I’m not a true expert on the difference. If I recall correctly, V2s are brighter and have the sequential C lights as the turn signal instead of the inner vertical bars in the V1. I am having some flickering issues with my V2s right now but they look great.

MAPerformance screwed my order up of my Downpipe, CatBack,Cobb AP and intake. They said my downpipe was not compatible with my 2017 STI. I sent back the downpipe but they could not swap it out with another downpipe because I used Affirm. After doing WAY more research I realized that the downpipe I had ordered were compatible with my car. I argued with them to send it back but they kept trying to convince me that it wasn't compatible, I got frustrated and just gave up. Long story short, they really put my build on hold for months and months. I understand many many people are buying because of stimulus, but they are overloaded and their quality of customer service SUCKS! I will NOT be shopping with them anymore. Subiespeed and Rallysport Direct from now on. Sorry to hear they are screwing your order up and putting your build on hold as well.

When you start building and need very specific parts like you do the options are limited. I feel your pain and hope it comes quick or time flys for you. This is my absolute favorite STI channel and your content is high quality and very informative. Keep up the good work!
Hey Smeedia, so my ‘15 STi I bought used and it has a Diode Dynamics box installed (Shitty Wire Management) I’m trying to either replace the LED bulb or just buy a new headlight kit. With these Subispeed headlights you got rid of the diode dynamics box completely ? If there is one thing I am really shitty at, it’s electrical work

They are cool, but I’m not a fan of the square side profile. I would rock the V2 tail lights but when it comes to spending $600 on my car, there’s a lot of other things I’d spend it on before tail lights.
Smeedia yeah man, In your case you’ve got the performance mods already so it’s different for you. (Plus it’s your car anyway) so go for the cool lights. my STI is completely stock other than wheels, tires, suspension, aero and interior bits. Next is stage two parts and e-tune. But I have a daughter to raise and wife that’s not into cars. And a mortgage that’s not into cars lol. So it’s hard to justify the spending. Especially with what’s going on in the world right now. So it’s on the wait list.

@@Smeedia from how i understood it.. silvers and fortune auto parts are made in the same factory. fortune auto just paints them all pretty and calls them custom made. its really not that case. and Silvers USA headquarters is literally 10 mins from my house here in Florida. i may have heard all that info from the horses mouth. (wink wink) but either way both work great

My buddy is using thise ones, not a huge fan of them after seeing them in person. Theyre a little dark for me. But they do look good!
The v2’s aren’t smoked/tinted, just blacked out inner housing which makes them amazing!

Those headlights are cool but I heard they have condensate issues so watch out.

Its about the same as my OEM Limited headlights but the highs are definitely brighter, I'd say by at least 20%

Correct no more diode wiring and the harness on these were minimal 🙏

Hey since you tapped that blue wire Into the turn signal does that mean that the drls don’t come on? Kind of lost on that one.

I would say the highs are about 20% brighter than the OEM ones 😁
