Years ago as a stay at home mom for three active little girls, I stressed “tidy” over “clean. The floors may have dust bunnies and dog hair, but the kitchen counters were clear, the dishes clean, the dining table pretty, beds made, laundry either in the basement or folded in the bedrooms, and any papers were in a neat stack. It helped when we got a dog who vacuumed up all the crumbs under the table!!
Andrea, I learnt and extra tip from another TH-camr Wyse Guide. For the roasted potatoes, he used similar spices but put in cornstarch into the mix. It crisps up the potatoes on the outside yet the insides are melt in your mouth soft. He roasted them in a 425 degree oven and they cook quicker too. Also while the potatoes are hot grate fresh Parmesan cheese on top. DELICIOUS!
Clean as you go... and a picked up house was my mothers mantra. People ask me also how my house always looks clean. I say its picked up. The floors need mopping , the windows need washing... but the kitchen sink is clean and empty, the counters clean, the shoes, newspapers, and toys put away. It makes a huge difference!!! And asparagus and mushroom quiche is my favorite to make . The baked berry rolls look amazing.
You most definitely did NOT….waste $14. I absolutely…LOVE that UNIQUE TREASURE!!! You will find the perfect spot to either display it or use it. Enjoy that BEAUTY!!! Thank you for sharing your BEAUTIFUL & COZY home!!!🏠 I LOVE your channel!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
I learned early that diligence is the key to keeping the home tidy. Here a little, there a little clean / tidy on a regular basis keeps things from getting out of control. Having a designated place for everyday things also helps.
There’s ALWAYS something to do for those privileged to be at home full time…. It may not be what we want to do 😂 but there’s a corner to tidy up!!! Thank you for encouraging us!
Loved all your unusual finds. If you still have it, use the old lining that was in the shopping basket and use it as a template to make a new lining in say, gingham or a floral fabric that you love. Sheena xx
I love your sweet videos. When I open TH-cam and I see you have posted I ALWAYS choose your video first. I know you will always have great ideas, recipes and sweet scripture.
Made me laugh when your cat didn't move while making the bed...so cute! I love the paper roll clip board!! Nice for your boys to use as a drawing board too.
YEAH! Im in yoru club. I have been retired ofr almost 3 yrs. and a am NEVER bored at home. Thee is ALWAYS something to do. IN fact, there doesn't ever seem to be enough daylight time for me. But I love everything about homemaking. Loving my family, by creating a cozy and inviting home, brings me so much joy. And making godo food that is both tasty adn good for us.
The inside of a cupboard door or a pantry door would be a good spot for your note pad . That way you could write down what you find yourself needing while cooking/baking. Just a thought.
I did this with a dry erase board w/ the magnetic erasers that the markers clip into n plus have magnets to put notes on it in my office closet, sooo helpful I can let the door opened or closed, great idea for Andrea, she definitely has options! 😊❤️🎁💕⭐️
I have one of those paper holders and I do have it in my kitchen, when the kids were home I use to write the menu down on it so they new what we were having for dinner, Now I just write a scripture or a saying on it monthly. I do really like it. I am sure you will find the perfect place for it. Yes I also feel kids need a few chores so that they know that they also have to pick up after themselves, I always said I am not the only one who lives in our home. I made them realize that it was their home and they needed to help out.
So wise sage advice honey from the word of God! You definitely have achieved a new sub with me. I enjoyed your content so much, I’m definitely going to try some of these recipes! Beautiful home and God bless you and your family 🙏😍
Since you love asparagus, I’m going to tell you this recipe my mom fixed when we were young kids….. I’m 71 so this recipes quite old. 😂 You make a cream sauce for how many people you’re gonna be serving put in hard boiled eggs … use your judgment … for five in our family she did 4-5 Then you cook the asparagus in the microwave… back in the day, she use can . Then put it in with the hard boiled eggs in the cream sauce . Make sure you have some salt pepper and garlic in it. Then my mom would take buttered toast and cut it in little pieces on our plate and pour that cream sauce, egg asparagus mixture on top of that. I fix that at least once a week..❤ Especially wonderful on a cold, snowy winter night .
