    Another great comparison! Despite the fact that it shares the same platform, it's almost two different cars. Love the look on IQ5 love the ride on GV60. Thanks again for putting this together!

      Thanks David! I completely agree, it's crazy how they were able to really differentiate these EVS. And I'm with you on the looks of the ioniq 5 and the ride of the gv60 haha

    Great comparison. In Australia, we do not get:
    1) the face recognition (we have a fingerprint reader, but I don't think it does anything). Apparently, it has something to do with not retaining the information in the car only.
    2) Over the air updates,
    3) We also do not yet have an app we can use,
    4) the phone unlock feature, or
    5) garage door buttons (do you have that in the US?).
    We do get the side camera's instead of the mirrors which are awesome (No blind spots, no glare, always dry and visible when it rains, good vision at night, and passengers can also see what is behind us). Every car should have them. They come with mats already, and they threw in a first aid kit. We get 5 years free service, an installed charger (or 5 years free charging), and 5 or 10 years free road side assist (I forget how long it is).

      Wow very interesting how it differs between markets.
      1) the facial recognition system is pretty cool, that stinks it's not in every market
      2) hopefully thing add ota?
      3) apps are pretty glitchy, but surprising that it's not available in all markets
      4) I can only wonder what it's like =)
      5) yes we do, haha strange omission - do most people not have garages in Australia?
      I'm VERY jealous of the cameras instead of mirrors haha and that's very interesting about the add ons like charger install or 5 years free charging.

      @@CarsJubilee The vast majority of people in Australia have a garage. The most recent census puts us at 70% living in stand-alone houses, 13% in townhouses and 16% in apartments. I think the restriction is due to transmission interference and how they do not comply with local regulations. My BMW i3 has the buttons too, but they don't do anything and can't be programmed for our garage door.

      Oooh wow very interesting. I guess the old standalone garage clicker remote will have to do then?

    Hello Victor , great comparison as you know I have the GV 60 Advance i have to say its is the best car i have owned , I still have my Ioniq5 on order who knows when its going to get here , I will for sure keep the GV 60 the extra money I had to pay was worth it in every way, what is nice in Canada the GV 60 Advance come with the full Performance trim , so I am able to get my range just over 300 miles in the summer weather with the smaller wheels and less power. If i could take one thing from the Ioniq5 and put in the GV 60 it would be the sliding center console . I think I know which one you are going to choose :) Thanks Victor great video.

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh wow that's awesome that you can spec the Advance with Performance trim package (so suede interior with the massaging seats?), that would probably be enough for me where I wouldn't need the full on Performance model if that was an option here in the US.
      Surprisingly I haven't used the sliding console much but it's definitely neat.
      Hahah I guess I didn't hide it well!

    • @shaunmckenna1923
      @shaunmckenna1923 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarsJubilee Yes Victor once you have driven the GV 60 it would hard to go back , the only difference in the trim is no massaging seat but I have all the suede and the quilted Napa leather , I dont have the rear side window shades , I would like the center console deeper and do away with the pass through its just to hard to get for every day use if the console was sliding it would also make it easier to get to the 2 USC plug ins as I find I have to unplug the apple car play now and again to refresh , but not really a hardship.

    Interesting point on the loaners for Hyundai. This is one reason I try to buy my cars local. Every car I've ever purchased I've made sure the dealership offers free loaners with major services. That is a huge perk in my book.

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed access to loaners is pretty important to me as well.
      The tricky part is these dealerships need to be EV certified also which is not a given with most Hyundai/Genesis dealers.

    I wished you would have compared the voice rec systems in both cars. I have an I5 limited. Once I figured out the commands, I very much like using it rather than trying to fumble with the touch screen while driving, although I do find the voice rec pretty quirky.

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha calling it quirky would be pretty spot on for me as well.
      They behave 100% exactly the same between the two cars.
      That's a good one that slipped my mind!

    Good Compare. I noticed two things though. 1-At the beginning of the video I noticed the plugs or holes for the front license plate on the Ioniq 5 while the GV60 doesn't. Any reason? 2- As for the comparison itself, The GV 60 performance is awesome, especially with those blue seats, but one thing I can't get over and it wasn't mentioned is that spoiler across the middle of the rear window cuts visibility. I thought I can overcome it, but on the test drive, it looks great externally but inside the car, it drove me nuts.

