Isn’t it terrible that relatives are calling their own family members “odd” as though that has any relevance whatsoever to anything. Lots of “odd” people in the world. Eccentricity isn’t a bad thing.
If you're assuming he's innocent, then of course you're going to see it as terrible, as it doesn't fit what you want to hear. If everyone said he was a great guy, and he wouldn't hurt a fly, and he had lots of friends defending him, you'd surely be using those responses as some point of reference, but since no one has ever said that, you immediately question any negative responses people have given. You're even willing to chalk it up to him being "eccentric". That's essentially the definition of having a predetermined bias. You won't agree that you have a predetermined bias because that's what you say about anyone who believes he's guilty (prior to trial). Bias works both ways, my friend.
CRIMINALLY INSANITY is very different from INSANITY. This monster will never meet the criteria for a Crimanal Insanity plea. He is evil. He has violated every norm of our culture so he's absolutely insane but CRIMINALLY insane? No. NO. EVIL INSANITY.
No way these 4 were his first victims. I don’t see a person like him who obviously aspired to be a killer/serial killer making his first time a quadruple homicide in a house with 6 people in it. I feel that takes the kind of confidence only gained through experience. I think a lot of things are gonna come out about this guy.
I've been saying this exact thing all along. And I feel even stronger about it now. Your first kill is not going to be a knife against 6 people. He gained confidence somehow. If not, then he was on some serious drugs.
If these two women were really family, they wouldn't be speaking out against a relative who has been accused of murder before he has even gone to trail ... at least let him go to trial and if he's found guilty, then they can squawk ... as it is, they are simply looking for attention which doesn't speak well for their personality either.
San Elliott He mentioned that childhood trauma, especially physical and sexual abuse, IMO, is a factor with them as well, which is common sense to me. I do realise that not all children who were abused go on to murder people, yet many do commit crimes and a lot of survivors can end up too far along the other end of the spectrum. 🙁
@@thesummerland6165 Yes! I have OCD, and it's hard not to feel defensive when I hear these "experts" because then people who don't know much about it will associate it with violence.

Imagine their trauma. Besides PTSD, they will live with survivor's guilt. They undoubtedly have driven themselves crazy with self-questioning---Why didn't I hear anything? Why didn't I wake up? Why did I go out drinking? Why wasn't it me instead of them? Plus, when they did wake up, they witnessed a horrific crime scene. They lost four friends all at once. They have been vilified and publicly accused of being involved and being callous. It is trauma upon trauma. They will probably never get over it, but with good support systems they can learn to live with it.
I firmly believe those two living roommates survived, because the killer completely drained himself, killing the other 4 people. I honestly think the killer was completely gassed after such a violent, violent murder of four people.
@@patrickmcgee6917 I think that's a possibility. Most people don't realize the amount of strength and stamina it would take to stab four people to death.

I just saw an exclusive interview with one of Bryan's high school friends. He said the parents are the nicest people in the world and that bryan's upbringing was very normal. He said he stopped being friends with bryan because he was a bully.
Most parents have never been parents before so you can’t expect anyone to be great at it right out of the gate. You making judgments on other people says a lot about you. Somebody with a hidden camera will catch you doing something weird one of these days. It may be me and I’ll end your career.
He really didn't know what kind of people they are or what kind of person Bryan was.Narcissist and psychopaths are known for being wolves in sheep's clothing.
"He said the parents are the nicest people in the world" So many adults seem like the nicest people, then years later it comes out they were abusing children and no one knew. I wouldn't put much weight into what Bryan's former friend said.

