In 1994 Benny Hinn went to a church in São Paulo, Brazil named RENASCER EM CRISTO and I was playing drums in that service. The church was packed, there were like 4 thousand people there to see him. He was throwing his Blazer into the crowd and from stage I saw hundreds of people were falling to the ground. After his "miracle show" he asked me to go to the middle of the stage alone and then he threw his overcoat at me, the crowd was silent, I didn't fall to the ground at all and I took off his Blaser smiling, then he started saying as an excuse "IT'S THE JOY" and everyone started laughing. I think I was the only one who didn't fall to the ground that day. Thank you Lord!

As a Nigerian, I can confidently state that Benny Hinn, Kenneth Hagin, and Kenneth Copland hold unmatched sway in Christian communities throughout Nigeria. Benny Hinn's teachings and writings have profoundly influenced the theology of many churches here, spanning Catholic, Anglican, and Baptist denominations. Currently, there is a dedicated initiative to raise awareness about the doctrinal issues linked to Benny Hinn, Kenneth Hagin, and Kenneth Copland in Nigeria. I am grateful to Mike Winger and Costi Hinn for bringing this matter to light. I hope that your efforts will bring enough Nigerians and Africans to recognize and turn away from these false theology and doctrine.

I know Costi regrets his involvement but, goodness, I have mad respect for him for walking away from it.
Costi is a perfect example of what Benny Hinn's true repentance should look like (but with the addendum that Benny should never stand on a pulpit again, as clearly he struggles with the temptations such a platform provides)
Costi is like the Apostle Paul and was dramatically brought to faith in Jesus Christ. He repented and turned from all the world offers and that is no small matter. He has embraced the true gospel and has become a faithful servant and reformed theology preacher. He still does not have nor is he seeking the affluent lifestyle and I stead is embracing the true faith.

I saw Benny Hinn once with my Christian club from school (99ish) and even though I wasn’t a strong Christian then I didn’t like the service. I just felt uneasy. He called all the young people out and prayed for the holly spirit and everyone just fell. I did too but because a guy fell on me. It was like a domino effect. I sat up and just prayed for God to cover me from any evil in that place.
Demons knock people over. Definitely not the Holy Spirit. God Bless.

Thank you for this! My mom and several of my coworkers and friends followed Benny and these videos opened their eyes and saved their wallets! We had a bit of a crisis with a friend with chronic pain but she was able to work through it with support from God and friends who love her!

I agree. Today, people are studying the scriptures in its original language context more and more. They’re discovering the true meanings of words, phrases, the intents and the word of the Lord in correct context. It’s an eye opener. It’s work but so work it.

I was healed of Low Thyroid Disease at at a Morris Cerrulo Crusade in Oakland in the 1970s.....I don't remember him taking up any offerings that night...I was a counselor and I prayed for a Spanish speaking lady who was healed, as well..
Wr both got blessed...I believe Jesus stilll heals today, it's just that people like Benny Hinn shouldn't be fleecing God's sheep😮........😮

I love Morris Cerrulo and Morris always took up offerings. There is nothing wrong with taking up offerings. Do you know how much it costs to put on a crusade? The hall, the guest speakers, hotel, food etc. all that take up thousands. Remember men like Morris didn't have free platforms like TH-cam back in the day. Every radio station, magazine, news letter etc. costs a lot of money. Nothing is free. There is absolutely nothing wrong in taking up offerings.

My parents and I help a homeless woman in our neighborhood, she is a Christian, and one day I went to see her and she was in a state of deep prayer and worship, with tears streaming down her face, listening to something on her phone.... And what I overheard on her phone that she was listening to included words like, "sow a seed of $2000, $200," etc for the new year..
I never really asked her what she was listening to or if she did donate to the ministry but I was completely shocked
God is still in the healing business according to His will

In Zambia especially with majority of churches being word of faith, you won't hear an ounce of criticism of him as a false teacher.

My longtime friend that is a Pastor and is from Nigeria, and is now in the states, had dealings with Hinn many years ago. Hinn came to the church he worked at (don’t think my friend was a Pastor yet),,,,Hinn set up a fake healing of a child who was supposed to be blind, but the kid was told to play along.

