    I actually own this car, and it quick, quiet, refined, comfortable, has power where you need it. It is heavy but feels substantial and has a feeling of quality. It is a Ford, but you know what? I really like Ford

    So I have owned this v-6 fusion for about 12 months...it's absolutely the best driver I've had for the money...gets about 25mph...very quick, very economical, very quiet...just love it for the price/performance entry points...I would eventually swap out the exhaust for something a little louder but that's just me. Only thing I don't really like is the gray interior...no other options available...but other than that the sync 3 is wonderful

      Alexander Breeze www.livernoismotorsports.com/product/LPP631145 stage 1 is 50hp gain nearly and stage 2 is nearly 100 although it's $600 not $500 just scroll down a little bit and it shows all the dyno sheets from it. but I'm sure you can get a dyno tune to get more hp out of it.

    Good review, compared to the Accord v6 or The Camry v6 or Kia Optima or The Altima this car beat all those car's in handling and in 0 to 60 times. Very Good materials and cabin noise is great. Yes the Car's weight is a hard to understand for a misize but it's still pretty quick. I test drove this car before 4 month's ago.

    Drive it for 1000 miles and break in the Ecoboost. That, plus using 93 octane will impress and keep up with almost any cars on the road. What a sleeper! Camrys and Sonatas pull up and try to race me, but it takes just a few seconds for them to realize this car is way out of their league.

    Just took delivery of a 2014 (lease return w/ 32k miles) Ford Fusion Titanium AWD w/ 2.0 liter ecoboost, and I'm loving it. The more I drive it, the more it reminds me (favorably) of a newer, faster, less expensive version of the 1999 Audi A6 Quattro I owned some years back. Very stable on the highway, very stable cornering, good power (Ford claims 240 hp with 87 octane for the 2.0 ecoboost, BUT they also state in the owner's manual that the engine will deliver better performance with higher octane gas.) Considering a 9.3:1 compression ratio with twin turbos and variable valve timing, this makes sense. Drove over to Shell, and filled the tank w/ 91 octane; I noticed better acceleration immediately -- cheapest, quickest, easiest "performance mod" going ;). Also have to say I'm happy that my 2014 Titanium AWD weighs 440lbs less than the 2017 Sport. All that extra weight negates most of the 85hp increase over the 2.0l engine. I think Ford is thinking of the Fusion Sport as a competitor with the 3.0 A6. Performance and features are very similar for about $15k less.

    I was going to get a used Audi s4. Ended up going with the Fusion Sport and am pretty happy with it. Yes its not a luxury car like the Audi but at the end of the day youll be able to put your money into actually modding the car instead of fixing it when shit goes wrong with the Audi.

    3 years late... but I am looking into purchasing this model all decked out (msrp 42k) for 23k from a certified pre owned ford dealership. I’ve been watching many reviews and I think you nailed it when you said if you treat this car as a sport, rather than a ST or RS, you cannot be disappointed. At 23k I think it is a steal, especially with only 22k miles.

  • @Speedaholics

    I feel like it's an incomplete sport sedan. It has decent power but nothing besides that is rather sporty. Give it some more seat bolstering, maybe bigger brakes, sportier trans, more aggressive styling, and you'd have a solid competitor to GM and Dodge sport sedans.

    • @shawnprickett4099
      @shawnprickett4099 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trevon Adams yeah but you can't compare this to the Chevy SS at all this car costs 33-40 max where as a SS starts at 40-50 and is obviously a better car. The charger rt competes with this though.

    • @Speedaholics
      @Speedaholics 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I feel like one of two things happened here. Either Ford didnt quite understand what people wanted in a sportier Fusion, or people didnt understand what Ford was trying to do with the Fusion sport. I think people expected something far quicker and more dramatic. I dont think this is supposed to be an ATS competitor, but rather an A4. Its sport in the way the Sonata Sport is. Its just quicker nice daily car to drive. That and they need it to not be the MKZ 3.0tAWD. Imagine if it had that set up tuned though. I think a Fusion RS or ST would be good. Id really like to see the 3.0t and AWD from the MKZ, and the rotary knob to go away, and special seats. 5 sec ish 0-60. high 12. Yes please.

    Hey Matt, I can tell you from first hand experience you aren't missing anything by having the Sync 3 without built in NAV. I rented a Ford Explorer Limited which had Sync 3 with built in NAV. I ended up using Google Maps via Android Auto nearly the entire trip. The only times I did not use Google Maps via Android Auto for Navigation were the few times when for whatever reason my phone would not sync up. I never once had issues finding an address using Android Auto via Google Maps and there were at least two separate occasions where the Sync 3 provided Navigation could not locate the address at all. I was not out in the sticks either, I was in a major city.

    Overall it's a great car. The only issue that remains is the high depreciation of fusions. If you really want it then wait till 2018 model come up then go and buy a used low mileage 2017 model.

