    An older believer and mom, grandma, here… PLEASE don’t just read your Bible in the morning before your children awaken. READ YOUR BIBLE QUIETLY IN FRONT OF YOUR CHILDREN. It will give them a good example without you having to say a word. Your children will see you praying and seeking the Lord without it being blessing the food or praying with them/instructing them. They’ll see you studying the Bible and someday will recall you doing that. More is caught than taught…and I wish someone had told me the same advice when mine were young.

I locked myself in my room and opened my phone, one of my kids had a video up so I closed it and the first video I seen was yours. Now 20 minutes later I have hope and a smile on my face. I can't thank you enough for blessing me with this information and getting my mindset back on track! ❤❤❤Many blessings to you and your family!

    I am blessed to have watched this beautiful video. As I am in a waiting season for my husband to come into the life God has given me. This video has taught me how to be a wife that my future husband deserves. I don't want to be the neck (controller) but a crown (proverbs 12:4), where things need to be taken care of to have my future provider (husband) to be proud of me of making our home look good. Thank you, sister in Christ. You are loved by many.

      As wives and mothers, we do these things unto the Lord because of our deep abiding love and gratitude for Him and our salvation. If that is not our number one motivation then everything else is an idol of the heart, yes, even good gifts like a husband and children and our efforts can eventually turn sour and hearts bitter. But if we do things in honor and glory of our Lord that is what fuels and sustains our deep love for others, especially our husband and children, so that we can steward our good gifts well. Prepare for marriage and motherhood but not so much that you miss or are distracted from what God is doing in your heart & life in the season you're in. Much of what you learn about marriage and motherhood is learned "as you go" anyway 🙂

    Our home reflects our chaotic, messy but above all happy and loving family. We are a family of four creative individuals. Or home is perhaps not perfectly tidy all the time, but there is lots of laughs and warmth. Me and my husband both work, and we share the housework equally. But spending time with our sons has always been the priority.

    This video is speaking directly to my heart. We have moved, twice, in two years; had another baby, lost family members and so much more. I am now also a stay at home mom and it is the best part of my life journey thus far! Everything you mentioned is what I needed to hear. The past couple days I have felt God speaking to me about my habits and routines. I am hearing him louder now more than I had before, and why is it? My husband has now deployed again and we expect him back in about a year. I believe He has put me in this place to bring me closer to Him. Thank you for your videos

  • @starkittenarts

    I appreciate that you are lifting up the concepts of making yourself and your home presentable. Considering that laziness would leave yourself and your home a chaotic mess, I think everyone could agree that organization and some extra effort in both of those areas raises your esteem, your energy, and cares for your temple as well as your home in honor of God. Not only does a tidy home raise your spirits, but everyone around you. And when you look put together, others respect you more, even if it is your children and your husband, everyone recognizes effort and care.
    It was a little difficult seeing some of the comments come at you like something you said was incorrect. Truly you are leading us in a direction of peace, of cleanliness, of care for yourself and your home for the glory of God. Thank you for this video, I will be subscribing.
    I also want to mention I've been putting off getting up an hour early which I used to do to read my Bible or to shower, but I've put it off so that my younger children will run upstairs when they wake up and snuggle in bed with me before I get up. The hard truth is knowing that the shower and the reading may or may not happen that day if I don't do it in the morning. I also know this is a season where my little ones like to snuggle. So maybe I will start to do those early mornings a few days a week so I can still get that morning snuggle now and then. ❤

    At this mama’s faith I just thank God for you! This morning I did my bed lol I sprayed it with febreze. I had not done laundry for over 2 weeks. My baby and I were struggling with what to wear. I realized that I wasn’t being a good steward of my child. You got me when you said what are they going to remember about their childhood. Oh! I am so blessed by your videos. My child is 12 years old and I felt bad that I’ve shown her no structure this long, but I will be creating a routine. Thank you for allowing God to use you. Days earlier I had anointed my work space at work and yesterday I felt an “itch” to organize it and it is a better work environment and I even felt kinder when speaking to customers.

      Sorry to hear your husband left…but please don’t blame yourself or your lack of knowledge in certain areas. Marriage for the first time…specially at a young age means you will not know a lot of things and will learn and grow together. If he left that was his choice based on other things (trust me). You don’t leave someone you love because they don’t know how to wash dishes, make the bed, or sweep the floor. Stay strong and trust that God has someone better for you. 🌻

      Tell me if that makes sense bc I still don’t understand it. He says it’s disrespectful or I didn’t love him enough to do those household chores to his specific standards no matter how much good intentions I put behind my efforts. If I loved him enough I would do it the way he liked it. With two under two I felt overwhelmed by those demands

    I kind of feel hopeless sometimes. I'm 16 and my mom hasn't really taught me how to do feminine things. This has really made me feel down about myself. Also, I'm not trying to blame my mom, I think I definitely need to put more effort into it now that I'm getting older. But I've never had that boost. I don't know where to start. I don't know how to cook, do my hair nice, dress in a feminine way, or do literally any homemaking things. I just feel like a failure of a woman and I'm so masculine that I hate it so much. I hate feeling this way. Sorry for venting I just need to get this off my chest and hopefully I might receive good advice on what to do.

