  • This video shows you how to change the lightbulb in the ceiling fan. Changing the lightbulb in a ceiling fan is simple. First, make sure the light switch at the wall is turned off. Next, you will need to remove the glass dome over the ceiling fan light bulb. Most ceiling fans have three screws that hold the glass dome in place. You need to loosen two of the screws to be able to remove the glass dome over the ceiling, fan light bulb. Once it’s been removed, then unscrew the bad lightbulb and replace it with a good light bulb, then put the glass dome over the light bulb on your ceiling, fan, And you are done. It is very easy to change the light bulb on a ceiling fan, and this video shows you exactly how to replace the light bulb on a ceiling fan.

    What size of the light bulb? Does this use E26 (A19)? I think I have this same ceiling fan.

    What is that white switch up top?

      That one reverses the fan, so it blows in the opposite direction.

      @@hoohoohoblin That will come handy for circulating radiator heat on colder days.

      I’m sure somebody makes different shape to replacements. They probably have them at Home Depot.

    I unscrewed the entire light and glass cover itself and it sparked. I’m curious if I snapped a wire or can I just screw it back in

      Maybe screw it back on and install a working bulb and see if it turns on. Should be fine if it does.

    I've got the same kind of ceiling fan in my bedroom. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I see you replaced the bulb with an LED. I was under the impression that these shouldn't be used in enclosed spaces as they heat up and burn out quicker. Have you run into this?

    • @hoohoohoblin
      @hoohoohoblin  ปีที่แล้ว

      No. It’s been fine so far. They don’t generate much heat, so I don’t see how they could get hot.

      You can use any standard LED where an incandescent would be used except dryer or oven.
