Only to discover that your little sister that you love unconditionaly is one of them and she fears you and live in a toxic environnement you created to protect her ...
For Garen, it wasn’t even the fear of her coming out as a mage to him. It was the fear, guilt, and regret he had when he realized he had turned their home into a place where his own sister was afraid of being herself. His trauma was realizing that he made Demacia a place that made her feel endangered and unsafe.
Garen didn't make demacia that way, though. He's not king, or prince, or even king's hand; he's just a pretty high up soldier. It's the fact that he's faced with a dichotomy for the first time in his life. Mages are evil, but he loves his sister. Garen hasn't had to make a decision like this before, he's always followed Demacian ideals
Well it's probably also that the mages he's spent years hunting suddenly can't be neatly classified as subhuman or mere "threats". Suddenly what he's been killing isn't just a bunch of monsters but people's sisters, brothers, parents, and children. Some may have been as kind as his own sister. It's pretty fucked up, really.
It's my theory that Fiddlesticks reveals other demon's names because it IS their greatest fear. For only when a demon's true name is revealed can they be sealed away (source: Yone's Lore).

The Scarecrow is Fiddlesticks. He created the form so it is part of him. Also, he doesn’t just mimic what people say before they die or their past traumas. As the Demon of Fear, he can actually see into people’s hearts and their true fears.
I don't think he created the scarecrow. It's said that he has 9 forms in total and the scarecrow is just one of them. The reason he's always acting clumsy is because he didn't have access to the "earth" plane for as long as some other demons like Evelyn so he's literally still learning how to walk.

The fact that Fiddlesticks calls the names of demons is not just a greeting. After the release of Nila, we know that names carry a lot of weight for demons. Calling the names of the demons Fiddlesticks does not welcome them, but threatens them. Even when talking to demons, he tries to terrify them.
The fact that Fiddle knows the true names of every demon, yet nobody in Runeterra, not even the player base themselves, know his REAL name, is absolutely terrifying.
For as long as something has been alive, it has been able to die. But just before it's death, it must feel something to be considered alive: Fear. Fear came before Death, second only to Life itself.
Fiddlesticks should have ALOT more voice lines in my opinion, like, for example, with Pyke, he says "DON'T LET GO OF THE ROPE", referencing his gruesome death
No, that would make no sense from Fiddlesticks standpoint. For pyke his greatest fear/trauma wasn't his death. Probably something else fiddle can reference which would be more deep and personal

He has no name except the one the witness gave to him. And he has no face, for a bandana is atop at all times. So giving him more a back story would not be so suiting. I feel like Pyke is not going to be "afraid" of anything specifically, due the fact that he has lost the memory to his previous life and is now pretty much a walking corpse with a harpoon killing people on his list. But imo the only thing that might make him really have an existential crisis about is probably something about his list. For example, Fiddlesticks talks about how Pyke's list will eventually become empty, leaving no one left for Pyke to kill. At that point, Pyke will lose all his purpose to "life", as the list is basically his only purpose, to kill.

Teemo has made the ultimate dream of any demon a reality and hidden himself completely in a mortal form. He is a hellspawn, true, but no-one knows that and other demons do not recognize his origin. Mortals also do not know the full horror of his existance since all who stand before Teemo are ruthlessly murdered. No-one ever was left alife to report of the cruel nature that is the Teemo.
@@alexs5814 The actual lore of Teemo is pretty sad. (As I'm aware of, at least in the Omega Group skin line) He was part of a group of soldiers who died at a war. He saw them diying and was heavily injured but managed to survive. Now he has PTSD from it, as heard in the voicelines.

Demons can often be bound or weakened with their names in other media and pop culture. Maybe that's why he says the other demons names out loud when he sees them, to spark their fear of having their names used against them. Don't know if this is the case in leagues lore tho.

It's not, but if you didn't know, Yone uses their names to seal them and Yone is a human that has an Azakana (Little demon) Attached to him, the masks represents the demons that got sealed and his mask represents his Azakana
Dunno what it is, but the interaction with Nunu always gives me literal shivers. None of the others do (at least not consistently), but that Nunu one gets me every time.
what hit me about the nunu interaction, was that it went low in the end. as if the shock and traumatic illusion had broken and nunu, the literal child, was now face to face with something beyond the comprehension of even most powerful creatures on runeterra. imagine you suddenly get the memory of your mothers death and as you snap out of it, that fucking thing sits in front of you.
The jinx lines are the juiciest in my humble opinion. Jinx's pick lines are "rules are made to be broken, like buildings...or PEOPLE", the fact that she feels guilty about something to the extent that fiddle stick can torment her with it is interesting to me.
she is a psicho, but she isnt a real monster. in the comics she share with ziggs, she destroys a building and she got worried about the people inside it from a moments
She has a similar interaction with Swain where he brings it up. "Faces, fading in the flames. It was all her fault." It's likely that what she did is what caused her to snap and go insane.
Probably because what happened in the past made her snap. Often times, people use their trauma to cope with it. Example: Rape victims can become hypersexual to cope with what happened. "It can't hurt me, if I'm the one controlling it." Normally, I would say League lore ain't that deep, but Kindred definitely hints that it could be :')

