- What would happen if you didn't eat for a week?
By the end of day one without food, your body will have used all its stored glucose for energy.
After two or three days, your body breaks down fatty tissue. The fatty acids created during this process are then used by your muscles as their main source of fuel.
After 7 Days - When all the fatty acid reserves are depleted, the body moves to protein. Depending on the amount of fatty tissue you had, it could take only days to reach this point.
However, most people who are starving will only have a week before their bodies start to break down muscle in order to obtain protein.
While it may help you lose weight, it is not a healthy or sustainable option for long-term weight loss.
Starvation always ends in death...so is it worth it, let us know.

Longest I've done is 4 days just water and coffee. Lost 10 lbs and was able to keep it off for about a month until I went on a drinking/fast food binge. Stopped drinking and have been eating mostly whole food plant based for about a month and have lost almost the same amount eating as much as I want.

@@miguelserrano9079 i lost 5 kg in 2 weeks of eating only some food (just to stay alive) and exercising but i gained the weight back in like 3 months so it's not that effective
To be honest i do think it’s worth it as long you are cautious and don’t overwhelm yourself. After a week of not eating you should slowly start to incorporate all healthy foods and regularly exercise.

I lost 14 pounds in a little over 2 weeks. I didn't eat for the 1st couple of days all i did was sleep and cry. Then I slowly rarely ate and started working out. Depression and sleep probably helped aswell. I felt physically better by miles. When i did eat all i ate was peanut butter jelly sandwich.

Guys, I know it can be tempting to fast or starve yourself to lose weight but trust me, there are PLENTY of ways to lose weight (and that are safer). Such as limiting calories, exercising daily, and eating smaller portions (along with a healthy, balanced meal).
I am 17 and when I was 12 I weight exactly 80lbs and as bad as that already was I wanted to lose even more. I felt suicidal by the time I was 15 and just wanted to end it all or die from starvation. Your body needs that protein and exercise to be a healthy body and starving it will not help with that. I seemed help at 16 and got therapy and by last year I was constantly being checked on and getting the help I needed to recover. Stay strong loves, you got this!.💞
I’m used to eating when I want. I got into a situation and couldn’t/can’t afford food. I start my new job on November 3rd. I haven’t really been eating for the last 3 weeks or so give or take. Maybe a bowl of ramen once every 3 days or so as an appetite suppressant but that’s it. When I had a physical done a month or so ago I was 220. Today I am 193. I’ve wanted to lose weight for a while now so this I feel has been good for me.I think I want to get down to 150. I’m not going to not eat until I get there but when I do start eating again I’m gonna moderate so much better. And I might not even eat every day again. Maybe 3-4 times a week. I think obesity is a bigger problem than starvation. No one in America is really starving to death but heart disease is the number one killer.
I have a question that I really get confused about I’m 21 6 feet exactly and weigh about 214 mostly in my abdomen hips and thighs does not eating break down my fats first like completely before affecting my muscles and protein idk if you’d have the answer but I just don’t wanna lose my muscle simultaneously

I lost my girlfriend due to anorexia, I can say it was an huge pain for me, but the one who suffered the most was her... It’s worth it I went with a week without food, I was always insecure im not skinny and just bloated I was FAT and doing this helped and yes I did get the body image I wanted and after I did I went to eating again but at a sustainable amount
Im gonna do a scary experiment. A pinch of celtic salt in the morning and i dont feel hunger anymore so im gonna go a week with out food just celtic salt and see if i lose any weight or if i die of starvation in my sleep.

This is not safe, I understand people want to lose weight, but if you want to lose weight then workout! There’s no excuse, working out doesn’t cost money, not eating isn’t healthy!

When I stop eating for 2 weeks I lost about 38 pounds I was at 60 pounds now I’m at 22 pounds I twice as skinny I have more energy I can rub faster and sprint faster

@@medicalstudent2183 thank you ,but i'm sorry the bad news is I couldn't keep going I did this for 2 days and actually it was so hard in the middle of the first day I started to feel so hungry but I kept going on at night I was tired and I went to sleep, the second day I woke up hungry too but I kinda used to it but living with my family and seen them eating kinda changed my mind but I didn't after 1 pm I start to feel so tired and I couldn't move my body properly so I ate at 8 pm, it didn't work for me because I was already under weight and I always do diet challenges I'm 43 kg so I couldn't if you are determined to do it you can guys make just trust yourself ;)

well, let's see I need to lose about 50 pounds and my diet right now is pretty good ,very low carbs? My body doesn't seem to wanna burn anything when I was younger. It was no problem doing nothing my body would burn it.. I never tried to starve myself I'd probably lose the weight and then I'd keep it off.. because right now my weight doesn't fluctuate it just stays the same because I'm not burning enough obviously.. so I might try it I'll get back to you