You have such a lovely authentic, chilled channel. So many lovely aspects - from your delicious cooking to how you style your beautiful home. All gorgeous! 👏🏻🇬🇧
Your house is soooooooooooooooo beautiful n peaceful............ the combination of materials, the wood, the glass, ceramic, fabric goes so well with the walls............ and the most important is 'lack of any synthetic material throughout the house including kitchen.......
My Mom always taught my brother and I to pick up as you go.You may not have time to clean but as long as the kitchen and bathrooms are clean the rest will wait.Love your video's.
The paper roll is beautiful and functional. You could use it in the kitchen to write little reminders. I agree with you on cleaning the kitchen after each meal and tidying daily . It makes it so much easier to clean. ❤️❤️
I loved the note board hanging in the office on the wall by the desk. It is so cute. Loved this type of video. I especially love when you cook and do home things.
First time watching and really enjoyed it, your food looked so delicious. Your home is lovely, and as you were going around, it shows that you have put a lot of hard work into it. That bag you got, try using an old tea towel and stitch that in and use that as a new liner, they work really well. I used a clear thread for the stitching (hand). That large paper roll you bought from the thrift shop was expensive at £14, don't think I Would have got that, but that's just me. Will look out for you again. 🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾💖
Your videos are always so cheery and uplifting! I love watching while doing my dishes😊Would you mind sharing where you got your living room rug from?!? It's so lovely!
Not only do I clean long before the guests come, but, because I need to budget my septuagenarian energy, I set the table the day before. I love to honor my guests by setting a beautiful table but it's time and energy intensive.
I love the thrifted hats and the message board. It looks like the one by Hearth and Hand Magnolia. It would be cute for grocery lists or honey do lists. I had 4 kids and I firmly believe in giving children chores. It not only teaches them to take care of themselves later in life but gives them a feeling of accomplishment and helps them respect their surroundings. Have a blessed weekend.
I know I've said it so many times but I'll say it again. Your home is absolutely my dream. It's so cozy and inviting, I love how you decorate too. You are amazing! Thanks for the chicken recipe, I can't wait to try it! I strongly believe in chores for children, mine always had them as well. ❤
Oh my God I love every single piece of your house so unique I like to play video over and over thank you for those recipes may the Lord bless your family
Ialso believe in giving children chores as it makes the responsible adults. I had chores to do as a child and now I'm like you Andrea.... always looking for something to do to keep myself busy and my home in order. I always enjoy your videos as they're so informative and encouraging! 🙏🤍👍
Love the pad with the paper roll, I’m sure you’ll find the perfect use for it. In my house I always don’t get a chance to do a deep clean but I know my house is tidy..pick up after every meal etc. I have serve arthritis and my thing is to do one chore a day and that way things stay tidy. God bless. My chore today is to make bread .
I’m sorry about your arthritis. My mom has that too. It makes things tough but I love your outlook. And the smell of fresh bread is always so comforting, isn’t it? 😊
@@PineandProspectHome I was raised that as women we need to feed our families the best way we can, and in saying that I don’t always get to make bread but I try every week. I love the way you raise your family. God Bless.
I 100% agree.. if the children make the mess our pull things out, then they should clean it up or pick it up. And they definitely should have chores, even its its simple things. I've never tried asparagus with eggs 🤷♀️ I usually just cover mine with olive oil, sea salt, pepper and parmesan.. sometimes I'll cut up some cherry tomatoes too. The Parmesan makes it so crunchy, yet i don't overcook so its still tender on the inside. Its really good with the tomatoes also! I love it about any way you cook it😄 I would hang that piece in the kitchen. You could use it for running lists, reminders, quick notes like when on a phone call.. many different uses! So I don't think you wasted your money😉 Thanks for the recipes, they all sound and look so yummy!
Love your little market bag and yes, I would cut out the old fabric as well. If you don't like the inside, you can hot glue a reusable/wipeable bag inside. Now it's a "custom" market bag. :) Also the little paper roll board is adorable. I would put a verse in script (black ink or white) and use it as art anywhere in the house (welcome sign, wi-fi password in the guest room, "rules & reminders" in the school area; so many options.
