I definitely got the seagate firecuda 530 4TB SSD with heatsink for the PS5 it's $479 that's a steal. I upgraded from my 1TB WD Black SN850 SSD with heatsink which the capacity is 2TB only.
They are selling the Firecuda 530 2T no heat sink right now for about $160. Just grabbed one and the elecgear heat sink for $30. Pretty good deal. Not sure why so much cheaper.
Literally says right on the cartridge that the Corsair is Gen 4. As I don’t know much about what any of that even means, I looked at the description on Amazon and it says “High-speed PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 NVMe 1.4 Interface”. I’m assuming the “M.2” is the same as “M Dot Two.” Would love further clarification to help me along with my purchase choice!
You don't really need to know what any of that means, although it's very easy to just search online to find out if you were genuinely curious. All you need to know is if the drive is compatible with the console, which will be easily found by searching online if it doesn't specify that it is in the listing.
M.2 SSDs have been in computers for quite the bit. These small boys pack a bunch of heat in a small package.. You should look for a Gen 4 drive as that will allow you double the transfer speed. The PS5 has Gen4 support so it should be a better purchase choice Make sure the drive you are getting is a M.2 2280 or else it won't fit. Have a nice day
Which one did you get? The one with the heatsink or just the ssd and just bought a separate heatsink? If you bought the SSD only which heatsink did you get?
@@gerricoandres5676 Sadly 4tb ssds did not really have heatsinks built in only recently.manufacturers have revising them to do so I went with the ElecGear PS5 NVMe SSD Heatsink EL-P5C since it was the best heatsink at the time alongside the 4tb WD SN850X not to mention the Airhut Thermal 13W copling pad for a better overall cooling system That being said you have more options now from ssds to heatsinks

It’s been recently reported that there are bogus or counterfeit Samsung 980 Pro’s out on the market, how can one tell the difference between the fake 980 against the real one before it’s purchase.
There isn't any way to tell the difference before purchase. All you can do is run tests when you receive it to make sure the read/write speeds and claimed storage match the box. If they don't, send it back. Counterfeit storage has been a problem for years and can even impact reputable retailers. Keep in mind that if a price seems too good to be true, it definitely is, and try to purchase from somewhere with a decent returns policy.
@@ProfessorChaos2050 counterfeits don't just target one brand, and often the outer shell is official and it's just the memory that is counterfeit. Like I said before, you can't know that you've got what you paid for until you receive it and test it.
