Hi! Haha thanks for this comment. I have had SUCH an unwanted hiatus here from TH-cam but am so glad to finally be back in the swing of posting my videos. I'm posting another one today at noon :)
Thank you, this was a wonderful and informative overview. Thank you even more for allowing and encouraging people, mostly women, to be their age and the best they can be at that age, rather than altering their natural beauty to meet a weird societal myth.
I wish I could say that I got results from argeriline. But I didn't. If anything, it seemed to dry out my skin and make the lones around my eyes more pronounced. I've been getting better results from the Ordinary's copper peptides. Glad to see you back, Dr. Locke. Missed you. 😊
What happened to Paul‘s choice? I’m 71. I’ve been using this only for three weeks my wrinkles I am I swear or gone. This is a miracle solution I’ll never go stop using this twice a day!
I actually drink often during the week chicken bone broth. Which is known to be very concentrated in collagen, a lot of vitamins and minerals of course. I sometimes homemade it or I go to my local "natural" grocery store that has that very similar and short ingredient list as my homemade version. It is so tasty that serve myself a mug of it at night or obviously incorporate it in my cooking recipes. But of course supplements are more quick and easy so I understand why people prefer this than broth 😊
Question on the gua sha tool, will a dollar tree jade roller/ guasha tool there work the same?? I'm just on budget here 😅. I used to get botox regularly but now that my life style changed and mostly studies on botox that can cause "muscle atrophy" leaned me away a bit, and cost of course!! Please please do a skincare at DT for us really going through budget! 😊😊. I love your Chanel! Thank you for this video!!!!
Great video! I think the patches are not very budget friendly. Personally I rather buy the ingredients and then I can put them on whenever I want. I think that is even more budget friendly. The mask is great. I got mine from China for a very very very low price. You only have to check it is infra red light above 820 nm.
This was very informative, thank you. I have just started taking collagen. Im also experimenting with other oral supplements. My dermatologist recommended oral Niacinamide because ive had several non melanoma skin cancers and he says evidence has shown that to be helpful. Hoping when I go to my next 6 month skin check to see a difference What supplements do you recommend for improving dry, aging skin. Im 61 and have been on a skin care journey this year. Your videos have really helped me!
Thank you, for the great information. I have epilepsy and my seizures has caused deep wrinkles on my forehead has deep. Yes, I will try some of these products.
You stopped using the Avene Retinaldehyde? Would you compare the Avene with the Crystal? I'm searching for a retinaldehyde and would love to hear your opinion! Thanks.
@@Emimadd I've seen a couple of your comments saying nothing has worked. Maybe you're not using the products long enough? For most skincare products it takes months to notice any improvement, and being very consistent. 🤷♀️

In all honesty, I have seen much better results from foods, herbs and stuff taken internally, but then I haven't used many really expensive creams. But what I do use - it works pretty quickly. I can tell within a week whether something will have any effect. Your skin kind of knows what it wants and doesn't want.

@@greysky3456 This is the first time I've noticed this happening. It does seem she's had some issues, but she had to change doctors, etc., so that might be the issue.
I have been using Maelove peptide squad, vitamin c, and the hydro moisturizer for 8 months and all I can say is, WOW. The same for the collagen. I just purchased the one with the manganese and the first night I slept so good.
@hildakosovich7954 I use all 3 that I mentioned. A couple times a week I may skip the peptide or the vitamin c. You apply thinnest to thickest. That's the ordered I listed them. Also apply to damp skin so it can soak in better through the pores. You won't be disappointed.
Most of the time argilerine - a peptide - works well with most other ingredients including retinoids and ahas but it’s always good to be cautious when first starting. Be sure to alternate your glycolic and retinoid every other night, but I’ve used argilerine with matrixyl for two years combined with various forms of vitamin A and recently 10% glycolic and lactic acid and had no issues. First cleanse then glycolic then argilerine & moisturizer. Or cleanse - argilerine - retinoid then moisturizer - remember everyone is different so always test things gradually to see if you have any sensitivity.
@@juStb4u Thanks. I already use A313 and glycolilc acid on alternating nights. I may introduce argireline during the day at first, then see how it goes. Makes sense to add things slowly and avoid irritation.
Two possible options: 1. Some products will use masking fragrance to replace the smell with something else or "remove" that scent. My PTR Vit C cream was awesome but basically all the complaints in the reviews were about the smell, which is natural, so I noticed that my last purchase of the cream removed the smell. Bummer, because I don't like added fragrance; I would've prefered the real smell of the ingredients instead (even that semi-cooking hot dog smell which dissipates within seconds literally). Luckily for you, most brands actually add citrus scents to cover up the Vitamin C smell if you prefer that. 2. Until recently, when I started incorporating the PTR Vit C cream, I just used products with other antioxidants like reservatrol or peptides. You really don't have to use vitamin C.
Skin Iceland also have these and they’re a little less expensive. But honestly, they’re only something I use occasionally on “Pamper Days.” I get better results from other products like Vaseline over my moisturizer under my eyes. (I have a dry skin type and am not prone to milia.)

