- Introducing this new type of forged carbon fiber. It has a ghost metallic effect to it, which means at certain angles the pattern shows or fades away. It also has a shifting effect where it appears that the pieces are moving. You can pick up this new vinyl wrap from these Amazon paid links below.

DANG!!! This video came in my email from VVIVID too! Getting that recognition CK!!
Sameeeee😂😂
That's crazy. I ordered this pattern for a customer 2 days ago and here's this video. Props to CKWRAPS. You make it look so easy. I've learned so much about vinyl wrapping by watching your videos. You do a great job of explaining everything step by step. Thanks
Ordered this wrap 3weeks ago. Wrapped my brothers hood with him. What I’ve noticed was to be careful to clean your hand before lifting the wrap from under. As the wrap leaves a metallic glitter on your hand and gets on the adhesive under, and the felt liner on the squeegee gets coated as well. The wrap definitely plays tricks on your eyes for sure.
Vvivid has certainly come a long way in the last 5 yrs. Definitely moving up the quality ladder! Their colours are phenomenal too!
I absolutely despise long videos but I find myself watching your videos and being thoroughly entertained !!! Great work !!! 👏
OMFG YAAAAAS!! been waiting for some color-shifting carbon fiber patterns to come out, this is going on my ride ASAP!! TY Christian for another awesome video!!
You'd be a great plastic surgeon for elderly patients wanting to appear more youthful 😄
Best wrinkle smoother I've ever seen!
I just ordered a roll of this vinyl to wrap my jeep wrangler in. I can’t wait to get started this weekend.
I think this would make an amazing wrap for interior trims as well...subtle, different and very sleek.
Glad Vvivid sent this email! Looks great!
Aloha Christian! Dis is one braddah from Hawai'i and I've subscribed and been watching your channel for some time got all the tools and seen all your tips and tricks and just wanted to thank you because I've wrapped my 2005 toyota tundra roof due to clear coat fading and i used vivid gloss black and looks amazing! You saved me about $2000 family and friends cannot believe how it looks. Next going be my hood. But again Mahalo nui ( big thanks). Wishing you the best and happy holidays!! Aloha!
CK is brilliant. The Greatest Wrapper Alive! That's a badass color too. I leveled up just watching this video. Hoods can be tricky. Thanks CK
i wish i could be an apprentice with this man i could learn so much from how great his detail is, i’ve been binge watching his youtube vids , this man does great work
I used the forged carbon 2020 wrap on my doors and side panels. Easiest wrap to install by far!! Hides any small imperfections on older paint.
ey chris! i wanna say thank you for teaching your techniques, im from South America Uruguay and i started my own wrap bussinnes, all thanks to you, thanks for the motivation! hope one day have the pleasure to meet you
Thank you CK! You helped me wrap my car in holographic black.
ur the best teacher on youtube ..im ur happiest student...love from india
I have this on my car and it was so easy to work with I did it on my hood roof and trunk. It's been on there for a year now and corners and everything held up well so far. Definitely turns heads. Just the way it sparkles in the sun.
So far my wrap has lasted for a long time period I messaged you last year or the year before for the instructions on wrapping the the hood and I think I even sent you pictures when I 1st did this. It came out great
Didn’t start wrapping it yet in the video, so I don’t know the finished product yet. But I think for small pieces this would be so sick! And definitely doing the roof would be dope. Prolly switching the black on my roof to that forged carbon 👌🏻🤘🏻
I did all of the interior trim in my S4 with carbon wrap thanks to your videos. Awesome tips
Thank you for this and all of your videos! I'm learning so much and almost ready to start my own wrap and PPF business on the side. Love your website and videos there!
The shifting pattern movement, in the light, makes the effect appear electronic.
That's sick af!
Seen it in person. Very cool wrap!
You good sir are a killer👌🏻👌🏻 wrap looks F’n awesome and very helpful with explaining the process 🤜🏻🤛🏻🤘🏻
Ordering this for my car today, just had to wait for BF! Looks great!
Just ordered this vinyl to wrap a fiberglass kayak.
At the beginning it looked a little weird, but the final product looked pretty bomb oddly enough.
congrats on the baby. Hope mom and baby are doing well.
Thank you, everyone is doing great!
The wrap looks amazing!
I gotta go back and watch the video a few more times. I keep getting distracted by that sweet as hell rolling, cutting slice of mobile delight that is holding your vinyl. Apologies for the odd sentence. My brain is trying to reboot.
Congratulations on the baby!
Congrats on the baby 😎 a kids a blessing
Wow. I would love this on my roof!! And my interior trim.
...Looking good ... ( the wrap also look good ) ... I have ordered 25feet for my BMW bike ... winter project...