Costi Hinn’s description of how Benny controls the actions and words of every member of his staff down to the finest detail absolutely boggled our minds! Thank you for this discussion. We pray it will open the hearts and minds of all who will listen.
Mike, I discovered your channel years ago when I was in my mid-20s and going through a massive faith crisis. You (among other Christian channels) really helped me sort out and understand a lot of things I was confused on. I had been raised on a strange mix of false teachings, but also true teachings and I had no idea how to separate what was real from what wasn't. Thank you so much for all you do.
Costi, I don't really know much about you, but the way you talk about your uncle with both truth and compassion brings me comfort in a situation I have with a relative of mine. Different situation of course, as my relative is not a pastor, but he is saying and doing ungodly things in the name of Christ and refuses to look at how he has been hurting people for years.

I had a similar situation with a relative. She preached a version of Christianity that she did not live and it led me away from God for many years before I was able to separate the truth of the gospel from my negative experiences with people. I'll keep you and your relative in my prayers ❤️
In my case it was my mother who raised me and my siblings in a superstitious false belief system that I can't call Christianity even if it included God and Jesus and misunderstood Scripture. It wasn't until my mid 20s when following TBN televangelists that God opened my eyes to start learning the truth and I watched discernment videos that exposed these TBN false teachers. Then I learned what real Christianity is.
My mother is gone now and there was family that refused to attend her funeral because she was so unloving and cruel to them in life. False beliefs create bad fruit.
While I don't follow Benny Hinn or his preaching, I am thankful that he was in ministry when my dad gave his life to Christ. My dad went to a service of his when he was a young man and the power of God hit my dad. My dad's life was changed from that day forward. He ended up meeting my mother and they got married and went on to have all of us (3 kids in total). To this day, we all serve the Lord and building a legacy of serving and following Christ with our children (my parents grandchildren). No one else in my dads family is saved.
A lot of times, it starts with genuine real moves of God and then when the pastor starts to get a power trip the Lord removes His hand and the pastor will try to facilitate the move on his own. I’m so glad your dad was touched by the Lord and it affected your whole family! 🙌🏼

Grandma followed that man along with others and told other relatives that my son was healed when he was not. That means she not only called me a liar, but my son as well. It has caused so much confusion and mistrust. It is a deception, you are right,and it hurts families!!!

This video brought me tears because I remember way back many years when I first saw Benny Hinn on TV and I felt condemned because I dared to doubt the healings this person said he was doing. I remember how scared I felt towards God and wondered if I could ever be saved. I pray the Lord God gives revelation to many that have hurt because of these counterfeit preachers.

I was healed of an ongoing horrible debilitating pain in my lower abdomen by simply praying to Jesus. It was instant. Another time, i was at church, and the pastor said, God is healing shoulder pain right now. I nudged my husband and said, that word is for you. Take it! He shook his head, too shy to raise his hand. I said, well i'll take it then! My shoulder had been in pain for months. I couldnt reach behind my back at all. That afternoon i went for my walk, and remembered the service. I reached my arm all the way behind my back. My arm was perfect. Jesus heals. Jesus heals. Praise Him and give Him Glory!

This was a great conversation to be a part of as a listener. This particular clip went far beyond calling out a false teacher. This conversation also clarified what true repentance looks like, what grace looks like; just so many good things came out of this conversation. I appreciate all four of you men being candid and transparent in all the things you discussed.
Listened to Benny in 1993 while listening to Bible answer man. It became clear to me that he was a fraud. A friend worked for Benny there in Orlando. This guy was a loving Christian. He told me he was praying over the letters that came in, and the guy running the mail room said just open the letters, take out the money, and keep moving. Well, he quit working there.
I've heard this story before. You are corroborating it.
I'm gonna say it again for those who come in trying to defend Hinn and the like: I grew up on this stuff. I found out by God repeatedy spiritually slapping me that I WAS NOT SAVED!!!!!!!!! I HAD NO CLUE🤦♀️ I grew up in the military, so TBN was our constant... Unfortunately ☹️ I grew up in a forced Christian environment. Just awful. I did my best to be good and do Christian stuff. It got me nowhere. And of course there were significant breaks where due to getting absolutely nowhere I would rebel. Then I would try to be good again. I "believed" hard, "cast out demons" everywhere, etc. Just ridiculous. Then unlearning everything has been hard too. Took up precious time! So many decades of confusion 🙄
THIS. IS. WHY. THESE. VIDEOS. ARE. IMPORTANT!!!!!!!! Mike's not hating on people and throwing shade! He's speaking God's truth and hoping people will hear, understand, and come out of the world. Yes, THE WORLD! Look at the fruit of these ministries! People listen to this stuff, then go out in the world telling people to plant seed money, defend bad theology, tell everyone they're going to hell while being rude and obnoxious, blame everyone's sickness, pain, and struggles on lack of faith. Is this the love Jesus said we'd be known by? Because this is the "love" that keeps people away from Christ in droves.

