Hard to find a lot of detail around this top. Well done video. I purchased a top from a person who had a '95 Cobra that got T-boned (hard top not on the car in the accident) and was going to use it on my '00 GT. It would be an easy mod to fit the '94 - '04 Mustang convertibles, but I have since decided not to use it and going to sell the top with the cover, stand, interior panels to recover my investment. Too many other projects and no space. Nice to see the info on this.
I have the carrier and the VHS tape that came with the Cobra. I’m going to get it it put on a USB and upload it on here for some nostalgia. I’ve never seen that video on TH-cam before.
I remember seeing this option on the Cobra in magazines back when they were new. Wonder how much these hard top option Cobra's will get for prices as times goes on.
I agree but the smooth sleek rounded roofline of the sn mustangs r one of the sexiest parts of it...I believe that may be why they never had sunroofs or targa tops etc..If u see one that has an aftermarket sunroof it looks way out of place because of the rounded nature of the roofline...also this is a huge reason the verts don’t look as nice...
Aye yall in the comments! Talk to me for a second, I just purchased a 94 GT car, tell me why these hard tops won’t fit a GT car? Can it be made to fit with minimal modding? I am a 25 year mechanic and body man. Thanks for your time
The aftermarket company looks like it will fit all convertibles. The ford piece was engineered to also have a mount near the windshield (as seen in the video). It was only offered on the Cobra and some GTs that got away but that’s the only reason it was Cobra only.
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage I didnt see your reply, sorry mate. I understand, ill have to do some research on it, cause I have a vert, and was wondering if a hard top option came for the GTs. Thanks again!

Have you sold it yet?

Hey are you saying you have the carrier but not the car? I have the car but I'm missing the carrier, if you're interested in selling it.
Did you ever upload? I would love to see the install video.
Amazing option! I bought a 94 Cobra but I never new that this top was available from Ford. Great video Dan!
Those factory ones r really nice...I’d love a convert with one of those...
I had one of the 499 cobras with this option- sold it like 17 years ago, should have kept it

Not much, no market for them despite its rarity.
@@ronaldswangler2538 disagree 100%
@@Lethal_Venomdude they're already 27 years old, 95 hardtop cobras fetch more money. The whole idea is pretty stupid.
@@ronaldswangler2538 so is your reply
@@Lethal_Venom why aren't they worth anything now then genius?
This is cool, never knew they did something like this
Dam I have a convertible and been wanting to make it a hard top but can't find anything
Never liked Verts but always wished Ford had a Targa option on the new edge.

The verts look good lowered with classic cobra rims, i never liked the stock factory ride height.
Kool, I'll buy one, thanks!!!
Awesome looks very cool 😎
Learned alot!!
Still for sale?

Will this fit a GT? Or is it strictly for the cobra?