@@BigBoogookie Psychologists have the highest suicide rates in equal professions. One) like you wrote, they want to heal themselves, Two) they hear from people who are depressing all day and stories of depression all day, which can be depressing.
One of the weirdest aspects of this is the questionnaire he sent to criminals allegedly for "research." It was requesting a road map for "how to be a serial killer" and get away with it. The ultimate question was how did you feel afterwards? In other words, how will I feel? Apparently these were sent in the Spring or Summer and he used the responses to plot what he was going to do, including victim selection. It's incomprehensible.
I agree 💯. It’s not weird that he did the questionnaire considering his subject area, but the actual questions are weird to me. There was one asking about their getaway from the crime scene, & it just made me feel like he was looking for what they did wrong that got them caught. They really seemed like questions one criminal would ask another in prison. Creepy
The way he writes it he seems to be inviting people to help him how to commit a crime and ways to do this and get away with it, hence people not convicted of a crime can still apply. For someone to be smart he is one dumbass. Now that we know the perp, videos clips of him surfacing show him as odd to me anyway and those eyes like with all killers. I want to know how many responses he got from the questionnaire he submitted on Reddit!!!!!!!!
@@mickeyoshea2035 why are you asking me a question? Looool. The perp they have is a sick mf. He should have the trial and then don't give him anymore time of day the POS.
Extremely odd questions and questionnaire. I'm surprised the uni of Washington criminology graduate professors and advisors didn't review this questionnaire and get alarmed by it. I know grad students and their advisor professors review what they are doing and critique, very strange unless he was not telling them what he was writing etc.
It's an unfortunate stereotype that small-town police are bumbling rustics, inept and easily confused by matters the big-city guys take in stride. Actually, Idaho--mostly made up of small towns--has a low per capita crime rate. Idaho law enforcement has zero tolerance for criminal behavior. Our DAs, filled with our good, small-town common sense, do not catch and release people who are dangers to the public. Who would you, Ms. Banfield, rather have protecting your town: Sheriff Andy Taylor or George Gascón?
It’s becoming real concerning where people think they know how others SHOULD act after a murder or 911 call or a police interview. We all grieve differently to these different situations. Even people who have had the grief tend to be harsh on people who didn’t act how they think they should. It certainly shows a certain ignorance to those who should really know that’s never been the case.
For example, the way the 911 call seems to have gone down the morning after the murders is not that surprising. Very young women, most likely in shock, really unable to process what they have just seen. Likely to be hysterical in a case like this. Rational behavior comes later. At the time the call was made, not so rational.
Some people just do not know better because they havent been in situations where people grief differently. A cop or detective probably has seen several people reacting differently to a death of a family member, a normal person projects his own grieving style onto other people because they havent seen how people react differently. Of course there is a part of ignorance to it but thats how people are...

@@whoswhoo Insisting on brand new cookware when you're just visiting a relative IS a weird thing to do. I knew a "vegetarian" who would eat hot dogs and hamburgers when he was with friends but insisted on having separate vegetarian meals prepared just for him at all family gatherings. It wasn't about the food. It was about getting away with being a liar and controlling the actions of others with his lies. He died of cancer at age 57 anyway. Maybe from eating too many hot dogs when his mom wasn't looking.

I live here in Idaho. This is a safe state to live in. Pisses me off that this guy came from out of state to murder these four children. The last high profile case we had with multiple murders was the Duncan case back in 05. He came from out of state as well.
I personally have a grandson who before age 5 began to exhibit harmful personality traits. He is my step grandson. I said then to my husband that he would be in prison before age 21. He just graduated high school and has been given every opportunity a child could have but continually is in trouble! Shortly after high school he now has charges of sexual force on a young lady from out of state. Two charges from different girls but one dropped the charges. I pray this other young lady stands strong and sees this through to the end. All he ever gets from his dad and grandmother are slaps on the wrist and protection even at the expense of dad’s and grandmas children-grandchildren. When I spoke to my daughter at the birth of her first and only daughter to never leave him alone with my granddaughter at her age of 5 I was completely put out of her life and the lives of the entire family. She is 11 now and her mother finally called me wanting our relationship back. Saying she wish she had listened to me years ago. He has molested all three of his sisters!!!! Starting on my granddaughter shortly after I was put out of her life! At age 5 my heart broke when hearing that! The damage is now done!!! I can’t change what happened to my innocent granddaughters!! I fight with this demon every day! We have to stop enabling our family at ALL COSTS! Now he is molesting young girls outside the family!! I pray he is found guilty and put where he can never harm another young lady!!!! I think this is common and most families it’s denial denial denial. But denial gets nobody anywhere and keeps nobody safe. In fact it destroys everybody within and without anybody that comes in contact will be negatively affected by this broken person. I still love my grandson but I pray he pays for his crimes! These girls will pay for the rest of their lives so should he! Same with any offender !!!! I pray for his soul but for justice here on this earth. These young ones paid with their lives so be it for their killer! Too much brokenness in this world!!