I am a 57 year old woman raised in the charismatic cult and thankfully God absolutely opened my eyes this past December 2023. December 1st. I'll never forget it. The unlearning has been incredibly hard but also incredibly amazing!!

While attending a penticostal church, someone got up on "stage" and announced they were taking signups for a bus ride to a Binny Hinn crusade. I got up immediately and walked out.
I just unsubscribed from all David D Hernandez ministry app and channel. I praise God for the truth that set us free.
I still appreciate David and have learned much from him. In fact, at this point, I find his preaching more helpful than any other in person or online pastor. He does not need to be perfect for me to see Jesus in him and learn from him and be inspired by him.
His teachings are good, his mentor is bad. David dfoes his best to stick to the scriptures.

I've been to his events and it's packed full of biblical teaching and passionate delivery while coming off as mature....
....untill it's time to start praying for people, then the circus begins and I can tell you first hand that there is ANOTHER spirit in operation at his events. The Holy Spirit is summoned but we know from biblical scripture that because the Holy Spirit is a gift, He will not be used as someone's prop or debit card, which is EXACTLY how Diga operates.
He is crafty and sly and if nothing else, base mearly on his associations alone, he should be avoided and disregarded as qualified and credible.

This isn’t the equivalent of a church selling things, and it’s important to get the message out. The message is important enough that it should be literally on things we own. There are plenty of platforms that casually offer merch and aren’t obsessed with money. This is a case of Christian freedom and your fears of potential sin when I don’t know too many biblically sound organizations that have gone off the deep end just for offering t-shirts.

Paul speaks to this specifically in several of his letters.
It is right and good for pastors and those working in ministry to be paid and make an actual good living.
There is zero things wrong with that.
What they are addressing here is a pastors(that term used very loosely) love of money and the excesses of luxury living, and purposeful deceiving people in order to gain more wealth.
I lived in Vancouver when Henry Hinn came to my church, Glad Tidings. We were looking for a pastor. But the church voted for another pastor and Henry subsequently planted another church. I followed and joined that church. Henry taught me so much about reverance and obedience to God. Benny eventually came to visit our church. I was completely repelled by him. Honestly...I disliked him...a lot. He was snide, and mocking, arrogant, abrasive.
Many years later, long after I'd left VCC my daughter was born with disabilities. Costi's dad Henry Hinn went up to Children's Hospital and prayed for my baby. I'll never forget it. I love Henry for it.
I remember Costi as a small child. He was such a little cutie!!
I remember the Hinns were tight. I know how hard it must have been to speak up for what is right when it goes against his uncle.
I remember when Henry came to my church in England , l think way back , he was so funny , he told us that when they moved to Canada l suppose , that they would go kill the ducks on a pond ,to eat , they thought they could because they were short of money and there was this free meat x

I’m so glad I listened to this. I have to admit I was feeling like Mike was being too focused on Benny Hinn. Now I understand where Mike is coming from! All of you were so thoughtful and sensitive with all you said.
It so sad because people like Benny hinn are the reason why people don’t believe God is still actively performing miracles everyday, my sister was purple from lack of proper nutrients or oxygen when she was born. She was practically dead. Everybody from my church prayed for her for days, when she was finally brought back the doctors said it was a miracle she survived but she’ll most likely be mentally handicapped and diabetic for the rest of her life. She just graduated with her bachelors in speech pathology at NAU, is one of the most mentally competent and brilliant people I know, and besides a slight stigmatism in her eyes requiring glasses, has 0 problems. My point is Benny hinn besmirches what the lord did for my sister with his false healings, false prophecies, and stealing from the poor. He can never change how I feel about the lord! That’s set in stone, but he is turning other people from the lord who were maybe on the fence about following Christ or not, who now see Christianity as a fake smoke and mirrors pageant show because of the things he’s done.
Well that’s what I’ve been a bit depressed and distressed about. That how do I know who are the real true healers, prophets and preachers now?
I’ll be glad that people will be protected from fakes but I worry now I won’t know who to trust now 😞

