In my opinion, this is better than DW Gundam gameplay wise. Only downside would be it's in SD form.
Not minding the story - I love this game! I just wished that they would start making gundam games with gameplay similar to Daemon X Machina and Armored core. Imagine if you can fly around with these SD Gundams.
You could try another century's episode R for a bit of that experience ( no SD tho :p)