That is so cool it went grey
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 love this Chanel! Keep up the great work Christian 👍🏼
CK the wrapmaster, always makes everything looks easy
This has a very unique look to it.....awesome video
Interesting pattern. Reminds me more of galvanized steel than CF, but I do dig the effect! Nice wrap job CK
😀👍
I really enjoy watching your videos. You are very good at what you do. I am going to start wrapping my 2004 WRX this summer and your videos are very helpful and motivating. It would be nice to join your website and read through the forums and all of that, but I do not want to have to pay a fee to do so. I can understand paying for the instructional courses, but just forum access is kind of lame. Keep up the good work!
Congratulations on the baby bro.
I would like to try wrapping a car.....but i can not do mine as i have ceramic coated it this spring. You make it look easy but i am sure its difficult to get that amazing of a result however it looks ridiculously satisfying
Thanks for this video. I’m trying to learn and have been doing research but this helped a lot.
Love from ALPHA WRAPZ!! A full car would look dope!
Wrapping my Yukon in this wrap right now. It's pretty difficult actually compared to some Avery Dennison I've used, but maybe it's because it's a metallic satin as air release and thickness is a bit different.
I overheated the wrap in some spots on my tailgate. Slightly more glossy where I heated it up too long. I'm not too experienced though, so I'm sure with more practice I'll figure out a better technique. Curves are tough with this wrap, but it is very durable! Love the look too.
Fabulous camera work
This pattern would look great on my motorcycle, tank and fenders...
Idea 💡💡💡
✌️ 😎
Used this on my Honda, absolutely love the look!
Nice!! Send us some photos!
Your job stayed amazimg, I'm learn so much with your videos.
You dont need to repaint the hood first? Can it cause it to rust?
You do awesome work I have mostly bought parts that was already carbon fiber,so I tried my hand at doing the inside brake light housing with Vivvi wrap my first everThat mother was hard and I still did not bad for the first time ever.my car is a 2019 Nissan Sentra SV
do you have any pointer on how to wrap the 3rd brake light housing ,my first 2 times i cut the wrap to short Thanks for your videos
Super job and really cool vinyl 👍
Thanks dad. Great show
Fyi for anyone interested, this wrap and other 'ghost metal' wraps are directional. I messed up and rewrapped some panels after noticing this. Bottom end of the 5' roll fades into a 'ghost grey' sooner than the top of the roll, so be consistent and aware of how sections are laid on. Finished wrapping my whole 07 Yukon Denali in this wrap and it's amazing!
Wow that’s awesome!!! I frocking love the way you do and explain everything in your vidios you are the man !! So one question where do you get your wrapping vinyl ??
Cool, looks like galvanized metal!
You keep getting the interesting wraps
Nice work ...as always bro! Have a good day.
Hello CK. I don't remember hearing you say, but when you sand and body work a dent, does the bondo have to be covered or coated with primer or some sort of protectant before wrapping? I've been watching your videos and they are EXTREMELY helpful and I think I want to give it a try.
As long as it's smooth and there's no residue then the film will stick over small Bondo filled areas.
@@CKWraps thanks tremendously for your time and help. I greatly appreciate it.
Really helpful video, I am pretty new and was curious do you need to post heat the entirety of the wrapped surface? I notice you did the edges but I was curious is it not needed for the rest? Thanks bud awesome video.
Just got this emailed from VVIVID
Looks good thanks for all the information I will be trying out something soon
Could you try teckwraps forged carbon wrap that seems to be one of the best I've seen
Judging on your videos, vivid has very high quality wraps ,are there any places I can go to get inexpensive or wrap pieces to practice wrapping ? I really enjoy your videos and had to subscribe ,as a mechanic I think I'm a closet body and paint guy at heart ,please keep these informative videos going and thanks for sharing you're knowledge .thanks again
Thanks for sharing. I like that color, would go great in my 93 Silverado.
CK, I’ve wrapped several bicycles/ motorcycle and I found the most difficult part is shrinking the fender’s edges… especially the bicycle fenders. You think I would be able to wrap my 1976 corvette, or am I going to bite more than I can chew?
I don’t know if that part of the car behind the rear window is even possible to wrap. I think it’ll be a nightmare. I was hoping you already did one of these C3 corvettes and have a suggestion, something like, I’m better off sticking a fork in my throat. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
A C3 Vette will be hard to wrap. I've wrapped one years ago before doing TH-cam videos. I'd start with the truck first, it'll be easier.
Pretty clean! Super worried about the edges though because everytime I use Vvivid it peels/pulls back lol
Anyway congrats on the baby!