I buy decor items for my home & then sometimes have to wander through the whole house holding them & looking for a place to put them - lol - but I find that preferable to not buying something I really like & then I regret it & can’t get it out of my mind ! Your chicken looked really good - I sometimes do chicken breasts or tenders with Hidden Valley Ranch dry dressing mix on them - probably not all totally healthy ingredients in it, but a little bit adds a lot of flavor - I agree that keeping the house tidy is more important than being able to eat off the floor ! Years ago, when I was first married, I came to the conclusion that I never wanted to be embarrassed if someone knocked on my door unexpectedly & I think having things picked up makes the best first impression - greetings from sunny Central Florida 😎
I paused my morning to finish my coffee and loved spending your day with you. Thank you for your beautiful witness of homemaking. The clipboard is super cool! I'll try not to be jealous. ❤️
You have learned such valuable info early in your life. For so many years I thought everything HAD to be perfect when having company over even if it was family. By the time I sat down to eat I couldn't I was so exhausted.
I LOVE YOUR HOME. Thanks for sharing another great video. I absolutely agree with kids having chores. My 13 year old finds it super helpful to have her chores list on the board.
Hi Andrea 🤗 I have to tell u that was my moms secret to making her house always look so tidy was keeping it picked up 🤪 when my kids were small they knew whatever mess they made they were the ones that were n charge of the clean up. I always enjoy when u show all the rooms n ur home I absolutely love ur taste so homey & warm ❤️ Thank u so much for sharing all ur recipes!!!!
I cringed when you served eggs and asparagus, but I just watched Elise Buch do the same in her Denmark home. So there must be something to it! Thanks for another great video.
...I had to smile when she was speaking about the Asparagus and Eggs.... I've eaten that fir Decades... since my 20's, ..Asparagus is my favourite vegetable.
Love the video, as well as keeping things real. If anyone knows, keeping a home is a daily routine, if we live in our homes. Going to make my potatoes as you showed us. I have never served eggs with asparagus, I serve mashed or sliced avocados with our eggs. Love staying busy but I have to remember to take care of me. Like hanging straw hats every where. Now as for the nice memo board, I have my hanging in our mud room where I jot things down that I have to do or pick up on my next trip into town. Have a blessed weekend.💐🥰✝️☀️🏠
As usual a wonderful video!! Thank you for all the great recipe ideas! I especially like the breakfast potato idea! Your home is lovely. The clip board was a great find. You'll no doubt find a useful place to put it. Thank you for sharing your home and recipe ideas!!
Ok I didn’t know what to make for dinner and that chicken looks perfect! Thank you for making my life easier! And you definitely should have bought that adorable paper clipboard. Soooo cute!
Good morning Andrea, I too love asparagus and eggs. I usually add some grated parmesan after I take them out of the oven, very delicious. They remind me of my Mom who passed away a few years ago, she'd always make scrambled eggs with asparagus every Easter morning, and I still carry on that tradition as well. It's so wonderful that you are teaching your boys to clean up their toys and that they have chores to do. I always made my children do the same and I am happy to report they grew into 3 responsible adults 😊. I hope you have a lovely day. I'd love to see a future video of you visiting your local Farmer's market using your thrift store bag.
Thank you for the chicken recipe. We have a rule in our house, we can’t buy something for our home unless we have a spot for it. The problem is 9 times out of 10, it doesn’t look good there and we have to look around until we find a spot for it lol! Your $14 item is cute - hope you find the perfect spot for it!
Love your recipes, kefir is the best probiotic that you can drink, the only thing I see honey is not recommended to mix with kefir because it’s antibacterial may be you can put any dry fruit like dates, raisins, cherry etc , also bananas or simply sugar.
Hi, this is the first time on your channel. I just found a great brioche cinnamon roll recipe that I fell in love with. I’ll have to try putting white sugar blueberries instead of the brown sugar cinnamon. Thanks!!!
Hello Andrea. I love the recipes. I have tried some of them. I love banana bread and all the recipes I find on your blog. I loved the reflection at the beginning of the video. Comparison is the worst enemy of joy. Wise words from the sacred scriptures. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. Blessed Friday and weekend ❤🥰🌹
I love your videos. Also I liked the Brown Paper Holder you thrifted. I’m sure you’re going to find the perfect spot for it. Many Blessings to you and your family. 🙏💖🙏
$14 Paper Roll thing: I would keep it in the kitchen, and write a lovely poem our bible verse on it... Not sure if your boys have bible memory verses to memorize for home school or Sunday School, but you could write a bible verse on it for them to read and see every day when you are homeschooling at your kitchen table...then every Monday, pull it down, rip off...and write a new one on there!
