I bought the New Gundam Breaker game when it was on sale off Steam. This game was on my wish list for years and I pulled the trigger when it was $15. To be honest, I was hoping that the game would have been improved after three years. That definitely wasn't the case, this game has A LOT of bad mechanics. Sadly, it's been years and I don't think Bandai Entertainment will give this game an update that is sorely needs. More details in the video! Thanks for watching.

Gundam Breaker 3 is still the best Breaker game and Bandai knows that. I just wish they would port it to PC, instead of having to dust off my ps4 copy every time I want to play it. New Gundam Breaker was built by a completely different team from Breakers 1-3 and it shows how poorly they understood the game. Its the whole reason the Breaker 3 characters are in Gundam Breaker Battlelogue and none of New Gundam Breaker's characters. They have abandoned New Gundam Breaker. We can only hope Breaker 4 will come from that original team.

They are more concerned with capcom ,and their bandai stuff. I hear they are releasing megaman NT warrior games 1-10. Retro I guess brings back nostalgia because games are getting harder?

Thanks for the info! Saw it on sale for 20 bucks on psn and was considering it somewhat, but this made me realize the things I was iffy about are still around, so I'll just go back to GB3 lol
Bandai doesn't even acknowledge New Gundam Breaker in their Gundam Breaker Battlogue short series. They specifically only included GB3 and GB Mobile.
Federation vs Zeon, battle assault 2 and Gundam Breaker 3 will always be some of my favorite gundam games, period.
A shame we don’t get more western game releases like we did in the early 2000s
I like the concept of being able to assemble your own Gunpla if you collect the Gunpla parts I just wished they added even more gundams via new updates like imagine luminous crystal body or perfectibility or any other new gundam coming up and if the game had more variety of game modes it wouldn't be so dead

My take on why this game failed as a Breaker game specifically is because the whole appeal of the Breaker series is build your own custom mobilesuit AND letting it do what you want it to do. In breaker 3, if i piled 16 different funnels onto my suit, i could use all of those funnels. If i strapped a pairt of gebera strights to my mobile suit, they weren't jhust there for show, they were actually usable. If i added so many missles that it would make Heavy Arms blush, i could fire everysingle one of them. THAT is what makes a great breaker game and why 3 is objectively the best.

Gundam breaker 3 was my favorite but this was the next best thing in my opinion. I don’t like how I don’t automatically collect the parts at the end though.
Hope the game becomes even more polished…

It's good when you get over or use to the lock on system I have it on ps4. It's fun but not many people play it.

Gundam Evolution is out now, and whie it is a FUN as hell game, it has plenty of issues. Connections issues, game balance, lack of players in Ranked, monetization.. It is free, so it's worth checking out, I just wouldn't hype it up as a 'Must Play' or anything.
and new Gundam Evolution is dead. why Bandai cant make a good Gundam game? Gundam is so popular. Or is it not as popular as I thought?

It is not better on console. Got it on release for PS4 and it's been in the same state of limbo as the PC version. If you want a great implementation og the formula, get Gundam Breaker 3, it's the game that got me into the series, and well worth the price to import. Its only on PS4 though, so like the video said at the end, play M.A.S.S Builder instead if you're a PC gamer. It's still early access at time of writing, but has plenty of content and gets dev updates every week.

I lost my Super Fumina DLC on PS4 after my old account expired. Was hoping to play again on Steam. I know i can get at least 2 other friends to play. Console is smoother especially on ps5, but I only know one friend who still has it. Recently watched & got hyped on Build Fighters & TRY. It’s sad all the dlc support is gone now too.
Just port gundam VS games on to PC that's all they gotta do

Bought this for $8 because I wanted something after the closure of Gundam Breaker on Mobile. How bad could it be I thought? Man...this game is quick with the motion sickness as the camera just goes all over the place! The AI is also super stupid. Some missions you need to ignore the boss in order to collect more parts but your dumb AI just kills the boss and ends the mission, preventing you from getting the other bonuses. On the bright side, the Gunpla kit bashing portion is super fun like Gundam Breaker 3 and Gundam Breaker Mobile. So yeah, the gameplay is super tedious with horrendous controls. Get it when ever it goes on sale again for 80% off only then.

