I use The Ordinary’s retinal emulsion around my eyes. There’s zero irritation and after a month of use has dramatically changed my face. I look 10 years younger! I recommend this product to everyone. It’s extremely gentle for a 0.2% retinal xx

I recently started using Beauty of Joseon's Revive Eye Serum : Ginseng + Retinal (Korean beauty) I use it on my entire face. It's only $24USD/$20CAD 30ml. I use a bunch of their products; I'm in love with them, highly recommend-super affordable and everything is loaded with beautiful ingredients. My skin has never looked better (42 years old) 😊

I notice in the comments that a lot of us wonder about using these products you recommended on our upper eyelids and on the brow bone. I have very crepey skin on my eyes near the inner corner and I have little bumps on and near the brow bone. I have tried some eye creams in those areas, but experienced irritation from that. I’d love to see a video from you about this area. Thank you for your informative videos!

I just ordered Medik8 Ceramide eye 3 as per your recommendation. It is $89 here in Australia. I have been using StriVectin eye serum with peptide. I’m 47 and have only had one line under my eye for the past year. I use SPF daily, Tretinoin but not near my eyes as they water and sting if it’s too close so I do put it to the orbital bone which is where that fine line is. I use Timeless vit c serum, Niacidamide serum, Timeless Q10 daily.,

Absolutely loved this video! I want to share my experience with red light therapy for those curious. I started using a red light therapy panel from Future Form Official, which was actually recommended by my dermatologist. After incorporating it into my routine, I've noticed significant improvements in my skin complexion and a reduction in wrinkles. The panel is affordably priced, making it accessible for those of us mindful of budget. There are numerous scientific papers backing up the benefits of red light therapy, and I've seen firsthand how effective it can be. Thank you all for sharing such valuable insights here!

Elta MD UV Restore broad-spectrum SPF 40 does not irritate the eyes. It’s also a physical sunscreen, not a chemical sunscreen, for anyone concerned about endocrine disruptors. It’s a bit spendy, but worth it since it’s the only option that checks the above criteria (that I’ve been able to find!). I’m all ears if there is a dupe out there.

My crepey under eyes (and eyelids) are caused by allergies and extreme blepheritis. No matter how many allergy pills I take, some mornings I wake up with eyes swollen like ping pong balls just because…Spring, or the Autumn alfalfa harvest. After a week or so the swelling usually goes down (although it once lasted for 3 months) and then I’m left with all this loose elephant skin around my eyes aging me by at least 10 years. I’ve been to a dermatologist who gave me some steroid cream, but although it helps with the swelling it does nothing for the aftermath. Will the tips in this video help with that?

What about Avene eye cream? I know that you like the Avene products, is the eyecream worth using?

I have the Avene eye cream but switched to Drmtlgy HPR cream and like it better. It doesn't feel as drying to me.

Do you have an eye cream you’d recommend that is safe for people who get milia easily? 😅

I looked at the Maelove peptide product, and while it seems to contain a lot of great ingredients, it also contains sodium benzoate, a preservative which can cause inflammation. It also can react with vitamin C to produce benzenes, which are carcinogenic (and vitamin C is a recommended skin care topical). I have fairly sensitive skin, yet I use prescription-strength tretinoin (0.025%) on my under-eye area, based on the recommendation of several other TH-cam derms, and have never had a problem. It seems to work just fine; my skin there doesn't get red or flakey. I've never had eye irritation either. Thanks for the video, it's all helpful.

Great point you make about Sodium Benzoate. It’s a preservative used in everything! Toothpaste, food, soap, household cleaning products. And, I am allergic to Sodiym Benzoate. Patch tests don’t lie!

Hmm how many studies do we have on the effects of peptides? Are they blinded and placebo controlled? I actually thought we had a bunch of small industry studies.
Also... I can tolerate tret fine under my eyes (have been using it for four months now). However, given that tret may take up to a year to show a significant difference in terms of collagen production, i doubt one can call the retinoid solution 'fast'... Especially since prodrugs like retinol will take even longer to work...

Terrible genetics for the under eyes. In 4th grade my class and teacher freaked out one day because they thought I’d been hit in the face. By college I was using industrial coverage concealer and my eyes were prematurely aged by at least 10 years. Now in my 40s I still have the circles, skin like Saran Wrap but with the added bonus of bags/puffiness. 😩 I feel like my only option at this point is blepharoplasty. But I keep trying with eye creams and other aesthetic treatments. Currently in the middle of a series of Tixel treatments. Thanks for this info!

If she doesn't make money from it she isn't going to recommend it. As per YTs terms she can't give out medical advice either. People think just because someone has a Dr. in front of their name that they can trust everything they say. She might give some helpful suggestions or info that is accurate but the whole point of an influencer is to influence you to buy products.

If you have sensitive, reactive skin or just want an even gentler retinal, I use the Medik8 Crystal Night under my eyes in Strength 1 which is 0.01. Their eye cream lowest strength is 0.03. I've researched so many different brands' retinals and Medik8 is the only one I've found that offers such a low strength of 0.01 created for those of us with sensitive skin.

But does medik8 irritate the under eye & leave it dry, itching & looking worse? I have very sensitive dry skin & tried so many & hated them. Scared to use anything under my eyes as it made me look older. 😟