  • @dre5491

    The best bang for the buck for the Sport is get one with minimal options. Mine stickered for $35k. I got it for $30k and ,0.0% financing can't beat. Its not the fastest car in the world but it is a very fun car. Base on them is $32k and it still has the magnetic dampers, which is unheard of in the sub $40k range.

    So the mentality of the car is basically the same as my old Mondeo ST220, wasn't amazing to 60.... BUT rolling, yes it would shock posher badges! The ST220 would pull really well on the motorway. I absolutely love the look of this car, really hope the UK gets this??? Would be great to see a fast Mondeo back in Europe again. Not sure what Ford would call it here, Mondeo ST or a Mondeo Sport?? Also I wonder if Mountune will do a performance upgrade package for this, as its a ecoboost turbo??? I think a mountune cat-back system would go down well on this, the OEM muffler is huge, the standard exhaust is just too quiet! But nice review on this motor, again just hope we get it.

      thuglifezeem716 rwd makes car "feel" faster. I'll tell you what this car is faster then the Taurus sho I had with similar mods. And there wasn't an rt that could touch me. From a dig in the real world awd is a much bigger advantage than on paper. Ive raced a few scat packs from a dig with the sho at stage 2 and would walk away from them 0-130 then let off all those chargers and challengers do is spin with stock tires. For less money then the tires alone you can get a tune and walk everything in its class and even above. Mid 12s is bmw m3 times at the drag strip and this car is half of the price. HALF! and it's awd. Just a really good deal especially compared to its competitors like the camry and Accord. Both hitting 40k for a turbo 4cylinder or a na v6 down 100+ tq and 25 hp.

    • @Andrew_182
      @Andrew_182 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wedow
      The Sport is not faster than the SHO stock to stock or mod to mod. Fastest 93 oct tuned Sports are in the mid 12s. fastest 93 oct tuned SHOs are in the low 12s. The SHO is down 30 ft/lbs, but has 40 more hp and the power comes on much sooner (350 ft/lbs at 1500-5500 rpm for the SHO compared to 380 ft/lbs at 3500-5500rpm). And, the 3.5l gains more from a tune as well. They're cool cars, but the gearing, torque management, and smaller displacement really hold it back compared to the SHO.
      It would be awesome if Ford gave the Fusion Sport the ST treatment they're giving the formerly Edge Sport that has the same powertrain. I think a bump in power and an 8 speed (not to mention the better brakes and suspension) would do wonders for the FuSpo

    Decided to watch this video after your live stream. I've never been in a Fusion or seen the interior. I wish Ford would bring back their sedans. I also came to this video to ask, why do fusion drivers drive like they were 15 minutes late to work 40 minutes ago and they are trying to make up time? They are almost as bad as nissan altima drivers. Good review though. I did chuckle a little bit when you were talking about SYNC 3 knowing how good SYNC 4(A) is (a little slow at times though).

      J30A4V6er I know that, I watched the video. I'm saying that it should a real tech next to speedometer like every other car. Not some digital bullshit you have to scroll through menus to get to.

    He is one of my favorite people who reviews cars. That said, I also know he is a major Ford fanboy. I agree with plenty of the things he raved about when it came to looks and some of the build quality. But that's where it ends for me, because that's what Ford sells you on, looks a little bit of cabin quality. Now that's fine for many people. A lot of people only keep their cars between 1 to 3 years and have the warranty to protect them. But there are many people that can't afford that. Many people make that investment and plan to get many years out of that car. My point is, if you put hard miles on you're car and you are looking to have this car for a long time, this will not be the car for you. My suggestion to people like that is to be smart and go with the Accord, Camry, Sonata. With those cars there, if you take care of the maintenance properly you will get a car that last a really long time. You will take a risk with a Fusion.

      subaruwrxfan Don't get me wrong, I agree with you in many ways. Did not drive the new sport, but did drive my brothers 2015 titanium. Also have driven or rode in the Optima, Sonata, Accord, and Camry. Now not all of them were upper trim levels, but in comparison to what I did get to experience. The Fusion was probably my favorite to drive and be in.

    What car enthusiast would buy a car with a "knob" for changing gears?

  • @jasonredepenning
    @jasonredepenning 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This car should have been the Taurus. What they call the Taurus now is just too big to be a SHO. However I hope they put the 3.5eco in it. That would be a nice pull.

    Would you still consider this one of your favorite reviews? Also, would you still consider this car? I have a 15 fusion Ecoboost and I love it. It's charcoal gray with charcoal leather interior. Fully loaded. I kinda wanna get the sport as my next car.

      I've driven every fusion model, and i own a sport. I can safely say that the sport is the best fusion that ford ever made. But if i was in your shoes, and maybe didnt need awd, id buy a kia stinger GT for around the same price. The fusion sport isnt a ton faster than a regular fusion, just quicker. But if you do decide to get a sport, i promise you that you wont regret it.
