Thank you very much. .3mm solder for the wires and lines. .8mm for the heater hoses. 1.5mm for the exhaust and radiator hoses. There's so much you can do with them.
@@grandpamarkshobbies I have a roll of multi colored wire wrapping wire that is perfect for spark plug cables. The solder would work better for me for shift rods and fuel lines. Better than twist ties for sure
Hi Mark very nice explained. I use thicker solder-wire for the water tubes from the engine to the radiator, cemented with superglue. You can make them so pretty and build then without hassle to any form.I used before that pieces of sprue, but the lead-wire makes my life easy
I dig your geeky geeking out. I use solder for headers and exhaust. Once the headers are bent and put together you can hit the end of them at the collector with a soldering iron and it flies them together. Dig your attention to detail sir.
Wow what a great idea!!!!! I have a racing rod that I didn't like the exhaust one bit. Now I'll make my own and do just what you said for the collectors. That was the missing idea that I just couldn't come up with. Thank you very much.
@@grandpamarkshobbies I’ve used collectors cut off from kit headers or very thin appropriately sized heat shrink tube with 3/32 plastic or aluminum tube for the end. 1.5 mm solder works great. Maybe a scoush smaller.
5min epoxy works awesome also. Also I drilled holes in a scratch piece of thick styrene that mimicked the exhaust ports to hold the peices as I worked them
It's real nice to have those predrilled distributors Mark. I've watched you do this, what 3 or 4 times. What a difference it makes with those caps.
