ones. It forces you to reflect on your own life. Such a deep, powerful movie.
One of my favorite movies and definitely the best soundtrack of all time. I feel like this song has honor and bravery, something society lacks nowadays, every day it's getting crazier and people are forgetting their ways. The old days are gone but not definitely not forgotten
That constant beating is the Native American undercurrent that drives the music. It's a melding of two cultures trying to make sense of the chaos around them. 😢
Back in the 1990's I was in the military and we were dropped in the woods for several weeks. A four man squad we patrolled sleeping only four hours, night time was the worse. After it was over and we returned home I saw the movie. It was very eerie I could almost see and feel myself running with them in the woods.
I saw this years ago. When I saw it recently, it broke me heart. The scene where they kissed for the first time rattled me emotionally and I cried intensely. I’m a 72 year old woman and that scene opened my eyes to my age and the fact that life’s beautiful moments fade and leave us and we don’t know it. I will never experience that beauty again.
I'm Pacific-Islander, I have no connection to the bagpipes and/or this music in general. BUT it's so powerful, I remember hearing this music and it gave me determination to push through high school with good grades...and it worked. Man. I was in high school when this move came out. I immediately went out and bought the soundtrack and listened to it every night when I’d go to bed. I’d play this song like three times before I’d let it continue. Not too often you get a great movie AND a great soundtrack. Absolutely love it still.
Beautiful, sweeping, emotional, powerful. This is one of the greatest soundtracks in movie history, it still brings this intense emotion to me after all these years.
I work in the sea as merchant mariners, there are times that I find my self in the middle of hard engine maintenance, lack of sleep, working in a 50degree Celsius engine room temperature, full of sweat and oil. It helps a lot when I play this song in my mind while under pressure.

Wes Studi is so underrated. Just want to say that. And that last scene, when Alice... A friend really got me to appreciate how incredible that scene is, with the main focus having been on Hawkeye and Cora, and then you had Alice and Uncas always there in the background. Heart-breaking but amazing cinema.
One of the greatest sound tracks that I've heard. I get very emotional listening to it and the tears just flow. It makes me feel so sad about all the hatred and evil in this world.
My 9th great grandfather KNEW Uncas. He landed at Saybrook in 1626. He helped fought at Mystic Fort. He was a founder of Norwich. He's buried in Post and Gager Cemetery. His 8 children children married half of Norwich's first born children. Which is how my 8th great grandpa married William Bradford's granddaughter. So I'm also a Mayflower descendant. People watch this movie and think it's ancient history. I've never seen the movie, but I KNOW the history cause I can instantly recite all the ancestors, in order from my dad, back to the the 9rh great grandpa who knew Uncas.. John Courtney Keith, John Elmer, Brainard David, Harrison Reuben, Reuben Harrison, Zebulon, Zebulon, Samuel, Samuel, Richard. Richard fought with Uncas. One of my favorite movies for sure. Such a timeless romance set against the backdrop of the French & Indian war. Daniel Day Lewis is just amazing in everything he does especially Last Of The Mohicans.
I would come home from the clubs to find my dad watching this and I would stay up with him to watch the rest. I miss my dad!!! He crossed over and this movie, song, reminds me of my time with him .Along with many other memories!
This song speaks to soul, it reminds me that my soul is timeless and the love we feel for each other transcends eternity. This is the song that sums up all romantic love, the most passionate two people can feel for each other. Also the most painful it is to loose one another.
Well phrased... I cried heavens, everytime I listened to this timeless and moving sound.. Truly, Love and loyalty transcends all spheres and dimensions of life itself.😢
La gratitude , une reconnaissance et un remerciement envers une personne ou plusieurs, pour leur montrer que se sont des personnes bien et qu'ils font de bonnes choses. Merci aux mohicans!!!
This music has been my soundtrack since 1992 I've lost the account of times I've seen that movie and heard it's music tracks. There's something that touches your soul when you play it.
The promentory is one of the most powerful scene I have seen in a movie, it's dramatic, it is sad, it is terrible but it is also strong against the most ruthless adversity. And the music of Dougie McLean (the gael) beautifully arranged by Trevor Jones is perfection!
one of the few movies that could stir up such deep emotions ,the emotions perfectly pulled forward by the music .i want to cry or fly every time i hear this music...
We snuck in, (yes, sorry, we used to sneak in to see 3 movies at a time back then) I was around 13, and I cried so much. It was a hard lesson. We didn't know what was going on. Why did it hit our little minds like a ton of bricks? I don't know, but this score was playing and I still had chills even after it ended. It was all the feels and I never watched a historical movie the same way again.
I'm making a movie. Used an ear phone with this tune to make me emotional.Worked like a charm. Will never get tired of it. The Metalhawk version is beyond awesome. Thank you!!!
If you're trying to be politically correct, then at least do it right. They are called Natives because of how many diverse tribes there are because of their own splitting off from one another and bloodthirsty ways. Not all, but most.
It's time for all of us Americans to raise up and protect our lands from the corrupt politicians wealthy oligarchs who would destroy the Earth and leave us all at one another's throats as they enrich themselves and drive our nation to ruin
We are in secret. We don’t want money we want nature to be left alone, in the city and the country. We are what’s left and we won’t let it go without a fight. And unfortunately fighting these bastards in the open is suicide so we will do what they do. Sneak and snake around waiting for opportunities to strike. If your a globalist, your fu*ked
I have been looking for this song for years remember watching this movie as a child and fell in love with both but not for the life of me i could have remembered the name glad I found it

