Supposibly the whole foot pedal is what I was told because it comes as one . Who knows with the Ford Focus . Love the car just don't like the mechanical side of the Ford Focus . Wish sometimes I could just put a simple engine in it and let it run forever . The car is a trip . 3 rd Ford I've ever owned. Very well could be the last . Wish Ford could make me believe they make good vehicles . And I know they do . But the mechanical side of this Focus is a freaking trip . Should just cut out the floor board and make it my Flintstone car . LOL. Drives great when it wants to and goes into LIMP Mode way too quick over the craziest things that can give off so many codes . Nobody knows !! Heck the car of mine is like brand new ,no scratches, no dents , everything including the engine parts look brand new but I guess the 2014 Ford Focus is just a shell and thats it . Please Ford make me a believer before I go straight up Coo- Coo !! LOL . Too late !!😂
Great explanation.. im trying to fit a blipper, it works by giving slight throttle voltage when i downshift.. device only have plus and ground, would it works if connect it to aps1? Will it trigger fail safe? Will aps2 follow the slight voltage increase from tps1 without actually touching the pedal?
I think app caused limp mode in this dodge , now it has no compression in 4 cylinders two on each bank ,will limp mode cause miss timing leading to no compression? Please help
Good info. My vehicle Toyota 100 Series 1HDFTE seems have problem with APP and throtle. OBD scan shows all ok. How to investigate which part need service? Sometimes run smooth and ok but randomly rpm drop or even engine was off. Restart ok. But problem comes again randomly. Thank you.
Ok, chances are throttle and APO are good. Your problem is something else, as in an air fuel issue, injectors, ignition, etc. autodiagnosticsandpublishing.com/
You probably missed a spring. You're supposed to replace these. Cleaning won't do you good. I have a tool to test APP Sensors here www.autodiagnosticsandpublishing.com/ecm_reference_voltage.html
I've got a 2006 magnum with a 3.5 in it no codes on the dash but it surges at a constant speed or light throttle clears up when I give it more gas change the the electronic throttle body still doing it but it hooked up my scan tool did a live data with the ignition on car not running watched the "acc pedal e" chart slowly pressing the pedal down the percentage would increase but would go to 0 then back up and would hit zero a few more times till maxed out then went back to normal . Not throwing any codes either would it be the electric accelerator pedal?
Ok, I see your typical issue. This is exactly why I created the ELECTROTHROTTLE Tester. In the link below, look for the Blue-Voltage ELECTROTHROTTLE Bondle. That's exactly what you need to test this unit. Had you bought it before it would have paid for itself. www.autodiagnosticsandpublishing.com/etc_electrothrottle_electronic_throttle_tester.html
In a jeep wrangler jku 16 i am getting etc error if i install a pedal commander (aftermarket throttle controller) inline and use a cb radio pointing toward the throttle sensor ! If i use a CB radio connected to the vehicle and the antenna connected to the vehicle ground,, with a pedal commander installed, the cb radio will also trigger an ETC error and check engine will light up. Idle will increase. If i remove the pedal commander and use the cb radio,,, no etc error light... What can be the cause of our problem?
Take the pedal commander and through it in the garbage. It's picking up EMI or electromagnetic interference from the CB. This is a sure sign of bad design. Good luck. autodiagnosticsandpublishing.com
@@ADPTraining yes i have removed the pedal commander but i need to understand why it was working before but not anymore.. maybe i have damaged the ECU , or the throttle sensor.. if a layer redundancy in the pedal throttle is damaged, maybe i will need to replace the pedal throttle just in case .. but it is $200

@ 2:00 you have 5v & ground pins identified and @ 3:10 you have 5v & ground pins identified in a different position. What gives? Are you working with two different models for the video? SUBSCRIBED
Watch carefully, on the second take the second ground is interchanged. The reason is obvious, one POT tracks inversely to the other, which is the idea for redundancy and reject IMI or interference.
The P2122 OBD-II trouble, or fault, code means that the vehicle's on-board computer has detected low voltage in the throttle position sensor (TPS), which is usually below 0.17 volts. You can test this TPS by using my ELECTROTHROTTLE and the BLUE VOLTAGE found here. autodiagnosticsandpublishing.com/
So why are u on the internet asking or looking for advice if you're just going to second guess his expertise or go right to some negative remarks and let's just say he is reading from a manual of some sort obviously you or nobody else on here is reading from that same manual because if so all the many appreciative people that's on his page viewing his video are thankful and it doesn't matter how a person relay or deliver the message the only thing that matters is that he or she does and the people are able to pick up what the messenger is putting down for us hungry hounds

What if you replace it and the fault still persists? The accelerator not responding when depressed the pedal
You need the Electrothrottle and blue voltage.

Do you have to replace the whole pedal or just the sensor

I am wondering if this issue can cause a 2500hd silverado to lose power and acceleration?

If it has cylinder deactivation, maybe. Normally no it won't.
my Vito cuts out completely when accelerating hard and only when the engine is warmed up can this be the app sensor fault ?
