My great nephew ( his name is Bryan also) killed a man, and when my sister (his grandmother) called to tell me, the very first thing she said was
"Sister, are you close by?, I need you, now".
She would not tell me over the phone. And 20 minutes later, I was at her house and then we were both crying. Knowing we were going to lose him, and for the victims family.
He got life. And 10 days after he was sentenced , my sister just fell over dead.
7 months later our Mother grieved herself to death.
People that kill others, don't know what they do to their families. And the victims family.
May God rest the souls of Ethan, Xana, Kaylee and Maddie. And wrap every family member in His loving arms.

Every little thing this guy ever did in his life now is going to be connected to some personality trait that led to him brutally murdering four people.
People have to remember that psychopaths don't necessarily live insanely bizarre lives.
Every person on this planet is strange to some degree, it doesn't all lead to homicide.

If you're assuming he's innocent, then of course you're going to see it as terrible, as it doesn't fit what you want to hear. If everyone said he was a great guy, and he wouldn't hurt a fly, and he had lots of friends defending him, you'd surely be using those responses as some point of reference, but since no one has ever said that, you immediately question any negative responses people have given. You're even willing to chalk it up to him being "eccentric". That's essentially the definition of having a predetermined bias. You won't agree that you have a predetermined bias because that's what you say about anyone who believes he's guilty (prior to trial). Bias works both ways, my friend.

One of the weirdest aspects of this is the questionnaire he sent to criminals allegedly for "research." It was requesting a road map for "how to be a serial killer" and get away with it. The ultimate question was how did you feel afterwards? In other words, how will I feel? Apparently these were sent in the Spring or Summer and he used the responses to plot what he was going to do, including victim selection. It's incomprehensible.

It’s becoming real concerning where people think they know how others SHOULD act after a murder or 911 call or a police interview. We all grieve differently to these different situations. It certainly shows a certain ignorance to those who should really know that’s never been the case.

He just graduated high school and has been given every opportunity a child could have but continually is in trouble! Shortly after high school he now has charges of sexual force on a young lady from out of state. Two charges from different girls but one dropped the charges. I pray this other young lady stands strong and sees this through to the end. All he ever gets from his dad and grandmother are slaps on the wrist and protection even at the expense of dad’s and grandmas children-grandchildren.
When I spoke to my daughter at the birth of her first and only daughter to never leave him alone with my granddaughter at her age of 5 I was completely put out of her life and the lives of the entire family. She is 11 now and her mother finally called me wanting our relationship back. Saying she wish she had listened to me years ago. He has molested all three of his sisters!!!! Starting on my granddaughter shortly after I was put out of her life! At age 5 my heart broke when hearing that! The damage is now done!!! I can’t change what happened to my innocent granddaughters!! I fight with this demon every day! We have to stop enabling our family at ALL COSTS! Now he is molesting young girls outside the family!! I pray he is found guilty and put where he can never harm another young lady!!!!
I think this is common and most families it’s denial denial denial. But denial gets nobody anywhere and keeps nobody safe. In fact it destroys everybody within and without anybody that comes in contact will be negatively affected by this broken person. I still love my grandson but I pray he pays for his crimes! These girls will pay for the rest of their lives so should he! Same with any offender !!!! I pray for his soul but for justice here on this earth. I am really shocked but relieved that a suspect is apprehended. Honestly seeing that this man is a PhD student, I am stunned. I started a PhD last year in August at Miami, and I can honestly tell you that it's very very tough. You virtually have no time to even think of a vacation or upcoming holidays. Thus to be a PhD student and premeditate murder is unthinkable. This man is just evil evil evil 😈. I can't imagine what his Lecturers must be wondering. Well it's a lesson to us all. You can't tell what's in the heart of man.
