- In this Video, we build one of my turbo manifolds for the Colt CZT 4G15 Engine step by step. This manifold is a direct replacement for the stock manifold.

Yes, They do have their negatives. BUT...you need to understand why i am making this manifold. Its intended to be a cost effective replacement for the OEM Pressed steel manifolds which are prone to failure.
Yes, a Tubular manifold would be beneficial, but these colt log manifolds have been proven to support 260+bhp on the standard TF035 Frame Hybrid. More than enough for the small car they are.

I own this actual manifold. Lovely piece of kit. It is designed to be an OEM replacement rather than an upgrade as the standard manifolds are prone to cracking round the collector. There are performance manifolds on the market but this one is half the price.
Finally a comment worth reading. I follow gizfab on insta as well as on here and I'm blown away by how many ignorant comments there are. This video went viral for some reason though! Most of his vids are only in the hundreds or maybe a few thousand views. This one is up to over 600K at the time of this comment. I wonder what happened!

Performance turbo collectors are a huge pile of additional work and they take up more space. Beautiful? Certainly but do they really make “that” much difference in the real world?
yeah and it's welding without rear gas .. called backing gas. so I wouldnt take a look inside.
I dig it big time, big step up from stock and hand made by someone who takes pride in what they do and excellent footage at the same time. Most people gloat, argue and have nothing but negativity but deep down are jealous of what you’ve done.

I do a lot of stainless pipe welding at work * we purge most welds so that you get a smooth finish inside. We also pickle the welds after to get rid of the heat marks & get that clean stainless look.

This would be a good upgrade on a 4G32T engine as well,
since the exhaust manifold on these engines cracks easily,
plus a manefold like this is guaranteed to have better flow than the original manifold as well.

Excellent job. Yes it's a log type manifold but the performance will still be excellent so who cares if it doesn't have smooth flowing lines. Certainly a lot more compact than individual tubes.

I like it. With such thick tubing, it probably doesn't raise underhood temperatures like header tubes do.
I'm glad to have a 4B11T. Some companies cast a stainless steel exhaust manifold that is a great replacement which also adds horsepower. I suppose if the 4G15 had as many fans, they too could get such a manifold.

Pretty good fitting. The complaint I would have as a customer is that you used schedule 10 pipe but failed to weld a root pass with a purge throughout the weld process. That would make it it extremely prone to failure because of oxidation (sugar) on the inside of the weld

This is dope yo now a 22 mm nut will be what to use if you have an 02 sensor on the manifold this demonstration is on point

Eu não sei para que serve a peça, mas se ela trabalhar sob grande pressão você deverá fazer um tratamento térmico nela pois a destemperou, onde vemos inclusive pela cor assumida após o trabalho.

This is fine art at its best...way better then my G54b log mani i made...I should have used schd. Tubing instead of 304 mandrel bent. I like the inside welds too... shows your attention to detail, cant wait to see another unit made with ur new purging equip.👍🏼👍🏼

it looks good, but with the lack of purging i would be worried about a piece of oxidized " sugared " material breaking off and going into the engine or turbo. Other than that, looks good bro.

Sch 10S? I am planning similar turbo exhaust manifolds and the ports are oval vertically. Amazing a vise did such a good job.
Looks good except for the miss match on one joint and would have been nice to see a purge done.
You should purge that.
Add a barbed fitting to you're jig for purge gas before finish welding.
Looks good on the outside ,but the exhaust flows on the inside.
I know all about purging. it wasn't chosen for these particular manifold for a few reasons. You will be happy to know im now setup for purging anything and everything - and i do when possible.

Wow, that's a work of art. Beautiful. I wish I could TIG weld. I'm pretty good at fabrication, but that's not worth much if you can't weld.

Almost perfect. Minor critique... You don't really need anything fancy to Purge parts. In a pinch a y splitter w/ aluminum foil around a line stuffed in the turbo flange or solar flux the parts before welding. Hopefully you or someone finds these cheap solutions useful!