Because even the other demons don't know his name and he knows Kindred. Kindred was from the dawn of time. Meaning he either is or is a fragment of the original demon.

He is the Primordial fear of the universe itself, Fear in it's crudest and purest form, he came to be when the first thing in the universe felt fear, a theory is that , Fiddlesticks is the last thing his first victim said, which is basically an really old version of "oh shi-"

its because they thought yasuo either assassinated him purposefully and even if they believed him, he was still responsible for leaving his master unprotected. Unfortunately, yeah, riven got a way better bargain than yasuo who had to kill more of his own people to stay alive.
Reminding of loved ones - who probably passed away since we're talking about traumas - does hit different. And the wholesome sentence makes it extremely creepy to me, given the context, without counting the fact that he uses both his screechy and gritty voice in there, adding up to all of that... Maybe I'm overanalyzing this, but I did feel pretty terrified and had that sort of heart pressure created because of being quite unwell when I heard this. Simply a perfect line for Fiddlesticks.
I wish he had a interaction with ahri reminding her of when her addiction of eating souls went too far and ate her lovers soul. Even tho her lover knew about her eating souls and let her do it still traumatize her to where she even tried to get rid of the memory completely
the voice actor really did amazing work! "Sarah.. SARAH!" holy smokes that spooked me also, i wanna say his interaction with nunu is actually kinda sweet, in a heartwarming way

I really want to see fiddlesticks interact with jynx in arcane now. I know it would shatter my heart into a million pieces to watch that, but I also think it would be incredibly powerful.
I think they hinted at it actually. Unless it's swain they are leading up to, but I doubt it. Each and every time jinx, cait, vi or whoever is fearing, truly fearful of their lives or someone else's, we see crows. They showed the crows when jinx had what happened at the end of act 1, and they appeared when vi met jinx at the end of act 2. They showed more crows at the dinner table at the end of act 3. I could be way off in left field with this, but I think it's fiddlesticks looming around and feeding on their fear. I tried to be vague and not list any potential spoilers lol.
I don't think you actually want to see that interaction in arcane. He's the prime evil, been around before death was born, Kindred. Demons don't know his name but he knows their names, even Swain's secret demon. Demon's get their power from the name and it's their weakness. In lore he's one of the strongest, top 5 easy. Jinx would die in that encounter. Same with all Piltover Champs. The only exception might be Camille because she's literally built different. She has the body to escape. Basically if you don't control strong magic, or aren't named Jax or Yi (only non Gods that have feats of Gods), you can't win.
Looking into some of the other voice lines fiddle has while wandering around, you also get pieces of his origins. He would hide in this field, and a lot of the lines from his past victims are like “do you hear something moving in the grass?” or like “it’s just a scarecrow, what are you so afraid of?” or “I keep hearing of kids coming into the fields and going missing…” things like that! Cool to see how he stalked his victims and mimicked them after death.
No, you got that wrong. Fiddlesticks would be more likely to repeat someone's reaction to you farting. Like: "Gross it smells like someone left out a carton of cottage cheese for two months"
He loves his sister deeply, his duty is to exterminate mages. Demacians shackle them, torture them, and execute them. Now his own sister faces that fate. It's not just "uwu magic bad", it's the most important member of your family has a secret that would get her killed if anyone found out, and it's you who would have to do it, or else your entire family will probably be outlawed and killed. That and she's kept it hidden for the first 20 or so years of her life, incuding from you.
@@morantNO1 to be fair, ever since he found out about Lux, he tried his best to find a way to make peace with some wizards, but Jarvan III died because of mages(theoretically), so Jarvan IV vow to kill any mages within Demacia, even though he stated he once fell in love with someone of magical origins(Shyvana)
I wish they would use fiddle more in the lore and have him scare all these champs with edgy tragic pasts giving them a good jump scare. Fiddle is legit one of the best designed champs when it comes to appearance and creativity

