I think this guy is very underrated. The designs are great and I love the overall theme of the region. Sure, he isn’t Picasso but I don’t think that matters when making good content.

I have an idea for two counterpart pokemons. One is based on cute horror and the other based on mascot horror. Like a cute pokemon who's final stage is a deranged killer and the other an murderous animatronic.
From what I understand about plague doctors, most of their outfit served multiple purposes. The beak, for instance, contained perfumes and pungent plants to filter out “bad air” (a possible cause of spread in their minds), but also because it was creepy (the idea was that it scared away demons that might be the cause of the disease or spread). This is also why the lenses they wore tended to be black or red. Some of these traits, such as waving their coats and gloves (to prevent stains), accidentally did more to protect the doctor than what they thought worked (the wax sterilized their clothes, and prevented infected fluids from getting through)
TH-cam is sometimes very rewarding. Pokémon is a very popular subject. Making your own region always seems to get a lot of attention. I just subscribe, and I really like the idea of a horror region in Pokémon.
Personally, I would've went for worms (and ONLY worms) for the regional bug because of the real life fear "vermiphobia," he fear of parasitic worms. That said, Sharperpillar and it's evolutions are so cool! It reminds me of that meme where someone's being asked a question of what they're holding and they answer "a knife!"
I would personally love to see some kind of line based of SSTWL. Like, if you haven't got everything planned out just yet. I think the Styx hound would be cool, or the Left Hand parasite might make a cool dragon type line. But either way, I'm really enjoying this. Keep up the good work!
I love how much thought is put into these designs. The way you not only blend horror theme with convention, but also use previous Pokémon themes as a basis is impressive. And the blending of this region with the Kanto (I think. I’m a bit rusty on my Pokémon regions) region with the Beedril rivalry is a wondrous concept.

I love all these! Fun fact my Vivillon (an early route bug) was an absolute MENACE towards the game's ai because of the move Powder making fire types explode themselves but if you were to make a moth pokemon that preludes fires to come I think that could go super hard
Another banger from Mr Lolgan man! Some things 1) I am so happy the regional bird line is based off of plague doctors, we've needed a pokemon based on those for so long (i forgot about Aromatisse but Dapbird's line does it much better) 2) The final stage bug looks SO COOL! I love the stingers on the hand, they remind me of Toxicroak 3) Ursaluna is not the only Normal/Ground type, so is Diggersby :P
To help with the horror theming, there's a creature from Inuit mythology you might have some fun turning into a line for this region. In Inuit mythology. there is creature called the Akhlut. In Inuit mythlogy, the Akhlut is described as hybrid between an Orca and Wolf, some accounts of the creature even describe it as having the ability to shift between different states between the two, thus allowing it to choose whatever pure or hybrid form is most optimal for it at any given moment. I'm sure you'll have some fun researching them before you get to the designing phase, and it could make for a nice Water-type for various points and routes in the region.
There are horror movies where buildings are literally alive. I'm guessing a house or church Pokemon is inevitable? Maybe even a Pokemon that's a Legendary Pokemon statue with cracks revealing eyes?
Here’s an idea: legends based off historical events. The Romanov Incident would appear as a two headed feathered wyvern, more avian than reptilian despite being a draconid. It would definitely be undead. Probably ghost dual typed with what best represents an almost divine fury, a rage that completely ignores the barrier of death. Drawn to areas where a lot of undeserving deaths happened. Trying to fight or capture it only makes it angrier, and knocking it out or killing it is impossible because it’s already a ghost. It’s the incarnation of the undead wrath of those who did not deserve their end.
To stay in the horreur a pokemon that evolve but it just get bloodier and bloodier Edite:the pokemon is base on abuse and the only way for it to involve is by abusing it ( i have not been abused in my life this pokemon is not based on me ) First stage: normal cute basic stats Second stage: bloody look sad eyes bloody worms out its foot Last stage : bandages all over his body look like a living pice of flesh
My take on a plague doctor fakemon was a regional variant of aromatisse and a new evolution for it. Its grass/fairy, referring to the lavender stuffed into the beak of the doctor's mask.
If you need some inspiration, you could adapt some ideas from various horror media as Pokémon. If FroopyArt can adapt the Indominus Rex for his paleontology region and various cryptids for his Gravity Falls region, you can do the same.

I actually designed a horror theme Pokemon. It was originally me redesigning a bootleg but when I had a class assignment, I made it for that. That being Catmilla & her pre-evolutions Catbat & Likencat. There themed around the myth of vampires. With Catbat being the common trope of vampires turning into bat, Likencat being a bit more obscure with Vampires turning into wolves, and Catmilla being based of the vampire Carmilla. (Who was a fictional vampire before Dracula)
If you decide a deep forest area for somewhat late game I had thoughts about a pokemon named Drearit. It's name comes from Dread or Dreary, Deer, and Spirit. It's basically the jump scare of seeing a sad wounded animal you want to help only for it to be a deadly killer waiting to ambush you
Some Ideas: A fighting type based on the "Final Girl" horror trope. Perhaps pull from donkeys, as they have violent reactions to anything even remotely resembling a coyote. A Ghost type based on the ghost girls from Japanese Horror movies (The Ring, Grudge, Tomie, et cetera)
You should have kept the black plague theme because the bird is a plague doctor, the rodent a black rat and the bug the ticks at the origin of the plague. Either way, I love this video
I love little Dapbird, but you were right about its final evolution. Honestly, it looks kinda too simple compared to the pre-evolution. Maybe add in a more of the doctor cloak like making the tail a bit longer or giving it designs like on the pre-evolution, but have it be like a grey color so it won’t pop out too much. Maybe put some “stitching” around its beak for the mouth, like how the plague masks would have, and maybe turn the spectacle looking eye look like glasses/goggles instead. And maybe include a hood design like the pre-evolution but make it smooth and not jagged. But that’s just me and my thoughts on it if you are planning to redesign it.
Given how I tend to try using bees on my team, safe to say Murdruzz is gonna be on my team. Also... After thinking on it a bit, I think I have an idea for a pokemon hunted by the Doctrow like how you stated wanting to do a line for! Possibly a bug/poison type flea/lice based on the fleas/lice that were responsible for spreading the Black Death, and had rode on rodents that ended up getting the blame for the Plague. It also works due to crows naturally eating bugs as part of their diet. (Again, just an idea. NOT a suggestion or request. You do you, okay?)

The last pokemon is based off a murder hornet. Do you know a flock a crows is called a murder? It feels like a missed opportunity that your murder hornet pokemon doesn't want to hunt a group of your crow pokemon. A murder hornet fighting a murder of crows? Such a missed opportunity.
