Great video! Just in time for me to do my Chevy emblems. I watch your video before my wraps. I’m still n amateur but so far good work as I’m told by my family Thank you
Hi Christian!🙋🏻♂️ You're the man - love this one! I'm familiar with vvivid, however, I couldn't find a way to get in contact with Avery Dennison to buy their vinyl wraps- I'm from Ottawa Ontario.
When you are watching a pro at work it becomes so relaxing. Love the video and was wondering. Can I use this video for my compilation? You will get fully credited! thank you

Love watching your channel. Very informative. One question though, is it necessary to over laminate the car wrap wether wrapping a whole car or just the emblems? Or can it be left as is with just the vinyl wrap?
Can’t believe that I found you guys on TH-cam right after I sent you an email for a quote on my new Benz. You’re up in Canada right? I‘m in upstate NY about 2 hours away.
So after watching a bunch of CKs awesome videos I got me about $100 worth of vinyl wrap including tools. I went out tried to tackle it with my truck and failed miserably. I realize I can’t do this shit , it’s hard as fuck, and I took it to Atlanta custom wrap and had them do it and it’s beautiful.
Its something you make mistakes early on and learn how to apply later and not easy as it seems. Im on my second car wrap and prob wasted about $150 worth of material just from too much stretch or manufacturing defects. Out of 8 vvivid rolls 5 arrived defected with damage scratches or whatever at beginning of roll, usually throwing away first 2x5 feet of material. Also all my bad rolls were shipped in plastic bag no inner cardboard core, whereas perfect rolls were in blue/purplish cellophane wrap and 100% clean. Trying to determine where those vvivid rolls come from, perhaps canada??
Damn I was going to ask about the Audi emblem, did you happen to record n post it?? I switched mine out but would still like to see it. If it’s available obviously… Mercedes emblem looks killer🤘🏻🤘🏻♠️♠️

How about wrapping the car, but removing and plastidipping the amblem? Have you tried? I'm too OCD for "so many" pieces on that amblem. Would it pull back/shrink over time on such a small area?
Every time I wrap it keeps pulling back I’m trying to practice on my car a lot I really don’t know why It keeps putting back maybe I’m over stretching... sometimes I feel like I’m not stretching at all and it’s pulling back still
Are you using high quality wrap? Some emblems you just cannot wrap because of the way they are shaped. Are you using too much heat? Lots of factors and I can tell you from my experience that wrapping is one of the things that takes a lot of skill and patience to master. Hope you managed to get it👍
@@xckjyt yeah most likely too much heat if it's pulling back, crumbling up, or shrinking on you. You can't leave the heat gun (or hair dryer) in 1 spot for too long & only really need short bursts. I'm far from a master, but have noticed the heat creates that extra form-fitting bond in the blink of an eye. You also may be cutting too close to the edge & not leaving enough material behind to shrink when heated.
I'm not sure what your trunk area looks like, but I just hyperdipped my E coupe's badges & emblem today & had to mask off the entire rear end almost up to the rear windows. I know it wipes off easy, but the overspray was insane. Wasn't expecting half that much
It looks like he removed the emblem twice, once to lay tape and once to remove. Those tape layers are way too clean to try and precise cut into that. And its time consuming. Notice he frame skipped that part starting to take tape off 😂. He mentions wrapping without removing emblem so he showed it that way
Honest question - would a GMC tailgate emblem be a piece-of-cake for you to delete the chrome around the edges? I’m looking to do that, and if in your opinion that’s easy, then I’ll give it a shot.
Thinking about wrapping my F250 front fender badges. They have small (3/4" tall and 3/8" wide) letters noting the trim level. Any suggestion for how to press into such small spaces? I assume use Avery and warm it up a touch, then use a detail tool to press into the corners while warm?
Plasti dip my friend’ it will peel perfectly at final step and looks great if u do it right’ vinyl wrapping tiny letters etc never gunna look good unless u have a machine to do it perfectly’
@@joshymcdaniel9233 I literally wrapped them yesterday in vinyl. Couldn't get the letters to press in, but the bulk of the wrap turned out fine. That is until the temp dropped over night and the vinyl just peeled right off. So yeah, Plastidip FTW.
Ive installed cheetah more than any other material bc of its popularity and personally I say its 100% legit and you will be satisfied with it. Theres better material out there that could have better results such as avery or 3m but i still recommend cheetah for more budget friendly full wraps
@@dorito7480 you’re a life saver bro, i’ve been debating either doing it or not.. Yeah, it’s significantly much cheaper so I wanna give it a try & see how it does!

@@hassanhasan5703 Actually if the layers are thick enough (4-5 layers of PD) it will come off as if it were vinyl. Although you are right, normally the finish is matte, you have two options to make it glossy, either apply 1-2 coats of glossifier on top of the matte or ... use the (new) Hyperdip black which has a gloss finish. I've done my emblem like this more than a year ago with no change in color or any other problems since then. I find that it's an amazing alternative for more complex emblems. You just have to be careful how you apply it and be aware of the temperature of the environment you are working in (which applies to vinyl as well). In the end it's just a matter of preference of vinyl vs. Plastidip, each having their own pros and cons.
@@hassanhasan5703 You must be dumb. Plastidip peels right off bro. Go do some research. No need to wrap small parts, they don't hold well. DIP it instead.
@@sharkparty1027 you are absolutely correct. Plasti dip comes right off no matter how thick or thin the coat is. It preserves the emblems or rims and is easy to take off. Easier than wrap. It took me about 20 minutes to takeoff my head wrap and only one minute to takeoff plasty dip.
@@Cliffhanger_MFC If you look at the wrap, you can see that it is going to start to peel. Also, the prep work and time is not worth it. No one ever said, "oh I can tell you wrapped the car, but it sucks because you dipped the emblem." Never happens. No one cares. Work smarter, not harder.
