A few people have suggested that one of the flashbacks (original show / original sin) was reality and one was an unreliable narrator. I think that is a good way to reconcile the differences.
Ok, so Dexter was exhibiting pathic behaviors at a young age, and Harry gave him the psychological "help" he could. Dr. Vogel was a character, remember? Unfortunately, there are no sure-fire methods to treat psychopathy and Dexter was not benefitting from the treatment, so Harry and Dr. Vogel developed "The Code", a last ditch effort to make Dexter a "good" man, because nothing was going to stop him from killing. The story never once treated Harry's code as master plan to "make a serial killer". You're omitting very important parts of the show because they were not shown on-screen. - Dexter Fan, Behavioral Therapist, Serial Killer?
Yeah there's a few small inconsistencies with how some of the characters act and with how somethings happened but I'm thinking either Dexter is a very unreliable narrator or since Dexter is remembering/ were seeing memories from of things from Dexter's life 30 years ago he's not gonna remember things exactly how they happened or remember exactly how everyone acted and how they used to be.
Harry loved his son despite recognizing he is a serial killer. So he develops the code, teaches it to Dexter, and points him at evil people. You should read the books.
It’s funny that nobody seems to know what this sport is. When I was a kid, this was kind of big in New York, but I never heard about it again so I moved to Miami like 20 years later. Haven’t heard about it again and maybe like 10 years since this showcame up now. Maybe a more dangerous version of squash.
One thing about og harry is that he clearly has become jaded about the law as multiple criminals keep getting off due to harrys less than legal ways of catching criminals. Also the last season of dexter reveals that harry didnt original create the code and harry was influenced by a therapist to teach dex. So thats why he comes off more open to dexter killing and kinda weird
That was jai alai it was a sport that was basically made as a way for mob members and cartels to launder money, it still exists today but many of the leagues are gone or broken up because authorities caught up to it being a scapegoat for money laundering schemes. Florida was one of the main places on earth it was popular. So it actually fits very well with the themes of the show as well as the times because the craze over the sport was pretty much gone by the 2000s very big in the 80s and 90s though
❤ is Deborah before she started becoming a cop and I getting into clues and stuff like that, but is Dexter before he became this sort of well-known guy that feels things before you the crazy person to kill
Yeah, I was gonna happen if they’re gonna push this thing lot longer and make it seem like Harry suicide was something completely different from what we saw in the original series because the original series one never counted on why he committed suicide per but I think it’s gonna be something we did something more than nobody really knows and people don’t know Dexter father still alive. He died in season one unexpectedlyand he’s😅 this this show does have a little coleslaw energy in it
This episode two didn’t make a lot of sense. I thought he was gonna kill the guy that in season two of Dexter Harry wanted to kill the drug dealer, but the drug dealer at getting picked up off, so Dexter killed him and shot them up. That’s why Harry the father killed himself because of thatthat’s what happened before he has the long hair change that timeline and made it to another guy that’s one thing I don’t think about continuity and when did Masuka become older than older than Dexter Masuka would like the same agent Dexter
When watching the original series watching the kill scenes felt so satisfying it actually feels like you’re killing the bad guys yourself waiting for the blood to pool up us the viewers are basically dexters dark passenger waiting for the kill but when watching original sin it honestly feels like the most normal kill ever and dexter in this series smiles way too much and is full of emotion deb is really annoying but I did enjoy the fight scenes in the series though
I never knew,Harry had another natural son,that drowned .
It wasn’t mentioned in the original series .

Around 2006 that was the golden peak of television. I’m sorry we’re like the silliest stage of television with with Dexter with this show Dexter.

Did that chewy sound in the intro exist in the 90s?

I think the original Harry was Dexter’s version/remembering of him most of the time when we saw him on screen.

So happy you’re doing a review of this series!!!
You're about to meet Ms. Vogal.
what abt dr vogel?
She isn’t canon to the story

Love the video!
But all into a good show
