- Excitement is at a fever pitch for April 8’s history-making solar eclipse. Millions of people are making the trip to see the rare event. In New York, a state of emergency was declared as one million tourists are expected to pour into Niagara Falls to witness the cosmic event. Dan Lange is driving from Minnesota to Texas with his son and pet parrot just to see the solar eclipse. Inside Edition asked AAA’s Alec Slatky for some eclipse driving tips.

I can't believe I fell for the headline. I was actually looking for legit driving tips during the eclipse. Instead, I got, "don't wear the glasses while driving" and, "look out for morons walking around like zombies during the eclipse"!!!
Same. I’m not in path of totality but at 95% and I was looking for info such as should I be driving at all during that time. There’s going to be a reflection on car windows even if I’m not looking at it. And in my area, we have to wear the eclipse glasses the entire time if we’re watching it. I’m staying in.

Heres a tip if your driving during the eclipse
Dont look at the sun, keep eyes on the road.
Simple, do what you should be normally doing.
Sad part is, some aren't gonna follow those directions.
You know damn well some people don't have common sense while driving.

The same thing came to my mind early today. The number of people going to see the eclipse will definitely top her concert attendance numbers. I have nothing against Taylor Swift, but honestly don't understand how some of her fans can be so passionate about her without even having one in person interaction with her. Survival Guide for a less than 10 min eclipse? What? No one has ever driven in the dark before? Is the moon going to do a back flip into the earth?? Here’s a tip: don’t freaking stop on the highway to watch it!!! Don’t go to the path of totality areas. Ugh…this has been hyped up so bad…to keep us oblivious to what’s really happening in our country.

Seriously, why is everyone making such a HUGE deal about this eclipse? How is different from others? There was one in 2017 that was just like “oh yeah there’s gonna be another eclipse”.