I love Irish music as a Scot, but I'm so glad we've got the The Last of Mohicans. Irish music you cant deny, but we've got this and the Corries can't complain. For the record I am not saying we have better music than Irish because I think we don't, impossible to bettter than the Dubliners & Sinead O'Connor - legendary! What I do know is, together, England and Wales don't stand a chance with Irish & Scots together. Slàinte Mhath!
Laszlo, i can understand your pain, not the same, but i´ve been there. Lost my parents not so young but still, my dad at my 25 and my mom at 28. I am only child. so was hard at first.. could even cook or do any chores, spoiled little brat i was. Don't cry, remember with a smile. always.. this music is an hommage, a tribute for the fallen, to make us stronger brother. Greetings from Argentina. Big hug
The native of this so called America, suffered the greatest injustice! A kind and welcoming people who were taken down by us, the so called Christians, committing all the 7 deadly sins! Blessed are those, who lost their lives in an unjust fight and those who carry on the legacy of the ones who came before! Always remembered never forgotten
This beautiful piece of music made me have a realization We may be broken Hurt bruised scared from Horrors But we are still standing May have lost a bit Of my soul in the years of pain But we are still standing Still fighting to survive Fight for good Eff you s*t*n You are already defeated

Thanks our cousins to the west. Lang may yer lum reek
One of my favorite movies for sure. Such a timeless romance set against the backdrop of the French & Indian war. Daniel Day Lewis is just amazing in everything he does especially Last Of The Mohicans.
Там воевали Англичане с Французами .
А индейцев нанимали и одни и другие.
One of my favourite movies too, thanks for commenting
@@Мишаня-й8р😂❤😂😂.
I would come home from the clubs to find my dad watching this and I would stay up with him to watch the rest. I miss my dad!!! He crossed over and this movie, song, reminds me of my time with him .Along with many other memories!
The most haunting musical piece created.
This is one of the greatest soundtracks ever❤👍😎🇹🇹
The Best soundtrack ever created for a movie in my opinion. Its just... Perfect.
One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever created.
Along with Braveheart, the two best films in the history of cinema.
✨✨✨😊

