People tend to forget that abuse in the church is so normalized bc people care more about their friends than the victims they hurt and abuse. Why are victims silenced or looked at as crazy but more grace is given to the abuser?
Too many times Apologists and Christian pastors who get away with this stuff.

I'm not as bothered by Pastor Robert's actions as I am about the actions the church took in protecting him while neglecting to come to the aid of the child who was hurt. People are going to do bad things (even pastors) but the church should at least reach out to help the victim rather than rushing to support the perpetrator because he is "important."

Corey condemned Christians using swear words with conviction, but offered "understanding" and grace to an identified child molester. This is why people are leaving the church and as you heard a pastor mention, which you mocked, the church is oftentimes, unfortunately NOT a safe space. To not view what this pastor did to this child as a crime, no matter how the statute of limitations has expired, does not take away the fact that this so-called pastor is a true wolf in sheep's clothing.
His behavior has absolutely nothing to do with the sins of others. You yourself know how the penile system works, it punishes according to each individual's crime. Saying "all have sinned" is skirting the issue in an attempt to remove the eyes off of the criminal that is Robert Morris. An absolutely disgusting stance to take on this subject matter as you consider yourself to be a family man and to be honest, it is eye opening and highly concerning. May God protect his flock from deviants.

Nobody leaves God's Church because Jesus said his sheep follow him and don't follows strangers, Jesus said he will lose none that the father gave him, God does lose any sheep.
More importantly, you blamed it on Corey as though he is the Judge, God and the inspired word said the measure of mercy you give others is the mercy he will give you, notice who is talking, God. I don't care if it is Hitler, if you want him to be killed for his crime, that is what you will get because it is the same thing, murdering babies or a proud look is sin and separates you from God. Not having mercy shows pride, you think you are not as bad as the child molester, you think you sins are not as bad, that is mistake, they are and that is what is confession of your sins means, "Lord, I am just like the worst sinner".

What do Islam, Sunni, Shiite, Mormon, Latter Day Saints, Jehovah's Witnesses, Hebrew Israelite, Nation of Islam, Rabbinic Judaism, Prosperity Gospel, and New Progressive Christianity all have in common? LUST! Exemptions for lust, rules accepting lust, even divinity in lust. If you are worried about the deception of Satan one thing that's always present, lust.

    • @hayeschrist1

Because that’s one of the few things that men or women of faith will give in to…our own lustful desires and the enemy knows that. Most Christian men and or men of faith…are not tempted by drugs, alcohol, gambling, greed, etc…we can totally do without those things…but we can’t get away from desires of our bodies. Look through the Bible, many mighty men of God battled with lust- Samson, David, Solomon.

After watching the first video on this subject I wondered if there would be a follow up video. And here it is. You are correct that the problem with the church is LOVE. Also, scripture says they will know us by our love (John 13:35 KJV).
It is clear from his actions that Morris understands Gods love bc God allowed him the opportunity to make things right by telling the full truth and confess his sins. However, Morris’ lies continue to unfold and from all accounts it makes him appear unrepentant.
Bottom line is God can’t be glorified when Morris acts justified in his actions of abuse, lying, and covering up. The woman victim deserves Gods love and protection and His justice. Morris has abused the grace of God and broken the law, and your analysis seems to gloss over that. You don’t spend enough time focusing on the love and restoration the victim needs. This sir is no trivial matter.
All sin is sin and all law breaking is law breaking INDEED, but not all sins/law breaking is punished at the same rate. If you don’t make your bed when your parents tell you, that is the sin of disobedience. That sin is not the same as an adult violating a child. This is why your perspective on this issue is dangerous. You are grouping the disobedient child, a petty criminal, a murderer, a sodomite, and a child molester as all being the same (sinners)-which is CORRECT, BUT they are NOT punished the SAME.
Even the justice system understands that. That’s why the kid who didn’t make his bed isn’t in jail, but on punishment 😂. The petty criminal gets a suspended sentence. The murder gets 25 to life. The sodomite gets the entire month of June to be celebrated (of course I’m being facetious 😊). But you get my point that each are punished at different rates.
Biblically Morris is unqualified to pastor and promoted a false prosperity gospel. Legally, he broken the law and should have been prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law…
But the “loving church” elders covered up his sin….This is an example of loving man more than loving God.
    Grace & peace ✌️.