Interesting. In an article posted by NBC, Kohberger is reported as making a Reddit post saying “My name is Bryan, and I am inviting you to participate in a research project that seeks to understand how emotions and psychological traits influence decision-making when committing a crime. In particular, this study seeks to understand the story behind your most recent criminal offense, with an emphasis on your thoughts and feelings throughout your experience.” Makes me wonder if he did his own “experiment” as a motive?
Yeah I saw that creepy Post from Reddit. Bryan really wanted to know if these other Criminals had the same thoughts and feelings that he had. I think he was looking for a Partner in Crime. He probably became friends with one of his little Buddies from the Survey. They have said they were going to study the Papers Bryan wrote in his Criminology Class.
Keep in mind, this man arrested is currently a suspect. Not convicted. If the killer did this just to experience killing another human being, why did he choose to kill those particular victims? Why did he choose to kill so many instead of just killing the most convenient random victim?
Why would you be shocked to the core? The ex-aunts barely knew the guy. He was practically a stranger to them so this has no impact on their lives whatsoever.
An arrest is just first piece of puzzle that will hopefully culminate in a conviction. There is a long way to go and so many things can unfold in next year with this case.
It looks like his nose has been broken before. I wonder if he had a past head injury? Even a concussion can sometime flip a weird switch in peoples brains.
Actually they aren't random. It's quite a fascinating phenomenon. Neuroscientist have seen many examples of this. Maybe he's always been creepy and sick but if family and friends notice that he used to seem normal, then suddenly snapped or changed , that's one cause to look into. Not that it will matter as Idaho does not allow mental issues as a defense
His bio in IG is creepy: "Criminologist studying the absurdity of the human experience. Currently taking a gap year to immerse myself in my field of study.” Immersed himself alright 😶
WTF ??!!!! Bryan posted that on Instagram? Creepy. Sounds like he really hated human beings. So killing the girls would be absolutely nothing to him. It was a Social Experiment gone wrong. Bryan wasn't clever enough by far. He left his DNA at the Crime Scene. He didn't think it through and he didn't clean up after himself. It's easy to fantasize about killing someone. It's much harder to ACTUALLY KILL SOMEONE. Bryan must of forgotten that.

Those food concerns are not concerns at all, and are actually pretty normal. There are literally religions that do the same exact types of things. Just look up kosher eating, because they literally have to have their cookware blessed, and no non kosher foods can touch anything they cook with or eat out of. Not sure how people would call his request strange, because it is actually not strange at all. Would i ever do something like that, no, but do I understand his request for new cookware, yes. I am sure they could find some strange things about the guy, or anybody else, but his cookware request is actually pretty normal. Vegans and vegetarians have request like that, and it is very common. It has gotten so bad that they will not even shop at stores that sell certain products, and have created their own stores. So if his request is strange, then there are millions of others in the country with even stranger request, because lots of people are way worse.

@@jaasynergy8 I agree with everything you have written. Not having the facts of the case is one thing, room for speculation abounds, and freedom of speech is where we can go to town when it comes to evaluating what info we have been given, until more facts are made available. When it comes to the investigation side of any case, we 'know nothing' and that is the way it should be. In my opinion, it is not the right thing to do to be disrespectful to law enforcement based on what we do not know, why things 'are taking so long' etc etc. until we get that information IF we would ever get that information. Conclusions about how law enforcement handled a case, after the fact, can then be discussed and critiqued where critique is due... that kind of freedom of speech is what I would consider 'no need to apologize' but to be critical and judgemental without knowing anything about how law enforcement is going about their business, that to me is wrong and warrants an apology. Apparently these were sent in the Spring or Summer and he used the responses to plot what he was going to do, including victim selection. It's incomprehensible.

