Thanks, Luka, we appreciate your efforts on our behalf!
I'd like to thank you for the time and the work it took to make a video like this. It is the best detailing I have seen. You are also a very good instructor. I would pay for a class like this. Again thank you
Luca, I just happened to see your video here. You are the BEST! You have taught me so much and I appreciate your expertise and knowledge. Thank you for making modelling so much easier for me. from Judy in Nova Scotia, Canada...I am 78 and love this hobby!
I appreciate you and some other TH-camrs for going back through your catalogs to make updated videos. Once you guys have been here long enough the amount of videos becomes difficult to scroll through and YT doesn't always make the process easy at all.
Plus, you also get the opportunity to update with things you improved or changed your approach to which benefits us all, old or new viewers.
Thank you just starting out in building some model cars as a retirement hobby. You have a new subscriber 😊
Awesome! Thank you!
I really appreciate your time and effort ! I like how you think as far as overcoming obstacles. MY solution to the ‘inline’ carbs is cutting a very thin sheet of plastic that matches the mounting studs to glue the carbs to. Thank you for EVERYTHING
I really appreciate you taking the time to get this very helpful video out to us. Thanks a lot Brother.👍
One great video. Learned a lot. I especially liked the guitar string/return spring trick. Real slick.
Awesome, thank you!
You wired 8cyl in 1.5 hrs. It took me 2 hr to wire my turbo beetle so you’re doing better than me lol. Good job
Thanks brotha for combining these videos together! It made so much easier for me personally to follow for all your tips n tricks. Thanks !!
Glad to hear that.
@@TheLukaCeeChannel- that was amazing. Thank you Sir
Very nice work putting those videos together. Excellent tutorial on engine detailing. I am sure you made many of your viewers happy with this one. Now I need to add guitar strings to my shopping list. Lol. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful, Luka. Fake jewrelry shops have these strings already without the inner cord. I think they use it to build wirst rings or necklaces. Next time, try to build the return coil bracket higher. and glue the return spring at the middle of the throttle rod, not at the tip. It will give you a more horizontal coil with more traction (if it is an actual car) and a more realistic appearence. I m a member of your FC group and I like it too much. Stay good and well.
It was great rewatching those old videos. Just think of the new stuff out there like the Dead Center tool and 3D printed parts that can be added now days. Thanks for sharing.
That’s a great idea Matt to put all those videos together into 1. Although long together you get to see all in one video. By the way I’ve already seen each one individually. Have a great day my friend.
Thanks Brian! 😁
@@TheLukaCeeChannel will they ever make that spray metalizer that model master made.???? I loved that stuff.what can I use in its place
WOW . I’m going to hobby lobby right now !!!! I had 2of the red ones many years ago. when I saw this video and your techniques, I was blown away. Thank you so much. Looking forward to building one the way I should have built it, have a lot more expierence now. Thanks again!!…
Very very cool.thank you so much for the time you've put in to the video
Saw the back bowl off then glue it back on. That will replicate a 4160 Holley carb and fix the spacing issue too.
Spark plug zip tye wire. Some of the bread tye wire is small enough to use for this. That is what I have been using.
Nice video. I used to make AN hose ends from thin wire and short pieces of rosin core solder. The solder goes on the end of the stripped wire which is then bent to form the hose end with another piece of solder after the bend. The wire is then painted silver to match the solder and make it look like one piece. After drying it can be painted translucent blue or red simulating anodized aluminum.
Your fb group is awesome. Definitely my favorite. I try not to post much but I figure there are sooooo many active members that nobody will notice me posting a lot. Lol.
Fantastic video!
Thanks Luka , great video
Totally Awesome All Over Again 🏆🏆 Thanks LC . GBA 🤗 Gary.
Beautiful Job Sir
Thanks you so much for putting this together. I just did some plug wires and am not happy with the results. This is perfect timing!
I'm glad to help. Best of luck. My first time was a complete disaster.
I remember my Mom setting the points on our car using a book of matches. Opening it up and the cover was the thickness that was needed.
Oldie but a goodie
I like to use Helping Hands, they come with alligator clamps but i take a stick of syrene to clamp the part on. Watched Clay do it.
Key thing required is patience. I'm missing that ingredient😂
Fairly newish member of the Facebook group. Had no idea you had a TH-cam channel 😅. Very helpful video man. Greatly appreciate the info
Thanks for watching
I’ve never did an model with wires or hoses so I applaud the skill and patience.
One thing I found interesting is you didn’t fill and smooth the joint between the top and bottom of intake since these are casted as one piece in real life.
I learned a lot so hopefully I can do half as good as what you did.
Wow !!! Beautiful job !👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much 😊
I absolutely love the Facebook group🤘
Thanks. I am working on a 409 with detailing parts from VCG Resins and being able to detail it like you showed would be great, though it only has a single Holly 4 barrel.
Woooow love that music caught me by surprise! 😅
nice video enjoyed 👍👍👍👍
I'm looking at every engine bay of every model car I have right now.