I've wrapped hoods with Vvivid and many other brads exactly like this for roughly 5-6 years. If the film ever pulls back it's due to me over stretching it.
@@CKWraps **taking notes**
ayye this is wrap i'm using. in combination with the large print
Kinda looks like black shadow camo I have on my maxima still 👍🏾🖤
Did my whole car in that exact vinyl.
Considering doing my hood in this vinyl, how do you like it after several months?
Do you have any videos on how to wrap the door jambs? It looks like you only do the exteriors but I'm sure that's not the case.
Yes, I do on my website
Tinybot has had it for a while now
How did you measure that hood piece does that roller measure how much was rolled out after your last cut
Yes it does. It has a counter (inches) This is a link for wall mount - signmakertools.ca/products/appfix-roll-n-cut?_pos=3&_sid=8cd73407b&_ss=r
Or mobile station with counter as at CK Wraps - signmakertools.ca/products/treemaxx-easyreach-pro?_pos=1&_sid=4448c3475&_ss=r-
Great Video, in previous videos you cold stretched at the corners and then heated...here you just tucked it around and heated. Is this because of this particular vinyl or just updating your technique? thanks
Different techniques for different films and applications. I go through most of these on my website.
Bruhhh please do videos of wrapping the rest of your car. We need more Audi vids!!!
I just ordered this film to do my Harley Wideglide tank and fenders. I am planning on using 3m edge sealer tape as well, is this a necessary step or just a good practice? Thanks for any tips in advance!
Can you do one on wrapping a rzr? I'm using Vvivid Oil slick carbon fiber and having a TON of trouble getting it to stretch into the crevices. 2016 rzr xp4 1000
This looks just like the vvivid composite carbon
Beautiful!!
I’ve never seen so many magnets in one place 😂😂
This would look sick on a motorcycle
Strong Work.
Can you wrap a fibreglass tonneau cover on an 8ft truck bed?
Vvivid made me click your video 😉
Is that Vvivid’s Miami Teal on the rack?
Great video
Hey CK, have you tried VVIVIDS liquid metal wraps?
I am wondering is it ok to use soap water during install on any wrap
Great job
Thanx for the video.
As for wraps go could I wrap it even if the original paint is still on it?
Good job bro
Hi i had a question, i seen people wrap ppf over vinyl wrap.... can you do gloss clear ppf over this vinyl wrap?.
Where did you get your vinyl rap wall rack in this video from?
It's our TreeMAXX EasyReach PRO
Thank you!
Will it get rust under the wrap? I’m planning to do the same thing on my car but I’m worried about rust. Should I at least prime the bare metal?
I would call the Post Heat....the "Insurance Policy".
alright CK wraps, i got a question that only you can answer.
my car has the undercoat protection which runs 2ish inches up the side of the car. is there something special you need to do to wrap over that since its a very textured surface? or would i just go at it as per normal
@CK Wraps - Is this an air release film? does air release allow moisture to get to the bare metal? Are you concerned about rusting?
It's an air release film but with proper heating of the edges it will seal the adhesive. It's possible for it to rust if a stone peirces the film but the same would go for paint. If something hits it hard enough it will leave the bare metal exposed.
In microscopic detail, water molecules are MUCH larger than air molecules. Air release vynil wrap, is like a filter. Air can be squeezed out of the vinyl, but water can't enter. As long as your edge seals are good, and nothing sharp pierces the vynil, down into metal, it is a water/weatherproof skin on your vehicle.
@@CKWraps Very interesting. What do you think the life span of vinyl is in regards to rust prevention? Similar to paint, better, worse?
@@CKWraps I just finished watching all your stripe videos I could find but I didn’t find what I was hoping for. There is a technique where two wires of knifeless tape are laid very near each other on each side of the stripe and the outer wire on each side of the stripe is pulled, next a full body wrap is done but of course it only needs to overlap the wires, no need to cover up the strip, next the remaining wires (one on each side of the strip) are pulled and the left over tape and vinyl is fished out from between the two colors. The resulting two differing colors having been cut in one wire pull then lay together and bond on the edge so good that the tech could literally pull the base color and stripe color back off as if it were one piece of vinyl (just for demonstration of course). I think this technique might be helpful in both breaking up the wrap into smaller pieces thereby making it easier especially for a new tech working alone and would allow you to use pieces of vinyl that otherwise would have been trashed. If you ever get an opportunity to demonstrate this I think it would be a very popular video. You would only need large pieces for the fenders and door. On the hood, roof, and truck, you could brake it up into long skinny pieces and on the front and rear you would only need three small pieces of body color and two small pieces of stripe color per each end of the car (assuming you had two color stripes like I plan to use).
