Looks like a awesome brush! I love that fan cap on my swallowtail because it sprays a great pattern. That is why I don't leave anything in the paint cup after mixing the paint... Sweet video as always my friend! LLAP 🖖

Nice to see you working on the Goodyear blimp. I received the electronics I was waiting for to build mine and I think my idea will work. It's now in the build queue. I'll start on it after I finish my current build (nearly done) and one Group Build before I get to the blimp. So looking forward to it.

That fan tip works great. I haven't gotten that airbrush yet. It's in the mail, but I have that fan tip on one of the other airbrushes and I paint all my bodies with it. When this one comes in I will be using it for my clear only.

I've lost count of the number of times I've spilled paint in the booth, accidentally dumped the paint out of the airbrush cup, etc. Klutz is my middle name!

I've got a swallowtail with a fan cap, but I really want Gaahleri to quit fooling around with these and make a real fan gun like the Iwata LPH80 but at half the price.

Looks sweet, had that kit back in the day when it was a Monogram issue. Quick tip: you put the pistol grip shift lever on backwards. I done similar with my Moebius ‘65 Cyclone, I put the whole console on backwards. Luckily my Cyclone build is a kit bashed custom - if I were going for a stock Cyclone look, I would’ve ended up taking the whole build apart to get at it.

Looking good 👍 the rear part of the engine hood on these sit high so you may want to file some parts down.

I built this car decades ago and it was the best I had ever done at the time. I did a rattle can Testors metallic dark blue that actually gave me a great finish for once. The way the taillights are done makes it easy to get a great finish there. Loving watching you build it. Oh my current Olds Cutlass I got the radiator overflow and washer fluid tanks just the way I wanted, very much like yours, and then I had to strip it. Grrrrr. Hopefully it will go as well the next time. LOOKS GREAT

What about (1) ClearCoating the body first and then (2) WetSand followed by a (3) Polish I understood that was the typical order. Your thoughts are welcomed.

Awesome video! Love the detailing in the engine bay with the battery, WW tank and hose, as well as the instrument panel especially the technique of using Mod Podge to fill in gauges.

Love the fuel line! I’ll have to try that. That’s what I use for my valve stems too. I usually save the pieces I cut off the plug wires I paint rubber black.

Love the Mopar's --- And I wouldn't worry about the location of the steering wheel in relation to the wheels ---- While stationed at Clark in the Philippines ---- the Jeepney drivers would spin the steering wheel 4 to 5 times lock to lock in making a corner ---- that was kind of scary seeing that for the first time ---- So --- on your Cuda the steering wheel could be ---- Straight --- anywhere between the say four turns ----- I ordered my '72 Barracuda new through the on base dealership when I was over there --- waiting for me when I got back to the states ------ Did a --- Good job on detailing the Cuda ---- Looks real nice ----- will wait for when it is finally off the assembly line and off to the Showroom floor ----- Hope you have a Happy New Year ------ Take Care ----- Rodney

Tweezers for ingrown hairs and detail work

Looking really good. I don't mean this as a "gotcha", but the pistol grip shifter should be rotated 180 degrees. I know it's a bit counter intuitive but if you look for images online, you can see how it's supposed to be mounted.

Great looking kit Mark. Two things. You should do the carpet bright red, I think the car needs a splash of colour. Also, after you’ve painted the car semi gloss black, clear it with semi gloss clear. The Tamyia one is very resistant.

Yea, I have been pulling the needle out the front ever since seeing you do it before. I have had the Gaahleri swallowtail with the fan cap since June. Wish I would’ve waited 6 months and got this one.

I have the gravity feed Swallow Tail and I really like it.

Chrome, rather lack thereof seems to make it a 210

Hey, you install your needle the same way I do, resting it on my finger to guide it in. I've never seen anybody else do that on TH-cam, I thought I was the only one.

I've seen Bruce's power setup for his last build, that was sweet! If you can pull that off in this Bel Air, it'd be awesome

Mark, how about trying the same technique as you do on the frame rails, Flat Black with Quick Shine airbrushed on.
