    Just stumbled across your channel, thanks to youtube randomness. Clear and concise. Occasionally I get how does this work questions. I have definitely found a channel to send people to when they have questions about how and why 🚗🚘🏎.

    Nice in depth look! I actually assumed they used a mechanical wiper, but this totally makes sense. Much more reliable to use a magnetic field with no parts that can wear out, especially when safety is involved.

      I believe some do use a mechanical wiper, but I need to find one to prove it. One example I saw had what looked like a removable sensor with the same exact shape and connector as a throttle position sensor on previous cable throttle bodies.

    Dude thank you! I'm planning to undergo a total engine swap (J swap an 8th gen civic lol) and I gotta get familiar with the less common DIY stuff. I've done head gaskets and brakes. Gotta do it before everything is illegal or heavily taxed or... Electric.

    Always wondered how this worked instead of the old throttle cable set up!

      I think there are at least two other designs; if I get my hands on them, I'll definitely make videos for them as well. I think there is at least one out there with a sensor unit that can be removed and replaced on its own (without replacing the whole pedal assembly).

    I just purchased for my 2017 Jeep Cherokee Sport an Accelerator Throttle Position Sensor model # SU16055 HOW DO YOU REPLACE? I've unscrewed the 3 bolts but how do I disconnect the sensor?

     @Cars Simplified most hella (audi/ vw/ skoda) ones use wipers in the (2013)
    its simple (pins are not in order... one 0.35 to 4.5 and one down 4.5 to 0.35) there 2 conections because of savety when one fails..
    2 times ground
    2 times 0.35 or something close to that to 4.5 volt depending on the position of the pedal
    2 times 5v in
    took some time for me to figure that out... newer ones use cipos system i think

      I am looking to wire in a inline throttle controller. It has the wrong plug and I can’t get another one.
      It’s a racechip xlr. It’s for a Mercedes going into a bmw.
      So you say 4 of the wire do the same thing? Is the other two power and ground?
      Thanks alex.

    When its replaced do you need to program that pedal to the ecu?

    • @CarsSimplified
      @CarsSimplified  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      More often than not, yes.
      The new one may have slightly different characteristics, and not quite give the same response as the old one, so the ECU or PCM needs to figure out what is different about it.

    I have a question. Why the car hesitates when rpm reach 1500 to 2000?
    What is the main reason? Can you help me to solve this.
    Thank you.

    Show how they come off the GTO! (Assuming this is from that)

    • @CarsSimplified
      @CarsSimplified  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would if I had to get in there, but this was from a Chrysler product. I don't want to mess with the GTO pedal and risk breaking it, because the pedals are no longer made from what I've heard.

      @@CarsSimplified Yeah, and they are made of unobtanium. It is a wear component that may end up bricking these cars. I hope some enthusiast comes up with a way of rebuilding them.

      Free to speak his mind now that he was no longer in Trump’s employ, on January 7, Bill Barr issued a public statement directly condemning his former boss. “Orchestrating a mob to pressure Congress is inexcusable. The president’s conduct yesterday was a betrayal of his office and supporters,” Barr said. In her resignation letter to Trump, DeVos wrote, “We should be highlighting and celebrating your Administration’s many accomplishments on behalf of the American people. Instead, we are left to clean up the mess caused by violent mob overrunning the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to undermine the people’s business. That behavior was unconscionable for our country. There is no mistaking the impact your rhetoric had on the situation, and it is the inflection point for me.” Former White House chief of staff, retired Marine Gen. John Kelly, said, "President Trump is the most flawed person I've ever known. The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me. The dishonesty, the transactional nature of every relationship, though it's more pathetic than anything else. He is the most flawed person I have ever met in my life," Gary Cohn, Trump's chief economic advisor, said, "It's worse than you can imagine. An idiot surrounded by clowns. Trump won't read anything--not one-page memos, not the brief policy papers; nothing. He gets up halfway through meetings with world leaders because he is bored. And his staff is no better. Kushner is an entitled baby who knows nothing. Bannon is an arrogant prick who thinks he's smarter than he is. Trump is less a person than a collection of terrible traits. No one will survive the first year but his family. I hate the work, but feel I need to stay because I'm the only person there with a clue what he's doing. The reason so few jobs have been filled is that they only accept people who pass ridiculous purity tests, even for midlevel policy-making jobs where the people will never see the light of day. I am in a constant state of shock and horror." Steve Bannon told Michael Wolff, "I cannot tell you how many times Trump has looked me straight in the eye and lied to me." If you like, I can quote General McMasters, John Bolton, General Mattis, and General
      Milley.