...I absolutely agree with children having g Age Appropriate Chores...( I call it Homecaring)... because it teaches Respect for ones' belongings, as well as Respect for the Home they live in, it teaches Responsibility and also it is thier Contribution to Family Life. I explained to my Daughters that they had certain Responsibilities " ,being a member of this Family " ..." .Mom is not your Personal Maid, " lol. I worked part-time I cooked a lot, we did a lot of fun things, went places .. they understood that Mom was not going to do EVERYTHING. lol. I have a daughter that still loves to vacuum, lol. ( it was one of her things she chose as a chore when younger ). My oldest daughter is the one who has her kitchen cleaned every night, and her home is Company ready almost all the time, lol. My middle daughter is the Organized one , she has a gift for that. I love Asparagus and Eggs, it is not " weird .""..; I've been eating Asparagus with Eggs Since I was in my late 20's. Decades. Lol. .. because my FAVOURITE Omelet is Ham, Asparagus and Swiss cheese. So delish. I agree... make food you're familiar with , enjoying the Company is the important thing.... Not having a perfect home, just a Home that is Tidy, welcoming ,and inviting. .. that is what matters. Lovely Video. Thank you Miss Andrea.
I just found your channel today. I LOVE you home! Its so cutely decorated!! Im stuck on decorating my house. Its big and open and I just cant figure it out.
I bought one of those paper holders like that for my sister in law in Ohio who crafts... I thought it was so beautiful and useful. So I personally think $14 was fabulous! 🥰 I hope your husband and boys value and appreciate you and all of your hard work and love you put into their home. I feel calmed by your videos and put back to my roots. Be you, you're amazing. 🤗
I feel like I have seen that paper board from Joanna Gaines’s Target line so I’m not surprised it was $45. You could hang it in a bathroom and just write something cute or a verse on it? That would be pretty.
New to your Chanel you could have used the inner of your bag as a pattern for a new one not sure if you sew you seem able to do most everything 😊 lovely house 😊
It's Saturday and I just got notice that it's Jo's birthday so Magnolia is having a 20% off sale on their website and your thrift shop find is on it. I just saw that exact paper holder. Thought I'd let you know for when you need refill paper.
I make that chicken at least once a week, it’s a family favorite at my house!!! Also I’m like you, I never get bored of being home, there’s always something to do!! 😊
Hi Andrea, Thank You for sharing another Beautiful video with us. Your thrift finds that you shared, are super cute, especially that little teddy bear. 😍 Sweetheart, I am sure that you will find the perfect spot to hang your little treasure. It is adorable, and I agree that it would look super cute in your kitchen area. Andrea, I Truly appreciate You, and your thoughtfulness, also Thank You for the reminder of being conscience of the "Martha Mentality." Thank You once again Sweetheart, for the Wonderful videos that You share with us. By the way, the food items that you prepared, looked Amazing. 😊 Lord willing, until next time. 🙏🏾 Love In Christ, Paula
Such a great video Andrea and thank u so much for sharing! I really appreciate the recipes, everything looks delicious! I agree on children learning how to help clean up the house n learning to put things back and to help pitch in on household tasks since families all live there in their homes, it’s not a one person job and if only the female does it, could get to burnout real quick plus u need time too to do other things as well! There is a comment on here about hanging your notepad rolled paper item ( lol I don’t know what it’s called🤷♀️) I really like it, but she suggested u put it inside a cupboard door, or my suggestion is perhaps if u can’t find another great space, to put it inside a closet door that u don’t mind leaving hang open a little bit, in a room u would definitely use it in, like I have a dry erase board with the magnets etc. inside my office closet door, that way, I can jot notes n use magnets for the papers I need to get to later etc. n then leave it open while working in the room n then when done just close the door! It’s so very helpful n convenient n quick to put away, just a suggestion but I am sure u just taking it around n trying different places u will find the perfect spot, I do that as well! Enjoy! 😊❤️🎁💕⭐️
I'd hang that in the kitchen to jot down my grocery and errand lists. I have an old chalkboard on my pantry door to jot things down and then take a picture of it when I run my errands.