      Remember you don’t have to do all the things all at the same time. Take one thing out of your clothing that doesn’t make you feel feminine and replace with one thing that does and modest clothing is beautiful and feminine. When you get your hair done ask for them to show you how to style an easy everyday look. Learn how to cook just one dinner and later on just bill on it. You tube is great on how to videos. Praying your blessed and look to proverbs 31 as an encouragement and a prayer, to be a Godly young woman!!

The point is take a break, heal, ask for help no shame in that, reprenish your body since after birth sorry to say we are as delicate as that infant and our soul body and spirit need rest if we want to be at peace with everything.

      Give yourself grace. When you have very young children it’s hard to keep the home tidy all the time. When mine were little I had someone tell me that I should have decor on my tables and such. I was like why?? The kids will just play with it and it will end up on the floor. Now they are teens and young adults, my home has decor all over. 😆 Enjoy that age because it seriously goes by too fast. You’ll have time to have a well put together home soon enough.

    My husband and I have inherited our home from a bit of a hoarder and much of the excess was left for us to clean up. I wasn't able to do much for the first year because the last resident (family) was still coming to get things sometimes. When I was able to start really working on it I was 6 weeks PP with my first, and my husband was 1 week post major vehicle accident which almost left him paralyzed. I have been working on it for 4 months and I'm still so overwhelmed by much of it, but I have made so much progress, I want my husband to be proud of what I've done so far. I feel like everything has fallen on me and I'm doing my best to do it all. After this video I feel a little less guilty about not having a solid routine yet and still having things I don't love about my home. I'm changing my home to reflect my skills as a wife, it doesn't have to be perfect yet, it's transforming by God's grace giving me the strength to shoulder this season until I am able to really bloom. Thank you for encouraging videos.

    I understand doing some things without your kids, but I think scripture reading should be done with your kids and in front of your kids sometimes too. If you want your kids to grow up loving/reading scriptures, then they need to see you do it. They need to hear you talk about it too and be taught by you. That way they can hopefully learn to love it as well.

    I just quit my job of 20 years to become a homemaker. It has been the hardest thing ever for me to do. This video pops up.. I clicked on it and felt welcome right away... If you are a new homemaker I suggest forwarding this to others who may be starting out as a homemaker.
    I was always a neat person but to have the time to read the BIBLE was what I was most missing. No social media just quite time with God.

    This is frustrating. I worry so much about how our home and home life reflects myself as well how my kids will look back one day. I am very disappointed with how things are currently. But I feel completely helpless to change. I feel like I have no control over my home, yet I am the one judged. 😞

    • @LettersFromAFriend
      @LettersFromAFriend หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I know this feeling well… Jesus sees who you really are. What is written about costly attire and stylish hairdos also applies to your home. The home does NOT reflect who you are. It reflects in what conditions you live. And while making everything nice for your family can be an expression of love and care, it can also be an expression of shallowness and vanity. What is it like to be told by your mom that all you ever do is ruin her beautiful clean home? What is it like to not be allowed on the sofa (like a dog!) because it is white? What is it like to not be allowed to collect pebbles, or to see your mom throw away what you crafted for her just a few hours ago because it is “only a dust catcher”? Visitors will say “what a lovely home”, but your kids would know it was not…
      What really matters is, are you there for them when they need you? Do you listen to them? When they do something wrong, do you bother to find out why and do you help them to find better solutions? Do you know what they like, what they wish, what they fear? Are they allowed to bring friends? Do they trust you in general?

    • @solagratialife
      @solagratialife หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I responded to someone else's comment similar to yours with this: Do not worry about how your efforts look to others even those in your household. It will enslave you to the "works" part of being a homemaker which is not what a Proverbs 31 woman is at her core, though many people try to push that (do this to be a good Christian wife, do that to be a good Christian mother, etc). But before you can think about the "doing" part being a joy to your life, you need to look at the heart as scripture says, God cares not of outward appearances but of the heart. That scripture was written about those with works based mentality and religiosity for its own sake... but God wants to conform you to Christ first and foremost. As wives and mothers, we do the work of homemaking unto the Lord because of our deep abiding love and gratitude for Him and our salvation.

I also have 6 and I do stay in my pajamas and restful through breakfast because we are very much in a stage where I'm constantly feeding and changing diapers and I would have to leave them crying to get done up and have bible time. NO SISTER THE HOME DOES NOT REFLECT THE WOMAN! We are the reflection and the image of Jesus. So even on days when our homes look like chaos and our kids are screaming cause they are sick and we are giving our best we still can be at perfect peace because we are the reflection of the most high God, because we are at peace with God and friends with the Holy Spirit.

      @ThisMamasFaith this does not mean we should feel guilty if our house is not perfect. Excuse me but sometimes our house will be chaotic and messy especially with lots of children around. One day only has 24 hours and it's more important interacting with your children, playing with them and not shouting at them for not keeping the house clean than trying to keep the house perfectly clean. And u r only human

    • @stefaniakonstantinidou981
      @stefaniakonstantinidou981 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @ThisMamasFaith and u r only human and u may be too tired sometimes to deal with the mess at once and leave it for the next day and that s all right...Don t aim for perfection. It s in accepting our weaknesses that we grow, not in struggling to be perfect

Upset and lacking creativity during my newly established homeschooling and dealing with a boy who just doesn’t want to do what he doesn’t want to do.
