HP Envy 6455e Printer Scanning.

    Hi I have been using my HP Envy 6455e All-in-one printer and everything was going fine, printing, scanning and photocopy. Then suddenly the printer got disconnected from the network and I had to start over connecting it back to the network and linking with HP Smart app. However, it can no longer scan as before. When I try to scan, it brings up an error message that says: "Couldn’t Connect to Scanner - HP Smart cannot scan from this printer. Either no scanner was detected or HP Smart is not compatible with the scanner in this printer. It suggested I use the camera on my computer to scan but it’s not a good alternative".
    How can I get my printer to scan again using the HP Smart app or any other available method? I have used the HP Print and Scan doctor to try to fix the scanning issue and it says there's no scanning problem, yet I cannot scan. What do you suggest I do? Thank you

    What do you do if you have not linked the print/scan to your phone? You did not cover that.