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว

      In PA we don't have front plates. Bought my ioniq 5 off a lot in NY where they already prepped it for local NY buyers.
      With my GV60 we had a reservation and they knew we were PA buyers so no holes made thankfully.
      Ah I thought that might bother me too but surprisingly it hasn't, it's a pretty interesting view looking back and the spoiler definitely helps keep the rear glass cleaner.

    you forgot the Sao Paulo Lime model with the blue interior. I bought one at Burns.
    You have to see Sal Hasan the best salesman there. The only salesman that I know that works by appointment only I get more comments on the color than the car. I drove all 3 kia, Hyundai and Genesis before I decided on the Gv60 performance hands down the best of the 3. And the lime with blue interior is Killer

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahhh yes how could I forget the Sau Paulo lime green? Haha very nice! Mine was from Burns/Cherry Hill as well. Are you in the area?
      Ya that's a crazy color, I've seen it once in person and I couldn't take my eyes off it haha.

    Very well done. I currently have a tesla model 3. And tryin to decide my next vehicle.
    I think if u do another comparison video it would be nice to know the range in cold weather, do they include a heat pump. Also any 12v battery issues so far.

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks!
      Cold weather range is closer together. I get around 230-240 with the GV60 Performance and around 250 with the Ioniq 5 AWD.
      No issues with the 12v battery with either car. More reported 12v issues with the ioniq 5 but that may be due to the fact gv60 is sold in only a few states at lower volume.

      amzn.to/3afKwpJ - Suction Phone Mount (magnet style)

    Both seem like great cars. I have the GV60 performance in Saville Silver with the torrent blue interior. Maybe it's a Canadian option.

    yes I live in Bellmawr not far from burns. I bought my 2019 santa fe ultimate t there also. Sal is the best. there the oldest Hyundai and Genesis dealer around. they have the largest volume of Ioniqs and GV60s. Go to sal and tell him Dustan sent you

    What is that thing sticking out of the underside of the front dash in the Ioniq 5?

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's my phone mount. It's a suction cup on the end that sticks to the underside of the dash and magnetic on the top end for my phone.
      I think there should be an amazon link in my video description.

    (3:40) - what do you use to open the car if you don't have your phone with you (or don't want to use your phone for that purpose, as I do not)? Does Hyundai give you two key fobs?

    • @LoopinFool
      @LoopinFool ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do the rear seats recline and move the way they do in the Ionic 5?

    • @CarsJubilee

      Same recline as ioniq 5, but only ioniq 5 gets the sliding feature.

      Ioniq Not Ionic. For f sakes people the name is RIGHT ON THE CAR. Learn to spell it right!!!!!!

  • @CharlieHarmel
    @CharlieHarmel ปีที่แล้ว

    Why didn’t you talk about the rear seat on the Ioniq 5. You are clearly biased towards the GV60.

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I said gv60 has 90% of the seating space of the ioniq 5 and actually showed how the ioniq 5 has more headroom for the rear seats.
      Then I had an entire slide stating that the ioniq 5 can easily accommodate 6 footers in front and in back together.
      Maybe that does come off as biased in the way I presented? I'm just pointing out things that were noteworthy to me as an actual owner of both.

    這是一篇關於Hyundai Ioniq 5和Genesis GV60電動汽車的對比文章。作者是車主,沒有使用壓力測試車或租賃車,已擁有Ioniq 5近一年,GV60超過六個月。文章對這兩款車的差異進行了討論,主要包括外觀和空間、科技特點、性能和續航能力等方面。 GV60的內部空間在座位空間方面約為Ioniq 5的90%,但是仍然有很好的腿部空間,尤其適合家庭使用。作者還提到了GV60的面部解鎖系統、按需拍照功能和數字鑰匙2等酷炫的科技特點。在性能方面,GV60擁有429馬力,而Ioniq 5只有320馬力,但Ioniq 5的續航里程比GV60長,尤其在夏季,Ioniq 5表現得更好。文章對兩款車的氣候控制系統、座椅舒適度和駕駛體驗也進行了討論。總的來說,這篇文章對Ioniq 5和GV60進行了深入的比較,提供了有用的信息供購車者參考。

    and Kia does not offer dick, I wish I had a digital key, but then I read that most of the times does not work... *sighs* Don't get me wrong, I love my ev6, just like for what it is, I wish the tech was more up to date

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's so weird that they didn't offer at least digital key 1, though it's really not very good! I'll probably do another review of the apps for these cars, it's honestly been a pretty disappointing aspect of ownership. Not quite what I was hoping for, I think I also wish the tech was more up to date.

      @@CarsJubilee I wish Kia-Hyndai group would gives us what we want, like really, I do not mean wireless AA, I have my own theory, I think you have to pay an additional license to google for the direct wi-fi key or something, the hardware is there 🤷‍♂.
      I wish in a software update we can get: walk out to lock the car, pressing the break pedal to start, walk away to turn it off, stuff like that. Also make more use of the direct wi-fi and bluetooth with the app because not everywhere we have a stable internet connection