A little extra tidbit: Fiddlesticks feed on Fear but he's actually not a Fear Demon, it's speculated he's actually much much higher on the Hierarchy of Demons, his old poem going "Fiddlesticks, First of Ten". This is how he's able to know everyone's fears, using it to pray on their despair. -He calls Lux 'Little Light' since that is what Sylas, Lux's biggest "mistake" nickname for her. It reminds her of how many died because of her. -As for Yasuo/Riven/Yone, Riven killed an important Ionian figure and fled, however Yasuo was blamed for this, forcing him to also flee. Yone, being his brother was tasked with hunting Yasuo, the two fought to the death, Yasuo killing him in the process. -The reason Fiddlesticks calls the other demons by their names might seem odd since it's not their biggest fear but it actually is. As Yone explains, having a Demon's true name is needed in order to banish them. Fiddlesticks is actually the name of the legend people use to refer to him, so this is actually Fiddlesticks' way of saying, "I know your weakness, you don't know mine." Once again establishing as somehow even more powerful than the other demons.
@ObjectnimationsOSC They usually just take names they take a liking too, Tahm Kench for example is the name of one of his earliest victims that he just adopted. Evelynn likely just did the same. I don't think tho those names really "count" as true names, they're more just names in mortal language they identify with. When fiddle kills any of the demons he actually calls them by their element or whatever you want to call it. Evelynn is "Agony" Tahm Kench "Addiction" etc etc. So it's possible their real names are those words but translated into demonic language or whatever script they use, It is likely Fiddle knows all their real names, due to him being so old and powerful, just not confirmed as Riot just never thought this far ahead so he doesn't use their "true" names when killing/banishing them instead he just says "agony" or whatever. Cause they haven't canonically been given real names in demonic language. A good example is "Raum" which possibly sounds like a real name, Fiddle also calls Raum, Secrets (Which could be his mortal language name similar to Eve etc) hinting at him being the demon of that.

Raum would be the exception if that is his name perhaps cause he respects him less than the others or something idk.

Garen has magic blood. They might have foreshadowed the discovery of his powers after giving him a shield on his W ability, just like Lux has it. Also, the light of his ultimate, might be a little more than just Kayle’s powers over the sword,m. I mean… it is extremely bright… Lux is a light sorceress… might not be pure coincidence.
As I understood it from Kayle's and Morgana's lore, it was their mother's sword that fell from the sky and so it split in two. I'm not sure what happened after that, but I believe Kayle took both halves since Morgana doesn't wield any sword. Don't remember why Kayle took both.
Old Fiddlesticks lore was brutal to, they used him to execute people by pecking them to death with crows. Old Fiddlesticks in game. Silly scarecrow goes boo.
SPOILERS FOR ARCANE: When Jinx messes with the blue stone in her lair, it explodes and she sees flashes of the day where she killed her friends and Vander. She starts crying and apologizing then gets up and runs away. I think she blames herself for their deaths which is why fiddlestick's interaction with her can trigger a traumatic reaction. Realistically it was her who blew up the building but she didn't know the power of her bomb and it was in desperation to save them.
When and if arcane introduces fiddle in one of the future seasons, you damn right it will send chills down my spine if this is how his voice will sound
They could put him in. No real way to have him interact with main characters as almost everyone who is hunted by him dies and the few survivors are left mentally broken from the experience.
As a fiddlesticks professional, I have much respect for this highlighting of the other champions' worst fears that this masterpiece of a character represents.
Well, in the begining, she was just an edgy Monsterhunters. Season 1 onwards... She just stated "she has no time for nonsense" or "Joke?! What do you mean?" to her summoner when you make her joke back in the day. When Eve got her update, they put in this story to flesh her out a bit more... Because she was pretty... plain.
@Holy Water Vayne's original lore was, that she is an demacian monterhuntress, which Parents got murderd by monsters after she grew up. Her parents were simply some innocent folk. So Vayne went all grumpy and became edgy. The current story is basicly the same in green... Just more fleshed out... She is just a coldass hunt resswith a huge hate for monsters of all kind.

Fiddlesticks is the most mysterious champion to this day because we still dont know his full power, name, or what he even looks like. He straight up threatens every champ in the game showing his superiority and that he himself has no fear as he is fear himself. Even death fears him
I don’t think fiddle is calling kindred grey man to scare them, I’m not even sure kindred can be scared. I think it’s more likely because kindred is one of few entities in runeterra that fiddlesticks “knows”, the others being the other demons who he also calls by name. It’s quite obvious that fiddle has interacted A LOT with kindred, being the murderous demon he is, and recognising kindred as the grey man shows how truly ancient he is, no other champions other than lamb and wolf themselves (maybe not even wolf) seem to recall that there was once the grey man!