Have a bravehheart music video on my channel!! You can check it out if you would like.
Good song, great picture. Wish excelent 2024 for worl. Keep calm, faith, love. Shalom...
This song speaks to soul, it reminds me that my soul is timeless and the love we feel for each other transcends eternity. This is the song that sums up all romantic love, the most passionate two people can feel for each other. Also the most painful it is to loose one another.
Thank you so much for this comment! Very epic melody, kicks so deep!
Well phrased... I cried heavens, everytime I listened to this timeless and moving sound..
Truly, Love and loyalty transcends all spheres and dimensions of life itself.😢
Brilliant.... wundabar....ich erlebe in der Natur diese Gefühl welch mir dieses Melodienstück gibt
Thank you for your comment and time!
La gratitude , une reconnaissance et un remerciement envers une personne ou plusieurs, pour leur montrer que se sont des personnes bien et qu'ils font de bonnes choses. Merci aux mohicans!!!
Absolutly agree with you Nathalie.
As a child watching the last of mohicans, I new this trac would be timeless.... mid 30's and it still is exactly that.
I get goosebumps all over my body every time I listen to this...
+1
one of the few movies that could stir up such deep emotions ,the emotions perfectly pulled forward by the music .i want to cry or fly every time i hear this music...
Yes!! Thank you very much for commenting and leaving this comment! Really appreciate Marie

Thx for commenting! One of my favorite soundtracks and movie too. Have a happy sunday!!!
One of the best Films, too
❤❤❤❤
We snuck in, (yes, sorry, we used to sneak in to see 3 movies at a time back then) I was around 13, and I cried so much. It was a hard lesson. We didn't know what was going on. Why did it hit our little minds like a ton of bricks? I don't know, but this score was playing and I still had chills even after it ended. It was all the feels and I never watched a historical movie the same way again.
From Scotland amazing 2024😊
I'm making a movie. Used an ear phone with this tune to make me emotional.Worked like a charm. Will never get tired of it. The Metalhawk version is beyond awesome. Thank you!!!
That's really great. So glad it worked for you! Have a great day my friend. 🙌
Das kann ich auch , aber mit liebe
Its definitely time for American Indians to rise up and protect our lands.
😂
We are in secret. We don’t want money we want nature to be left alone, in the city and the country. We are what’s left and we won’t let it go without a fight. And unfortunately fighting these bastards in the open is suicide so we will do what they do. Sneak and snake around waiting for opportunities to strike. If your a globalist, your fu*ked
Round 2?
Loving it!!! I remember watching this movie over and over. Love the soundtrack. Daniel Dey Louis and Madeline Stowe gave great performance. Timeless
*Daniel day Lewis
❤️
I have been looking for this song for years remember watching this movie as a child and fell in love with both but not for the life of me i could have remembered the name glad I found it

Kiedy krew z twoich żył trafi do morza,
Proch z twych kości trafi do ziemi,
Wtedy, być może, przypomnisz sobie,
Że ta ziemia nie należy do Ciebie ,
Ale to Ty należysz do Ziemi.
Wow mind blowing
Et aux poussières d étoiles 😊

A Twoje zycie nie nelezy juz do Ciebie...
Wow! So fucking true
Porque Diego Maradona Boca Juniors e Napoli morte??
I love this music forever, it shows the struggle of the peoples to fight for their freedom
A very good way to look at it.
Slàinte Mhath!
как же мне нравится эта мелодия как и сам бесподобный фильм. Огромный респект создателям данного шедевра!
It makes me cry every time I hear it! Brings back memories of my childhood and my parents! I lost them booth.
Lost my father last year, this is his favourite melody. Thank you for your comment.
I lost them both in a car accident in 2017 .Believe me I feel your pain .May God rest their souls .Best regards .

God bless all Native Americans!
Amen❤
Great movie and one of the best musical scores ever right up there with Chariots of Fire , Evita , Dr.Zhivago and a handful of others.
The Gael. Great music. Something that was shared by late mother over 24yrs ago & still close to my heart.

Really appreciate your comments!! Have a nice day!
Don t forget Gladiator Braveheart and Dances with wolves
This beautiful piece of music made me have a realization
We may be broken
Hurt bruised scared from
Horrors
But we are still standing
May have lost a bit
Of my soul in the years of pain
But we are still standing
Still fighting to survive
Fight for good
Eff you s*t*n
You are already defeated

I just realised that this song was with me since childhood and I consider it as part of my life in some way. epic timeless music, which in itself represents pure history