Dipstick is shear BRILLANCE
You did a job job
Put a couple of band aids around fingers so the drill won't do any damage to your fingers. Duct tape too.
Thanks Luka. I learned some pretty cool engine detailing tips. I also learned that none of your guitars have a "D" string. LOL
😆
That's awesome. Great job. I need to step up my game 😂. Thanks for the tips. New subscriber here for sure.
Thanks for the sub!
Picked up a few kits this morning from Andy's to build a couple fire burnouts at the starting line was looking for some 1/16th funny cars to destroy for a half-track Kaboom diorama
Right on. I must have just missed ya, Paul.
@@TheLukaCeeChannel yes i was the first one in at 10am walked around for an hour or so guys were grabbing kits left and right
Parked in my garage is a 4 door 1966 Ford galaxy 500 with a 427.
As far as I know no model manufacturer make a 66 4 door kit of my car.
I was at my local model shop one day and in the old open kit box I found a 66 kit .
Now I'm thinking I can buy a new kit of the 2 door and do some surgery.
I opend the box to see if it was al there and to surprise there was 2 complete 2 door 1966 galaxy 500 car kits in the same box and I get to use the same paints I sprayed my car with.
CHAAAACHING !
Excellent story. Thank you for sharing, Sir....
I always say; it's the little things in life that bring joy.
Atleast that's what I tell my wife of 30 years..😅
29:10 Beer, Rockets, Safety!
Neat old photos of race engines. The guy that built the big block Chevy in this video did not want to buy left side inlet cathedral float bowls even though the mechanical fuel pump is on the left side. He used what he could get and keeps the wife happy.
Would you ever use the blue gasket sealer, at least blue paint, where you might normally see it?
Like Your Videos
Id like to see you run plug wires on a ford modified engine.
Luka Cee, where did you get the vise from? That looks very useful
If you can't build an Engine after watching that, you need to watch it again.
👍👍👍👍
Do you happen to have a recommendation on what gauge d string to use?
What size channel would I get to make my own Z'd frame for rat rods?
Is there a continuation video on how you completed terminating the fuel lines you installed?
Now my question is, are those wires in the proper firing order ???
I hear model master as a brand and product are gone. I completely invested in that brand since I have been useing testors since the late 60s.
There metalizers are fantastic metal paints.
is there anywhere to get aftermarket engines for scale models
Great video Luka. Where do you get your Valvoline decals?
From old decal sheets
The firing order is correct too...
At 6:12 is the separation you're talking about with enamels where the paint tends to flow away from the edges more towards the middle of the part, leaving the paint on those edges thinner and allowing the color underneath to kind of stay visible? Or am I experiencing a different issue?
It's an issue that is common with enamels
@@TheLukaCeeChannel Is it just enamels themselves then and not a lack of levelling agent in the spray itself? I use Mr Surfacer sometimes and it doesn't seem to do what I experience with Krylon or Rustoleum. But it is just a primer; not a paint/primer combo so that may make a difference.
Where in the world did you find that oil filter?
Why don't builders use automotive base/clear paint on builds. It dries fast. Lays down real flat.
Wet sands easy has great gloss and last forever.
I have been using it for over 20 years and like it better than any model paint I've ever used. You can go to body shops and most of them are happy to give away left over paint .
A pint or qt of automotive base coat goes a long way on models. Considering it takes fewer coats for coverage.
Just a thought because I hardly ever hear of builders using it.
This must be the first video of mine you have watched. For me. There are places for certain types of paints. That is great that that works for you. I find that to not be necessary for everything on a model.
You will find a few of my models on my channel, that I painted with base coat/urethane clear coat in my spray booth at a custom paint shop use to work at. And I have racks of PPG Paints that I mixed myself when I managed an automotive paint supply store. I'm over it. It's just not worth the trouble for me. But that's me. If it's what you do to enjoy this hobby. That is great. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@TheLukaCeeChannel yea I restored classic cars bikes and jet boats for 30 plus years so it's about all I've ever used. Don't get enough time to build to learn of all the new paints for models. I do like the look of the model clear tho. Lays down nice.
Where can I find that small vice you are using sir?
I bought that at Radio Shack back in the 80s. Look up Micro Mark. They are the best place to order tools for the hobby. Check out the Throttle Power Channel. Tim did a great walk through, of the Micro Mark catalog.
Where is LUKA ? HE Sleeps with the Fish 🐟🐟🐟 😭
Can you make a NASCAR gen 6 engine and put it in a model nascar or just make the engine
I don't have one planned. I don't have allot of interest in those cars.
@@TheLukaCeeChannel ok 👍 keep up with the good work
Thanks for your tutorial. I would love to see more modellers take time to walk through and provide narrative vs a quick video accompanied with annoying music. One thing, almost all kits do not address firewall connections. heater and AC hoses wires etc. Also battery cables, brake lines, washer fluid lines, wire harnesses. Anyways your videos are very helpful. Thank you.