The Scarecrow is Fiddlesticks. He created the form so it is part of him. Also, he doesn’t just mimic what people say before they die or their past traumas. As the Demon of Fear, he can actually see into people’s hearts and their true fears.

I don't think he created the scarecrow. It's said that he has 9 forms in total and the scarecrow is just one of them. The reason he's always acting clumsy is because he didn't have access to the "earth" plane for as long as some other demons like Evelyn so he's literally still learning how to walk.

I feel like Pyke is not going to be "afraid" of anything specifically, due the fact that he has lost the memory to his previous life and is now pretty much a walking corpse with a harpoon killing people on his list.
But imo the only thing that might make him really have an existential crisis about is probably something about his list.
For example, Fiddlesticks talks about how Pyke's list will eventually become empty, leaving no one left for Pyke to kill.
At that point, Pyke will lose all his purpose to "life", as the list is basically his only purpose, to kill.

@@alexs5814 The actual lore of Teemo is pretty sad. (As I'm aware of, at least in the Omega Group skin line) He was part of a group of soldiers who died at a war. He saw them diying and was heavily injured but managed to survive. Now he has PTSD from it, as heard in the voicelines.

Maybe that's why he says the other demons names out loud when he sees them, to spark their fear of having their names used against them.
Don't know if this is the case in leagues lore tho.

It's not, but if you didn't know, Yone uses their names to seal them and Yone is a human that has an Azakana (Little demon) Attached to him, the masks represents the demons that got sealed and his mask represents his Azakana

Also Nunu is one of the most likeable caracter in league.
The jinx lines are the juiciest in my humble opinion. Jinx's pick lines are "rules are made to be broken, like buildings...or PEOPLE", the fact that she feels guilty about something to the extent that fiddle stick can torment her with it is interesting to me.
she is a psicho, but she isnt a real monster. in the comics she share with ziggs, she destroys a building and she got worried about the people inside it from a moments

She clearly has a conscious and is capable of felling guilt. But personally I think she feels it's too late to turn back.
She has a similar interaction with Swain where he brings it up.

It's likely that what she did is what caused her to snap and go insane.
Probably because what happened in the past made her snap. Often times, people use their trauma to cope with it. Example: Rape victims can become hypersexual to cope with what happened. "It can't hurt me, if I'm the one controlling it."

And the wholesome sentence makes it extremely creepy to me, given the context, without counting the fact that he uses both his screechy and gritty voice in there, adding up to all of that... Maybe I'm overanalyzing this, but I did feel pretty terrified and had that sort of heart pressure created because of being quite unwell when I heard this. Simply a perfect line for Fiddlesticks.

I really want to see fiddlesticks interact with jynx in arcane now. I know it would shatter my heart into a million pieces to watch that, but I also think it would be incredibly powerful.
I think they hinted at it actually. Unless it's swain they are leading up to, but I doubt it. Each and every time jinx, cait, vi or whoever is fearing, truly fearful of their lives or someone else's, we see crows. They showed the crows when jinx had what happened at the end of act 1, and they appeared when vi met jinx at the end of act 2. They showed more crows at the dinner table at the end of act 3.
I could be way off in left field with this, but I think it's fiddlesticks looming around and feeding on their fear.

I don't think you actually want to see that interaction in arcane. He's the prime evil, been around before death was born, Kindred. Demons don't know his name but he knows their names, even Swain's secret demon. Demon's get their power from the name and it's their weakness. In lore he's one of the strongest, top 5 easy. Jinx would die in that encounter. Same with all Piltover Champs. The only exception might be Camille because she's literally built different. She has the body to escape. Basically if you don't control strong magic, or aren't named Jax or Yi (only non Gods that have feats of Gods), you can't win.

Looking into some of the other voice lines fiddle has while wandering around, you also get pieces of his origins. He would hide in this field, and a lot of the lines from his past victims are like “do you hear something moving in the grass?” or like “it’s just a scarecrow, what are you so afraid of?” or “I keep hearing of kids coming into the fields and going missing…” things like that! Cool to see how he stalked his victims and mimicked them after death.