I really agree with giving children chores. It helps them transition into responsible adults 👍👍
Yes it does!😊
As a preschool teacher yes yes yes and it helps with clean up time!! Lol

I have a tidy/clean home as well...and when people remark how clean my house is, or how does my house stay so clean...my reply is... "I cleaned it!"
It’s not rocket science, is it? People who don’t ‘pick up and put away’ will always have messy homes that look dirty.
You most definitely did NOT….waste $14.
I absolutely…LOVE that UNIQUE TREASURE!!!
You will find the perfect spot to either display it or use it.
Enjoy that BEAUTY!!!

Thanks!! 😊

The teddy bear is adorable. The paper roll was probably too pricey, but, I love it. I’d probably put it in kitchen to jot down a grocery list.
Loved this video, so calming and relaxing and motivated me to slowly start cleaning my house 😊
Thank you!! 😊
Adorable thrift finds!!! I’ve been looking for a similar market bag. So glad to see you found one!
That is a great thrift store find, so cute I would hand in my kitchen somewhere.
I cringed when you served eggs and asparagus, but I just watched Elise Buch do the same in her Denmark home. So there must be something to it! Thanks for another great video.
Love your home and videos!!
Can you believe Cami is moving??
...I had to smile when she was speaking about the Asparagus and Eggs.... I've eaten that fir Decades... since my 20's, ..Asparagus is my favourite vegetable.
Hi Andrea I was so excited to see you and your family in the magazine modern farm house.
Thank you and thanks for the ideas! 😊
As usual a wonderful video!! Thank you for all the great recipe ideas! I especially like the breakfast potato idea! Your home is lovely. The clip board was a great find. You'll no doubt find a useful place to put it. Thank you for sharing your home and recipe ideas!!
Thank you so much! 😊
Food all looked delicious and ur home is so pretty and comfortable looking.
I am sorry to hear about your mom. I’m sure you miss her terribly. Thank you for your kind words and for the idea for a future video! 😊
You have a pretty house. Very warm and cozy.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the recipes! 😊
I love your videos. Also I liked the Brown Paper Holder you thrifted. I’m sure you’re going to find the perfect spot for it. Many Blessings to you and your family. 🙏💖🙏
Thank you so much! 😊
Wow your home is so beautiful!
The cat was so well placed and color coordinated!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video & it was motivating as well! Please do more recipe/cooking segments. Love these recipes!!
Thank you! I will! 😊
I just found your channel today. I LOVE you home! Its so cutely decorated!! Im stuck on decorating my house. Its big and open and I just cant figure it out.
What a great breakfast idea! I so look forward to your sharing recipes. Thanks so much.
Thank you!! 😊
Yummy your foods looked delicious Z! Love your finds!
My daughter uses her board to write out what the meals are for the week.
The bear is so perfect!
Isn’t he? 😊😊
Thank you for your lovely channel. Please tell me about your cutting board holder. I have never seen anything like it! - Nora
Love your videos so much!! Keep them coming
It's Saturday and I just got notice that it's Jo's birthday so Magnolia is having a 20% off sale on their website and your thrift shop find is on it. I just saw that exact paper holder. Thought I'd let you know for when you need refill paper.
hey girl- loved the video!😀😉 You are such an inspiration☺ yummy food😋such a cute bear to. and always enjoy seeing the boys😁 have a wonderful weekend🥰
I make that chicken at least once a week, it’s a family favorite at my house!!! Also I’m like you, I never get bored of being home, there’s always something to do!! 😊
Likewise on both counts ❤

Would you share where you bought your gold horizontal cross necklace? I love it!
Enjoy! 😊❤️🎁💕⭐️
Thank you! And thanks for the idea!! 😊
Andrea, sure anytime, happy to help! 😊❤️🎁💕⭐️
I'd hang that in the kitchen to jot down my grocery and errand lists. I have an old chalkboard on my pantry door to jot things down and then take a picture of it when I run my errands.
Great idea! 😊
Do you have a link for your blinds? They are just so perfect ❤❤❤thank you in advance