      @tic8259 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

I agree with you! It baffles me that Christians think we live in some La-La land of God's grace where we can sin, ask for forgiveness, be forgiven by God and not face the repercussions of our sin in the NATURAL/PHYSICAL realm. God can very well use physical/earthly consequences for His means of Justice for our wrongs.
Sin is sin and egregious in the sight of our Holy God, so lusting in your heart and sex out of wedlock are all the same (sinful) to God. But one sin has a greater _physical_ consequence than the other sin! Lusting in your heart can't get you pregnant or an STD!
Since these church scandals have unfolded the past week or so, I see that most of these Christian TH-camrs (and their viewers) are foolishly leaning toward hyper-grace (which is also warned against in the scriptures, Romans 6:1-2). And they refuse to RIGHTLY HANDLE and INTERPRET the Word of God as it applies to these scandals. It's getting to the point where I really question the discernment of the "Church."

I agree with you that grace and mercy should be exercised among us all because we are all susceptible to sin. However those that fall should not look to be reinstate as a church pastor or leader but not reinstating them does not mean mercy and grace has not be extended and given. I wish the restoration of all but for church leaders there are biblical standards and requirements to be held, in order to continue in such position. These are two different things that can not be placed in the same level of a layperson and Not sure if you are making that distinction or not.
All must be given mercy, grace and restoration thru love but not all are required to meet eldership requirements. The layperson and the church leaders are held at different levels.
-As to Robert Morris, that was 35 years ago.....I hope that is enough to say what I think.
-As to Toney Evan, restoration is required but not restoration to his pastoral-ship.
-As to Matt Chandler and TD Jakes, same as Tony Evans
They all are to receive love, mercy and grace but to wish that more be done is beyond my comprehension. Removal of leadership is enough but restoration to the assembly is required.

Paul said how can they believe if they don't hear a preacher and how can one preach unless they are Sent. A true sent Man of GOD will bring the whole counsel of God . Most of these men preach what sells tickets.

    • @PandySearl
      @PandySearl 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

Yes they should change, but it's the work of the Holy Spirit within our heart to bring changes, through opening our eyes to make us aware of the wrongs and we our convicted of our sin by God's Word and His Spirit. You don't change if you're not willing to see or think you're better than someone else when no one is. I don't like seeing anyone hurt, it especially angers me when the person don't seem to have any care of what they do. When first coming online I learned so much from others. I would speak with atheist and some made me feel sad because I can understand so much what they've been through. I've been angry with God, like King David was, but never deny that He is. There are many things I don't like, but it's not for me to say what is wrong because God is the one who said the way things are to be. Just don't always like things the way they are! Pray for God's goodness, but know in this fallen world we are to expect trouble, because man's hearts are wicked and seek to get gain for themselves. The opposite of who we're made to be.
      Micah 6:8
8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly[a] with your God
      One of my favorite verses!

Many on that day will say Lord, Lord have we not prophesied in your name, and in your name cast out demons, but Jesus will say, I never knew you depart from me you who work lawlessness. Not that He doesn't know of them, but they weren't truthfully converted by repentance of the conviction of sin. I hope it helps you! May He bless you!!!

The idea of bringing any sin to light in the church is for restoration thru love- NOT CONDEMNATION, regardless of the sin. The church is to restore and bring back to the assembly. The world is the one that condemns and persecute. This can not be the same attitude of the church, regardless of the sin.

Over 200, 000 children were molested in the Catholic church. These people had to live with damaged, broken souls their entire lives trying to heal while watching these men and women prosper . This sin should have been called out years ago by the priests. God is uncovering us in these season. Sexual sin has hit every mountain on earth-Entertainment, Education, Politics, Religious, etc. There will be a great falling away because young Christians will walk remain.

The problem with what was exposed in Robert Morris's past is that the church doesn't need the details. The church doesn't want the details. They want to know what scarlet letter needs to be branded on him for life. What he did when he was 20 years old to a 12-year-old was wrong. He repented, was delivered, and was forgiven. His marriage was healed and restored. He moved on and was restored to ministry. He repented to his friend and his daughter. My dad did the same thing to me, heavy petting, fondling, and kissing when I was 12-15, just like this victim. When I went to college, my dad asked for my forgiveness. I was born again, and He was not. I knew that God forgave me, and somehow, by Grace, I could forgive my dad.
I never labeled him. When a sinner comes into the church and gets saved, no one says, "That's Joe; he's a thief," Or "This is Mary; she's our Church prostitute." No church would do that knowing their sins are forgiven. But when someone is labeled a pedophile, That is a scarlet letter that is on them for life. Even if Robert never preaches again, he will never lose that label. Thank the Lord that these men in ministry who have built their own little kingdom have had that kingdom torn down. It is the Lord's mercy for them that, in the eyes of Jesus, all the labels will be gone for eternity.