Ashleigh should apologize to law enforcement for all of the BS she has spewed over the last 6 weeks...
So hard to watch Ashley! Her questions are crazy
These reporters are idiots.
Some people just do not know better because they havent been in situations where people grief differently. A cop or detective probably has seen several people reacting differently to a death of a family member, a normal person projects his own grieving style onto other people because they havent seen how people react differently. An arrest is just first piece of puzzle that will hopefully culminate in a conviction. There is a long way to go and so many things can unfold in next year with this case.
That’s not a "fetish" 🙄
It looks like his nose has been broken before. I wonder if he had a past head injury? Even a concussion can sometime flip a weird switch in peoples brains.
Yep frontal lobe
Omg these are such random ideas people are expressing.
I noticed his nose is very crooked as though it had previously been broken and not properly fixed.
If he was a Vegan that will explain his brain damage.
His bio in IG is creepy:
"Criminologist studying the absurdity of the human experience. Currently taking a gap year to immerse myself in my field of study.”
Immersed himself alright 😶
Sounds like Dexter.
Sounds like a lost atheist. A stubborn smart a hole that refused to acknowledge our loving creator & had zero moral compassion. Prayers to the family.
Says it all
IG disabled his account hours ago. It's probably a fake account you came across. I do wish I watched the whole video he had posted.. I started watching it but I clicked out thinking it too was a fake acct.
This is so disgusting! Are you putting people on who have positive things to say? People not eating meat does not make them a murderer. You have no credibility to me.
I can’t unsee the crazy in his eyes
Nobody in the family shocked and acted "matter of fact" about the whole thing even though he was mostly normal except for some food concerns... sounds like an entire family of sociopaths to me and one just got loose
There is a strong genetic component to schizotypal disorders
No one is in their right mind without the mind of Jesus Christ
You know nothing!!!
You are NO less guilty than what this person is suspected of being !!!
That’s Right
a self righteous fool being fooled who can only speak foolishness like the rest of the commentators
Man is continuously - wicked and without God in this world

They weren't blood related.
Something wrong is in this family.
Schizophrenia often strikes in the early 20s. It has to be considered.
Well he’s gonna hate prison food
He’s gonna learn the hard way you don’t get special food orders in the big house.
@@GeorgeDubya43 exactly mr president
That prison bologna is such high quality.
Wonder if "Bubba" is vegan?
OCD does NOT make you violent or more likely to hurt people. Some violent people may also have OCD, but that does not mean OCD made them violent.
OCK = killing
Exactly, causation vs. correlation. Like saying herb is a gateway drug when 99% of people have smoked herb but only 1% go on to meth.
@@THRASHMETALFUNRIFFS wow!!! causation, correlation...................YT posters are SO smart, I'm so humbled to be in the presence of people of such high intellect

The autistic “rules” are considered OCD to the public and are more like OCPD. It’s neither OCD or OCPD. Rigid inflexible adherence to self-imposed rules is not uncommon in males with autism. Mass killers are commonly autistic. The public doesnt understand autism or psychopathy.
How can you not be surprised? Ugh!
I have at least two different family members I can think of that I would not be surprised at all if I found out they committed any type of crime, including murder.
@@whimsical_me5135 oh wow! That's sad.
I think having your aunt to buy all new cooking tools due to meat ever being cooked in it seems really odd!! I mean who requires that? If I was vegan I'd provide my own food for myself if I was that obsessed with my vaganism.
Sounds more like he likes to push and bully HIS WAY. But in a passive aggressive way . Using his veganism as a springboard for that behavior , and trying to act innocent about it . You're right.. any one would bring their own food & definitely pots & pans instead of putting a demand like that on somebody .
Vaganism is a love of vaginas. Nothing to do with eating meat.
Unless you're very naughty
@@goudaphillipe4224 and so... you would probably bring your own pots and pans then too. Knowing what you would be walking into... a meat eaters house.
Right? You sure wouldn't ask the homeowner to buy you pots and pans.
Vegans come prepared cuz like you said it's your way of life .. always living it everyday , a philosophy . Geez.. crazy how he didn't mind slaughtering 4 people while they slept and blood probably all over him .
UGH..😪💔
Vegans don't share cookware. The meat leaches into the vegan food. I was vegan for a couple years.
@@goudaphillipe4224my daughter is vegan and she provides her own meal. She does not make demands on her hosts.
This is getting to be ridiculous
I’m tired of people blaming stuff on childhood traumas. If you do something like this you are demonic and evil. Plain and simple.
It's not to take the blame off the criminal for what they did but to try and understand human psychology and what makes people do things and if they can be stopped before they do something bad.
Well, I'm tried of people blaming mental illness on some fake god or devil!! So we're even...
not necessarily. extreme abuse can twist you and snap you mentally into something else
Wouldn’t eat out of pans that cooked meat but slaughtered 4 beautiful humans. That’s F’ed up!
You guys are are becoming ridiculous. My neighbor is saying that he once saw the suspect jogging. He's waiting for your crew for a TV interview.
It's really great they found the bloody elantra
There has to be some evidence in that car. I mean he may have had a tarp over the seat or something like that; but still, he had to be covered in blood top to bottom by the time he left the victim's house.
@@joymcarthur5429 for sure
Yeah,I'm from PA , stuck in VA for past 3 years, and I'm shocked, appalled, that he was in PA. I can't imagine if I knew the murderer, or was a neighbor or a family member. This evil monster is just beyond a normal human
The New York Post in the Past Year great work
His parents were in denial, throw away the key
Any patents would… they were not in it.
@@jacknguyen5677 I agree
He is going to be choking down a lot of meat in the slammer.
I think most prisoners will be repulsed by him. It's a myth that men are raping each other in prison. Too many are willing to have sex. It can happen but most prisoners aren't rapists and the ones who are almost always raped women.
The eyes are the window to the soul. You can see the evil.
No you can't.
@@olive3700 your perception is off. It's okay

