I suggest applying cuticle oil to your nails daily, sally hansen vitamin e cuticle oil is my favourite. If you do your dishes or laundry by hand, use gloves to protect your nails. Use any nail polish of your choice along with a fast drying top coat as a layer of protection for your natural nails, try sally hansen insta-dri top coat, it dries fast and gives a gel like finish. I hope this helps improve your nail's health, you should be able to see improvement within a few weeks.
@@avaakhterMaybe not fast drying top coat. It take away the nails natural oils/hydration. We wouldn’t want more breakage but everything else sounds beautiful. I’m glad there’s people on here who like to help❤
My nails are very brittle from thyroid disease and I had to do the same thing. I now keep a thin layer of clear hard gel on my nails, and do an infill and a new coat of polish every two weeks.
Ohhh i never made that connection wowww. I play piano and flute so i was never able to have nails at all but everytime i tried they broke super easy and i also habe thyroid disease....now i understand all. 😮
I have naturally oily nail beds that reject gel. In order to grow my natural nails out, I have to use silk overlay or just go with acrylics. And, once they are the length I want, I file down the acrylic until it becomes just a supportive layer and keep up with infills until I want them short again. Then, I remove all of the acrylic and trim them very short.
I'm blessed with very thick nails. I keep them cut square. I also done polish them. I keep them moisturized. Yjat keeps them pliable and they don't break nearly as much

I jad to perform emergency surgery on my index nail at work today.. its got a Lot of growing and healing to do now, sadly 😢 that same one has be having an issue with splitting vertically up my nail for months, but the last month now its been so bad that i haven't even had a visible nail past the "hyponychium" (skin underneath) at all. And now im missing about a 3rd of my nail on one side. 😢 And i had wanted to paint them today too 😭
I need desperate help with my nails! I have a really bad habit of biting them and i have tried everything to stop and it never works… they are too short so i cant get tips on them.. does anyone know how i can stop biting them and get them to at least where i can get a tip on them???😅
What sucks is the gel makes my nails worse when removed. Too bad there's not a way to grow natural names without having to put anything damaging on top of them. Will the rubber gel damage like regular gel and acrylic when removed?
I’m sorry to hear that Your nails got damaged. How did you remove them? With proper technique and Removal, Nails will stay the same as they were before doing extensions.
@@tuttyfatI'd suggest you try polygell extensions, they might work better for you and you can soke them off pretty sure. Maybe being gentle after words for a few days say 2 or 3 before a new set could gelp your natural nails fat some strength before having them again. I'm no expert I just have very naturally thin a flexible so one snaps first day off. Just a suggestion
@@Nailcouyes, but by the time your nails are grown, they are so distorted and week because of the constant use of gel that then you shall continue using gel until… the breaking point: the nail bed is so definitely destroyed that isn’t properly supporting the gel.
You cannot figure out what happened???? Happened that you nails got week and destroyed precisely because doing gel over and over and over again. This is what gel does.
You don't have to be a jerk about it, they're my nails it's not that serious. I was already doing gel before, it's not the gel causing the problem but the way im removing it, I'm just not sure exactly what I've been doing differently. Thanks so much for your help 🙄
Your nails are beautiful! Sort of feel like additives that strengthen the nail unnaturally is cheating, part of the journey to long natural nails is being mindful of what you eat and how to properly shape your nails use your hands to avoid breaks.
Not everyone is blessed with strong natural nails. Certainly they grow, but break because they're too thin/ flexible or the person just have a health condition that makes them like that. Even genetics can play a role. That's where enhancements can strengthen the natural nail like a shield; she's not adding length.
I find long natural nails kinda “dirty”, i feel like acrylic nails are prettier. My natural nails grow very fast and strong, but i feel so dirty when they are long, its just weird, when i see girls with long natural nails im like 🤮🤢

So pretty!! The almond shape does really suit you. My nails curve in funny ways which is why I always do extensions...it's less hassle.

Correct, hard gel does not soak off. You have to file to a thin layer that will eventually grow out.

Different kinds of extensions every time, as I try new products on myself 😁 on this video I had hard gel extensions
