League of Legends has over 140 champions, all with unique voices and voice actors. I often see videos or posts about what the voice's of the champions look like but I never heard much about whether or not League of Legends voice actors play the game.
So I decided to search around for as many champion's voice actors as I could and this was the result.

@@natick2958 He always seems to be typecast as samurai characters. It sounds a bit odd especially since I'm not too fond of the series, but I tend to associate him with Captain Ukitake from Bleach.
Ezreals voice actor does play league, he’s the voice of proguides currently and he even has his own youtube channel!
He was referring to the previous va for ezreal Kyle herbert and not his new voice since the voice hadn't been changed at that point

it's because there aren't many black voice actors hired by media so when there's a character who's black, it's a great opportunity for them. for that only to be taken by another white person is kind of a shame.

Since when Teemo's voice actor became a mystery? Teemo's voice actor is Miyuki 'Shurelia' Mitsuhashi, she and her husband used to work for Riot, there is an item in the game named after her, like with some other Rioters.
Not only she voiced Teemo, she also designed Lux and her original concept art. She is still active in her TH-cam channel but she doesn't upload LoL videos anymore, she used to play the game a lot back in the first seasons and be good friends with Lilypichu. I wasn't aware that people ignored her existence.

It's both true. Every voice actor is unique, so even if there are 3 champs with the same voice actor, they still share said unique voice actor.
And most voice actors have different voices, so they still have unique voices, instead of sounding like the 80% of npcs in Skyrim for example.

Fun fact: The Korean voice actress for Janna, Ashe and Sivir is quite a well-known celebrity there and she is also known to enjoy playing league.
What Korean doesn't. Not hating Koreans, its just everytime some form of competitive e-sports shows up, Koreans are more likely to pop up and win or have higher chances of win.

But almost every time I happen to hear about MOBAs or RTS games, I tend to expect a Korean player or team to pop up, and at least they do so for fun, competition, and to spread their country's name from a different angle, and it shows. Two out of those three things I tend to avoid when I play games like League.

Fun fact: when you sign a deal with most organizations as a voice actor, your contract covers three distinct characters or appearances. That is most of the reason that many champions or characters will be voiced by the same individual, and you'll also be hard pressed to find any voice actor that voiced more than three characters. If they wanted them to put in work for another character, they'd have to draw up an additional contract. The more you know!
The same applies to pretty much everything involving voice actors, actually.

Great video man and well done research! Being a voice actor myself and knowing most of the actors mentioned in this video, I can confirm that we usually don't play most of the games we work on. It's funny that sometimes we go in to record and don't know the name of the character we are playing. I just recently recorded a video game for an extremely well known company and I don't even know the title of the game. I'll try to ask what it's about but usually I'm only told info that's necessary for me to play as my character. Wish they told us more!

What if... Teemo is actually an AI constructed to voice himself?
Yes, they changed the actor IIRC because the older one was in a guild/union of some sort and it would require Riot to pay him every time a new patch was released if they did a new VO take. Every. Patch.
