Not to try to say that I have it worse but I was just asking, how big is the difference between a 1080p 60hz monitor to a 1440p 180hz? I would guess the difference is huge but is it worth it?
@@felwinter1861 It really depends on multiple factors. The difference is huge, but, especially in FPS games or general shooters. The difference will still be noticeable in story games too, especially with the resolution. But you have to ask yourself: Do you have the budget to spend on a 450$ monitor? Do you have the hardware that can actually put out enough FPS? If not, then can you afford newer hardware? Is the purchase justifiable?
The LG monitors and Samsung monitors were always been able to put the well known Monitors brands on notice. Who knew some of the best monitors came from the best electronic brands? That was sarcasm. Imagine if Sony got into the monitor game

Before 2 days I bought this monitor and I noticed that on the right and left side from top to bottom exactly on edges if you look at it from an angle there is a some kind of shadow . Is this normal for this model and did you notice it when you did the review? This is most visible in bright pictures and when viewed from an angle. If you sit a little further from the monitor and look straight ahead, it is not so noticeable. It looks like monitor mask leavs shadow on panel at the edges.

How this monitor compares to the DELL S2721DGF? From what i know dell has some serious backlight bleed but overall for the picture quality who's better?
How is the IPS glow on your unit? I'm returning it because the IPS glow on mine is horrible on the left side and not only in black scenes. Even cycling throughout colors when testing/looking for dead pixels, the left side is more brighter! Really disappointed.
That sucks, I’m interested in this monitor but the ips lottery puts me off. Seriously the years ips has been around you’d think they’d solve it by now. Why LG don’t make oled panels this size is beyond me.

If you had to choose between this monitor and the LG 27GN880-B, which is very similar in terms of specs, which one would you go for and why? @Leon 22 hey, yeah, I finally went for the 850 model, it was supposed to have better hdr and since I was planning to try it out I went for that one. Either way, it is a great monitor and I am glad I bought it. I would recommend it.
@Leon 22 It's not bad on mine, I get some that go around 1cm from the edge of the screen to the center right in the middle, but it's there only when I turn on the display, it doesn't bother me in games or anything like that.

You do seem to have a special liking for the menu? I recommend to spend minimal time on them, lots of other things to show. Have the screen btw, and the menu control stick feels Cheap, and not in line with the decent build of the rest of the parts
Can you check the VRR range for this display in Gsync compactible mode? I think you can find it in the Nvidia controll panel! Because it should be 48-165 but in nvidia site they say that the range is 60-165... weird~
Just overclock the monitor… there’s a button under the monitor where the lg logo exists. Go to the settings pressing the button and select refresh rate, where you’ll get the two options of 165 hz and 180 hz (overlock). Overlocking does no harm so you are good to go. Open the game and frame cap at 165 hz and enjoy

I've got one of these monitors arriving tomorrow. I'm watching review this on an old Eizo FlexScan TFT monitor I bought for £15 to do my software build on my new PC. Can not wait to plug in the big LG GP850! My last decent monitor was an Asus Rog MG279Q 1440p IPS I bought 6 years ago, so I'm hoping for a significant uplift in graphics with the LG

Rich colors surprisingly decent blacks, a big step up from my old faithful Asus ROG MG279Q. I play with the room lights on and they are bright, however if you like to use your PC in a dark room, this is when you will notice the blacks are not that black, but in a brightly lit room with the monitor throwing out over 400 nits brightness, its a beauty to behold. I got my 27GP850-B from Overclockers UK for the incredibly low price of just £380, an absolute bargain!
It looks very good possibly my present for this christmas year it can be big upgrade and replacment for LG 32 inch and 60 Hz TV. That monitor can be more comfortable.

What about the dark level in this monitor? They measure about 850 contrast ratio in all nano IPS panels is a major issue . Have you testing your unit in a dark room to play games or watch movies. Thank you!
Can you please make S3422DWG review, I'm really interested in it, but I'm scared of ghosting/black smearing. I currently own S2719DGF(TN Panel) and would like to upgrade, possibly to ultrawide. Your LG Ultra Gear is one of the options but the GP model is not yet available in my country, 34GN850 is but it is cca. 1000€. Acer Predator X34GS that is similarly priced here has better specs on paper, and design, so if I decide to spend that much money would probably go for Predator(also not many review online for it, don't know why).
I hate the stand SO MUCH. If you have your desk against a wall that is ~25cm of your desk depth completely wasted. Why did they have to go for that weird angular shape on the stand? That is 40€ on a third party stand right there, on top of the already expensive monitor. Otherwise it would be a near perfect monitor. Great video BTW
I just bought one of these, I'm currently waiting for delivery. But I already have a VESA monitor arm to go with it, I won't use the stand that comes with the monitor.
It would be better to point the camera at the monitor or its parts, because people watching unboxing videos are not interested in what the host looks like.

Hello. excellent review! but why can't you activate the MBR?
Adaptive Sync always has to be off to turn on MBR, this is because MBR locks the panel's refresh rate.

27 inch is faster and has more ppi (108 ppi) while 32 inch has 93 ppi i believe and has worse response times..Parakalw