VERY TRUE and Olive, yes you can.
Wow this is so rude and intrusive! Do we have a right to slander an entire family?
Time to look at him for any cold cases where ever he travaled to.
There were so many potential suspects that my head hurt.
And look how many of them did it... All that harassment and energy wasted on innocent people. Like a witch hunt.
take a panadol
With aunts like this you don't need enemies
Proof that having a PhD doesn’t mean you’re intelligent 😢
Absolutely
He was just starting a PhD program.
I would add being intelligent (not saying he is) is not indicative of being peaceful (non violent). Or do you mean because he was caught?
I disagree, he is intelligent killer.
He may be intelligent per any standardized test.
Did you read the part when the suspect asked if they arrested anyone else? Did he say that because there IS somebody else like one if the people who answered that questionnaire?? I still can't see him doing it alone. Four people and no screams or anyone hear it?
John Wayne Gacey asked the same thing when he was arrested. I think Bryan likely did this as part of the whole plan. After studying crime and criminals most of his life.
he's probably pretty smart---I think he said it because he is already working on his I am not guilty story
@Marie Smith this. It doesn't make sense at all. I can hear neighbors babies cry from across the street. Forget the 2 survivors for a moment. The 4 victims didn't hear each other?
@Marie Smith also, if this is the guy, I thot pd were pointing to some kind of obsessed stalker early on by talking about how popular the girls were & that the threat wasn't at the school.
it's possible. they were sleeping or just gone to sleep - probably very tired. he knew that - knew they were highly likely very easy kills because he's a gutless pos. the murderer alone knows the details.
Proverbs 4:23
"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."
I don't think any family upbringing is a reason or excuse to kill 4 people.
I'm vegan and I don't want to eat from a pot that had an animal carcass cooking in it. The difference is I don't expect others to cater to me when I'm at their home; I'll just politely decline. This is what the majority of vegans do.
exactly My bf is the same. And he hates killing insects as he walks too. It is quite normal in the vegavveggie commuity there is a spectrum. Just some people have more standards than others. It is not a food fetish either.
food fetish? It's kosher. I was a private chef to a family with a special kosher kitchen, and they kept separate dishes and utensils-one set for dairy, one set for meat, also 2 fridges, sinks and cookware. It's not a fetish smh
Family is relieved they don't have to buy new Pots, Pans and plates.
His eyes are creepy
I don't think you're using the word "fetish" correctly
Not that I care much but Y'all are taking the word of two women divorced from their husband's and the family like they were talking the gospel. Take it with a grain of salt. Just sayin
So, will law enforcement get an apology from some individuals at News Nation for some of the disrespectful things being said about their competence, or are 'we' just going to blow over that? Now would be a good time to apologise... actually, at least 6 weeks ago would have been a good time to have apologised.
@@jaasynergy8 I agree with everything you have written. Please receive this in the positive sense that I am writing my reply, not having a go... however, the same would apply to not express an opinion against law enforcement, who put their lives on the line, daily, without first knowing the facts of what they are doing while they are following the evidence to find the person(s) responsible for a crime. Again, please do not take this reply as 'I am having a go' 🙏🏼
