Thats great explanation. I have had this problem for a year and i have always thought it was the throttle position sensor. The car always indicated an Injector problem. Just after buying the TPS, i found this explanation. So i have to buy this too!!!

Hi! Wow this was exactly the video I was needing!!! My car hasn't been throwing a code but it shows in mode 6.. accelerator pedal position sensor D. I was looking for the part needed to fix this but I see 3 different parts, I'm not sure which I need?! Is this a hard thing to fix? Ahh! Lol. Thanks!

2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8L- It was doing at least some of those symptoms such as stay in idle / low power no matter how much i floored pedal . For over a year . Tried a couple shops they didn't fix it . One of them replaced Throttle position sensor body using OEM Hitachi part . Another " recalibrated " my ECM . finally left me stranded one day . Found out fuel pump wasn't pumping so replaced both relay and pump . If it's the accelerator sensor then why wasn't pump working ? Just today still doing same thing and took it to car dealer and they checked it . Tech confirmed codes for throttle body and throttle position sensor . .. Then they said to replace accelerator pedal sensor and linkage ??

I had this problem with a 2007 Chevy Colorado starting last year. One day I pulled into a parking lot and came back and started the truck and it idol super high at start and was trying to cool down the temperature and it knee jerked me into hitting the brake and every since then the truck has been overheating in idol. It showed a misinformation code error for the first couple months. So disconnected the battery and no more code showed up but it still has problems cooling down in idol. Thermastat has been replaced twice and it was by GM parts store. I had the temperature Sensor replace and the Fan Clutch replace with no results. I personally cleaned out the throttle body. The resisters for the fan blowers are bad. I replaced the lower resister and it worked for a week and then burned out. I am thinking that a short in the system could be this that may have affected the APP Sensor while in idol.?? The mechanic I use is also confused on what could cause this problem without going to the dealership to get a proper Diagnostics. Of which they could keep my vehicle up to a week to get back and cost a fortune after they are done.