I understand why this isn't a thing. Money. But I really wish that once you bought a physical copy of the game you would have the digital version as well. Because I would much rather play Gundam Breaker 3 but I have it for PS4 which I gave to my kids. I only play the PS5 now. Oh well.
Another important thing to consider for this game which wasn't mentioned in the video.
For people who doesn't know Gundam Breaker Series:
The customization of Gunpla is satisfying when it comes to visual customization, if this is your thing then you can give it a shot (When the games on sale). The amount of creative things you can do with the mix of parts + the Builder Parts is pretty amazing, and you can look on youtube for ideas of your own.
For people who DO know the Gundam Breaker Series (Especially gundam breaker 3), and for anyone else curious:
The Customization of this game is a HUGE downgrade from the later-entry of the series, and if you were hoping for the huge freedom of gunpla customization from GB3, you'll be SORELY disappointed.
Builder Parts which not only increased gunpla performance but also gave you access to optional weapons like extra sword, funnels, bits, shield bits, guns, cannons and etc IN the gameplay? Is NOT a thing in NGB. All they do is add passive bonuses like extra defense against ranged/increased ranged attack/etc.
EX Skills in NGB is VERY limited in NGB. In GB3 you can "master" all the EX Skills after multiple use and from there you can equip up to 4 freely on your gunpla regardless of parts. In NGB, EX Skills are locked to the part, and you cannot learn it to mix and match skills between gunplas. Meaning if you LOVED the idea of Freedom Gundam using Trans Am? Unless you have a Solar-Reactor part from the 00 series, you're out of luck. Worse, each part has more specific stats on them, which at first seems decent, but this means you could potentially try and make a amazing looking gunpla with sub-par stats, and to make a gunpla of decent stats it'll look far from what your dream gunpla will look like.
And finally, in NGB getting parts is ROUGH compared to GB3. The parts have some kinda RNG on them, where I swear I do NOT get parts from gunpla I fight against on the field which is annoying, and buying gunpla from the store is RIDICULOUSLY more expensive than needed, and you'll be grinding ALOT just to get the parts of a gundam you really really want.
I wish for a good action gundam games on pc, gundam extreme vs would be great, or any gundam musou then gundam breaker 3.
Yet pc do get another sd gundam game which is okay but really? and 2 f2p games. battle operation 2 that like an abandon wasteland, and gundam evolution that lools like overwatch knockoffs (imo f2p is a hard sell with saturated f2p market).
It hurt so much that Gundam are so widely known but yet so hard to get into, even some of the console games are japan only. Bandai is so out of touch, there's absolutely no competition for mecha games on pc right now, arena fighters are successful enough with most of their anime fighters which are releases on pc almost every year with mostly positive respond, the money is on the table. Just put any good catalogue console only gundam released on steam right now.

I would never buy full price I bought it for my ps4 on sell even bought a physical copy for under 20 as well. To give to a friend. But in general there never anyone online to play even in mid 2018 when I was playing.

Also for those who want to buy this game, just don't do it, look for a copy of Gundam Breaker 3 Break Edition Which is a superior game in every sense, And it would be cheaper than paying for, new gundam breaker a game that is disappointing and strange.

Honestly, the targeting is horrid and the A.I. team mates don't help much.The combination of having pieces thrown off of you and having to dump them in a box while the A.I flails and craps itself isn't fun. You can have fun with it if you just turn your brain off but collecting pieces is a pain just to make your dream GUNPLA.

Absolutely dogshit. Targeting is near impossible and even _SLIGHT_ movement from the mouse will switch targets. GB3 at least had a manual aiming mode.
Sigh… I was so disappointed when I heard this game was a huge step back from 3 and seeing it hadn’t changed… kills my hopes for future gunpla videogames
At this point I expect 1 of 3 equally horrible outcomes
1 - they continue to get worse
2 - they never make another one and the franchise ends with this black mark
Or 3 -…. A new much better breaker game is made… but never sees a release outside of Japan, beginning a tragic process where Gundam goes the way of medabots becoming Japan exclusive until it eventually fades from existence
Bandai seems pretty committed to bringing its games to the west. We just got SD Gundam Battle Alliance. Hopefully we can get a new Breaker Game. I imagine it wont be till 2023 or 2024 after Witch From Mercury has aired or at least until its in its 2nd season. Hopefully they dont just stick to the mobile game.