I don’t know why after few months using collagen powder consistently, my nails are broken easily ( I have quite thick strong nails). After stopping using collagen, my nails go back to normal
Collagen is generally great for skin, hair and nails. Do you take silica along with it? I've heard that silica really helps the collagen do what it needs to do.
@@Heather-nq4rv no I didn’t. Only high quality collagen powder but for me it doesn’t do anything except destroy my nails so I never trust any collagen again
Speaking of vit c serums, have you heard of the Poems from the Lab Future Focus Vit C? It was developed by cosmetic chemist/formulator KindofStephen. Roc and Peace Out have some microdart patches with retinol/peptides and one has vit c. Medik8 also has their Oxy-R peptide serum (resveratrol) which at least one derm has recommended for folks who might be sensitive to vit c (ascorbic acid).
I love the "botox in a bottle" peptide. It works for me but I have never had actual botox to compare. I think these peptides have different effects depending on the person. Like all skincare. I am not understanding why people get so upset just because something doesnt work for them.
To be fair to Dr. Locke, she is a dermatologist and she might be interested in trying the different strengths of Medik8 (now goes from 3% up to 24% retinaldehyde from what I have seen.) Avene only has .05%-1.0%. So Medik8 now has the strongest retinaldehyde on the market.

Aaarrgh! its confusing... You introduce your “Four Wrinkle Treatment” categories... Serums & Creams, Patches, Skin Care Devises and Collagen Supplements. The first product is from the “Patches” category and you explain the micro-darts, the ingredient Argineline (a.k.a. Botox-In-A-Bottle) etc. etc. I was good up to that,, but after five min. you moved to your second category, “Serums & Creams” which focuses on (other?) “Four Main Ingredients,” namely Vitamin C, Retinoids, Peptides and Bakichiol before you detail the benefits and again the ingredient Argineline (a.k.a. Botox-In-A-Bottle) and stress how effective the Bakichiol is. I couldn’t make sense of the comparisons and began to feel completely lost, even when I re-watched and started writing it down. I only made it though to the beginning of category three, “Devices.". I appreciate the information but there’s something wrong in the delivery of it. I think it’s too much, too fast. Hard to absorb for anyone who is not professional not working in the industry. I’m exhausted, lol! I realize I might be the problem and maybe 99% of your subscribers disagree with me. I apologize if that’s the case.
It's silly and unnecessary to compare botox to beauty products. It paralises the muscles, there is nothing even remotely similar out there. Looks like a clickbait.😢 I've used 'botox in a bottle ' (hate this name) and it doesn't do anything! Like...zero.
I use "Botox in a bottle" and it definitely works for me, especially if I use it in multiple steps. It freezes my unconscious movements and the fine wrinkles almost disappear. But my face, especially my forehead, has almost no fat, it's mostly skin, muscle and bone. Some things work for some people and for others they don't. Like vitamin c does nothing for me and I tried all of the favorites.
I think it’s more about giving alternatives. Some people simply don’t want to inject a toxin in their bodies. I’ve used Botox and it’s good, but honestly I’ve used it a few times total and it doesn’t last long. I’ve decided to focus ok my aging skin rather than use something that is very temporary and does come with some side effects! Despite what they tell you. I like her alternative options and I’ve used Many and am quite happy! My face can move , but I feel like my skin looks and feels very nice. Maelove makes some great serums. Frownies also are decent. Botox is very short lived.
For me I've noticed Argireline does do something. I notice it when I haven't used it in awhile. I've never used Botox though (and I'm not planning to), so can't compare it. I'm guessing Botox does quite a bit more than Argireline though.