@@Jesus_Resurrection_and_Life you’ll know them by their fruits brother/sister. Ignore the bluster, theatrics, begging for money etc… and really study the individual making extraordinary claims. You’ll be able to tell every time, just like as soon as you dig the slightest bit into Benny hinn’s past, present, and future; he’s clearly a false teacher, false prophet, and not a true follower of Christ. It might be difficult but Jesus anticipated this. The whole Bible has passages on how to recognize false teachers/prophets.
@@christian1648 oh Thankyou so much for your reply, been a bit shipwrecked but trust The Good Shepherd and try to rely on His knowledge, understanding, counsel, words and teachings, yes I’ve always taken His warnings seriously about false teachers yet don’t want to misjudge wrong, worries me a lot. You’re right about looking beyond all the hype, theatrics, my Dad recently described it as chicanery. . . It’s proper manipulation. Thank goodness for The Holy Spirit and we can ask Heavenly Father for wisdom.

I was saved watching Joyce Meyer back in 1998. Then, I went to one of her conferences and felt so uncomfortable with her teaching that I never watched her again. Found a great Southern Baptist church and never looked back.

It is one thing if someone gained wealthy outside church and then became a pastor elder but another thing if the main reason wealth was accumulated was because of the Church.
@@kidscanreadtv6821Solomon was in a different time where he was a leader of an actual nation. No one in the new covenant is this in the sight of God. You can certainly bring a lot of blessings to God even when not wealthy. Literally every disciple and apostle in the New Testament is an example of this. On the flip side, we do not have any example of a disciple or apostle eagerly wanting to be wealthy so he could bless more. Paul could have charged a lot of fees for speaking and teaching. Like so many pastors today do. Yet he does not. It makes no sense why a pastor that leads a 5000 people church lives in a fat house, drives a luxury car, flies first class and eats 5 star meals while a pastor leading a 100 person church does not. Makes zero Biblical sense

I came down with Covid during the pandemic. I got very ill and scared. I listened to Benny Hinn Healing Scriptures throughout the night. The next day I work up good. It was a miracle.

I shared one of your videos with my brother recently, and he was so upset. I remembered my mother, who had a mental illness, taking him to one of Benny's events over 30 years ago. He remembers praying that she would be called up and prayed over, and when she wasn't, he cried to God why.. My brother was about 6 yrs old at the time. This broke my heart 😢
A few years ago, my husband's friend asked him if he knew who Benny Hinn was. He said he did some work at Benny's home, and my husband's friend broke a tile, and he said Benny cursed him out. It seemed unreal to me because I grew up watching Benny. Needless to say, I totally believe it now.

These men just did a whole number in Nigeria; Hinn, Hagin, Copeland, Finney. They redefined the Holy Spirit and his works to their own view and practical application. The entire country has been swallowed up with false prophecy, charismatic chaos which is still prevalent today. But thankful to God for faithful churches in Nigeria still fighting the good fight.

I have tears in my eyes listening to this... I was part of an Evangelical, die-to-self, be in submission, holiness cult for 13 years in my young adulthood... this discussion has opened my eyes up to a whole new aspect of that cult I was unaware of... there are hundreds of us living with C-PTSD because of this cult's abuse and cruelty justified with God's Words and supported by the doctrines they focused on. When I woke up and realized that I had given the best years of my life in service as a missionary, not to God, but to my "Spiritual Head" my heart was absolutely crushed. I lost so much in service and those things can never be restored and I am reconciled to the fact that I will have C-PTSD for the rest of my life. My grief is profound... but the counter balance is that I did find my way out of that cult... and I have found my own soul. My gratitude to God is deep and profound... many have not found their way out and are absolutely shattered now.
So sorry, it takes time to heal all the layers.

All that has ever been needed was to read 2 Kings 5 and the interaction between Elisha, Gehazi, and Naaman. What may be happening now with Benny is a version of what happened to Gehazi. Praying for Benny's eyes to be opened to full repentance. People, please read your Bibles.
@michaelmacdermott6340 This morning, I started this video and paused it to run an errand, as we drove, my young daughter was reading the story of Naaman's healing to me from a children's book. I thought about this very thing with regard to Benny Hinn, and here you have the same thoughts. My husband is named for Naaman the Syrian. I pray for God's righteous judgment so that His name would be truly glorified in Benny.