I'm on my fourth day rn. First two days I only drank water and starting yesterday and today I added self made fruit smoothies (mango, strawberry,...), bananas and apples and honestly I feel great.
My girlfriend has just left for China for 5 weeks and I intend to lose my beer belly by the time she gets back because she has been nagging me about it for two years, and has threatened to cease all blow jobs until it's gone. I have just started with a 5-day fast to give my weight loss a boost. I will be taking vitamin supplements and collagen along with 1 cup of coffee in the morning, then flavoured water for the rest of the day. From Friday I will start taking one or two Huel per day and from next week I am going incorporate small portions of healthy proteins such as eggs, fish, and chicken along with plenty of veggies. I will not be adding any artificial carbs to my diet, so no chips, rice, potatoes or bread. And no wine or any suger. I also go to the gym one hour per day and run 5 miles each evening. H

Weight loss
Research ive done for a 12% body fat male | after 1 day: u have less u have less Glycogen in. Your body so u feel tired
Day 2: u feel even more tired . You remain inactive for the vast majority of the day day
Day 3: your body is almost out of glycogen so u stay in bed the whole day the most u can do to not be bored is have a video game or book or board game with you. Hopefully you have plenty of water bc u dehydrate to death more quickly than starving
Day 4: ur body ran out of all glycogen so u start to burn fat which is nice if ur overweight but u arent as u have a healthy amount. To take advantage you wanna workout and look shreeded with under 8% body fat, but if u workout when starving, it will trick ur body into eating its own muscles so u dont. Maybe start eating again then workout in 3 days or so
Day 6: ur organs shrink to conserve energy. Ur digestive system ofc is the first system to shut down. You can have diarrhea which even tho u are drinking as much water as u can still can be very bad for u. Long term starvation can cause brain dmg that may last ur whole life even if you start eating again bc your brain will shrink as well
Day 9: this is when things become leathal; ok ur out of fat sorry ur gonna be a bit to shreeded (by that i mean u lose muscle by your pancrease releasing acids to melt your muscles) (same thing happens with fat but the process is not called the same thing) then the proteins have amino acids and small amounts of glucose to go into the blood stream which benefits the brain but harms everything else. This is also at the expense of ur heart. You will become weak and likely have disrupted heart rhythms or smth with ur heart.
Day 11-12: along with your muscles, your bones also lose density, and your immune system weakens more and more as it goes on as many of your muscles are being repurpoused as an energy source so there isnt enough left over for the sake of other things. Also, the most powerful thing u can do is potentially try to stand up and slowly walk to the kitchen if you decide to save yourself. Unfortunately u decide to be dumb and lose that opportunity by making urself any weaker
Day 14: your muscles and bones are very weak and even lifting your neck off the ground/sofa/bed is hard enough to grab water or a snack (if ur lucky you might have leftovers) or potentially try to roll over, but ur too weak to stand up)
By day 18: even being being Conscious becomes really hard. You barely have any muscle left, your heart has been weakened as well for the sake of your greedy brain xD You fall unconscious and the only way to survive is if some1 finds you and brings you to a hospital. If not you die within like 30 mins to 2 hours.
To save u, day 1 of recovery: you must be hooked up to glucose, oxygen (your heart is too weak to pump it to u) and nutrients)
Day 2 of recovery: you may regain ur consciousness back, and you may be fed peanut butter paste or smth that has nutrients and isnt hard to chew (your teeth may decay due to no calcium). Your protein intake will be low bc ur so weak.
Day 3: your heart will be monitored bc food was reintroduced to you as it was severly weakened from the ordeal, it is not easy for it to pump nutrients. You may eat boiled vegetables or anything easy to chew. You may also drink skim milk (not full fat bc your heart can only pump so much rn),
Day 4: your heart and other organs are monitored and taken care of and you keep that recovery routine and gradually have more protein fat and calcium in ur diet.after a month or so u will return back to normal. You may suffer brain damage for the foreseeable future bc it shrunk to keep you alive if youre unlucky tho.
Only 1 day actually gives you less sleepy
Be skinny and get abs
It's worth it if you always feel insecure about your fat envy and how people your age have amazing bodies except you, especially if you're a girl.