A little extra tidbit: Fiddlesticks feed on Fear but he's actually not a Fear Demon, it's speculated he's actually much much higher on the Hierarchy of Demons, his old poem going "Fiddlesticks, First of Ten".
This is how he's able to know everyone's fears, using it to pray on their despair.
-He calls Lux 'Little Light' since that is what Sylas, Lux's biggest "mistake" nickname for her. It reminds her of how many died because of her.
-As for Yasuo/Riven/Yone, Riven killed an important Ionian figure and fled, however Yasuo was blamed for this, forcing him to also flee. Yone, being his brother was tasked with hunting Yasuo, the two fought to the death, Yasuo killing him in the process.
-The reason Fiddlesticks calls the other demons by their names might seem odd since it's not their biggest fear but it actually is. As Yone explains, having a Demon's true name is needed in order to banish them. Fiddlesticks is actually the name of the legend people use to refer to him, so this is actually Fiddlesticks' way of saying, "I know your weakness, you don't know mine." Once again establishing as somehow even more powerful than the other demons.
@ObjectnimationsOSC They usually just take names they take a liking too, Tahm Kench for example is the name of one of his earliest victims that he just adopted. Evelynn likely just did the same. I don't think tho those names really "count" as true names, they're more just names in mortal language they identify with. When fiddle kills any of the demons he actually calls them by their element or whatever you want to call it.
Evelynn is "Agony" Tahm Kench "Addiction" etc etc. So it's possible their real names are those words but translated into demonic language or whatever script they use, It is likely Fiddle knows all their real names, due to him being so old and powerful, just not confirmed as Riot just never thought this far ahead so he doesn't use their "true" names when killing/banishing them instead he just says "agony" or whatever. Cause they haven't canonically been given real names in demonic language. A good example is "Raum" which possibly sounds like a real name, Fiddle also calls Raum, Secrets (Which could be his mortal language name similar to Eve etc) hinting at him being the demon of that.
@ObjectnimationsOSC There is of course another angle and I'm rambling but, that he's just teasing them by calling them both their preferred name and what they represent, but never quite uttering the demonic one almost like the original comment suggests that he's playing on their fear cause they know he knows it and none of them know his, he's just not saying it cause he doesn't actually want to banish them, they cause a LOT of fear after all. Raum would be the exception if that is his name perhaps cause he respects him less than the others or something idk.

@@heyimv3833 no that's actually true. Kayle anwsers garen prayers and helps him, so that's where that huge sword comes from. And, when you think about it, it is magic, so logical why sylas can copy it.
Garen has magic blood. They might have foreshadowed the discovery of his powers after giving him a shield on his W ability, just like Lux has it. Also, the light of his ultimate, might be a little more than just Kayle’s powers over the sword,m. I mean… it is extremely bright… Lux is a light sorceress… might not be pure coincidence.

As I understood it from Kayle's and Morgana's lore, it was their mother's sword that fell from the sky and so it split in two. I'm not sure what happened after that, but I believe Kayle took both halves since Morgana doesn't wield any sword. Don't remember why Kayle took both.
I believe Garen prays to Kayle since he believes in justice or something, and literally answered right after he prays

SPOILERS FOR ARCANE: When Jinx messes with the blue stone in her lair, it explodes and she sees flashes of the day where she killed her friends and Vander. She starts crying and apologizing then gets up and runs away. I think she blames herself for their deaths which is why fiddlestick's interaction with her can trigger a traumatic reaction. Realistically it was her who blew up the building but she didn't know the power of her bomb and it was in desperation to save them.

Well, in the begining, she was just an edgy Monsterhunters. Season 1 onwards...
She just stated "she has no time for nonsense" or "Joke?! What do you mean?" to her summoner when you make her joke back in the day.
When Eve got her update, they put in this story to flesh her out a bit more... Because she was pretty... plain.
@Holy Water Vayne's original lore was, that she is an demacian monterhuntress, which Parents got murderd by monsters after she grew up. Her parents were simply some innocent folk. So Vayne went all grumpy and became edgy.
The current story is basicly the same in green...
Just more fleshed out...
She is just a coldass hunt resswith a huge hate for monsters of all kind.

I don’t think fiddle is calling kindred grey man to scare them, I’m not even sure kindred can be scared. I think it’s more likely because kindred is one of few entities in runeterra that fiddlesticks “knows”, the others being the other demons who he also calls by name. It’s quite obvious that fiddle has interacted A LOT with kindred, being the murderous demon he is, and recognising kindred as the grey man shows how truly ancient he is, no other champions other than lamb and wolf themselves (maybe not even wolf) seem to recall that there was once the grey man!
Kindred fear is loneliness, and becoming grey man would make it one again
